COUNTRYCUZ1's SparkPeople Blog COUNTRYCUZ1's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Back to business! After a wonderful, relaxing week in Cuba, I have put 5 pounds back on with no effort at all! Now I am really motivated to get back on track. I was angry with myself when I weighed in and discovered the weight gain, but then I then I became more motivated as I remembered how terrific I felt when I was losing the weight and how fat I felt as I was putting it back on. Sometimes a holiday or rest from tracking food is a good thing and lead to greater motivation when back on track! Had a great... Tue, 8 May 2012 08:20:31 EST Moving ahead Wow, I just got to level 7 after two and a half months! Moving up levels is really motivating and I am going to give myself a Spark Goodie! This has not been as hard as I thought it would be. In fact I look forward to tracking my food and posting blogs and reading articles. I have learned so much in the past 2 months. Thank you Spark People! Thu, 26 Apr 2012 07:45:36 EST Difficult It is so very difficult to keep on track when you go out to a dinner party. I t is not polite to refuse any part of the meal and you end up eating far more than your daily suggested calories. I can't become an unsociable hermit and refuse invitations to dinners, but gosh it is no fun when the price is paid for overeating. Sat, 21 Apr 2012 20:45:25 EST Next level Made it to level 6 and after two months still doing well. A slight slide when I went on vacation, but back on track now. Great to know that we can indulge once in a while!!! 252 Fri, 30 Mar 2012 08:04:57 EST Yikes! Just back from a week in Costa Rica and I had no trouble putting pounds back on! Now I have to start and get back on track! Tue, 27 Mar 2012 16:08:06 EST Another one gone! Can't believe I've lost another pound and that is after eating 1/2 a donut and 1/2 a delicious, mouth-watering pizza yesterday! Sparks really works!! Make my day!!! 334 Thu, 15 Mar 2012 08:08:21 EST Weekends Weekends are so difficult. My husband is home and wants to eat , so I have to make more than I normally would. Plus we go out to dinners!!! Sat, 10 Mar 2012 09:02:57 EST Well done! Just watched the video on how was started. Kudos to Chris Downie for giving so much time and $$ to this idea. You have helped so many people, including myself, to achieve our goals in a painless and fun manner. Great initiative and thank-you so much! Thu, 8 Mar 2012 08:05:03 EST DID IT !!! I can't believe that I achieved the goad that Sparkpeople set for me at the end of January. This way of losing weight actually works. I achieved my goal weight today and I am just ecstatic! I have never been able to stay with a weight loss program before as I always felt deprived and had terrible cravings. Sparkpeople has changed my whole outlook on food and exercise and I am a healthier person for it! Kudos and kisses to Sparkpeople!! Wed, 7 Mar 2012 07:44:31 EST Almost there I can't believe it is actually happening! After 5 years of dieting , I am 1 pound away from my original goal and the goal set by sparkpeople. Can't believe it. Kudos to this web-site! Fri, 2 Mar 2012 07:39:54 EST Unreal! Can't believe it ! Went on vacation and put 2 pounds back on! Two days later I have lost 3 pounds and am at a weight I haven't seen in 5 years! Really true about not denying your body all the time - it goes into starvation mode and hangs on to the calories. Seems that when the body knows it will be 'treated well' it gives up the weight faster! Yippeeee! Wed, 29 Feb 2012 07:54:36 EST Vacation - ugh! Back from a short vacation to England and 2 pounds heavier ! All that hard work and so very easy to put it back on in a jiffy! Back to the grindstone and the veggies ! Mon, 27 Feb 2012 10:59:14 EST Relief! Thanx to those who encouraged me after my bout of depression following my valentine's indulgence..........the pounds I put on have gone! Hallejuh! I guess it is true that if you allow your body to celebrate once in awhile it is not so likely to hold on the fat for survival purposes. Anyway, I am really happy to be back on track. Thu, 16 Feb 2012 08:09:36 EST Valentine's Day I am so upset. I totally fell off the wagon tonight. Was taken out for a beautiful Valentines' Day dinner and ate like a pig. Wine, chocolate fondue......etc. I dread getting on the scales tomorrow. Wish my metabolism was not crawling. All that hard work and poof I am back to where I was a week ago. Disgusted with myself! 234 Tue, 14 Feb 2012 21:31:20 EST
