It feels so good! These little successes make me feel excited and successful. I'm not trying to lose all my weight in 2 months anymore and I'm not looking at everything like it's "all or nothing". There was quite a long stretch where I didn't lose any weight but this time I did not get discouraged. I just kept making my healthy choices and eventually my body caught up. I went overboard a couple days and ate crazy - at the end of those days I was amazed at how man... Sat, 2 Feb 2013 12:04:31 EST Always take my SP app with me! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5227815 Today I went to lunch with my friend to an Asian restaurant. I forgot my phone at the office that has my SP app on it (where I check food calories). I started out very good with a huge salad and small amount of dressing. Then I figured I would have Generals Tso chicken, about the amount of a large chicken breast. I thought it would be a little high in calories, but I would cut back on dinner. WOW!! That chicken was probably more than I should have eaten all day. Huge lesson for me! If ... Mon, 28 Jan 2013 21:23:35 EST I'm so angry I didn't gain a pound! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5218615 I didn't say that when I ate high calorie food everyday and sat on the couch. I didn't gain a pound every week. Sometimes I didn't gain a pound in a whole month! I gained my weight gradually over time and eventually I ended up at 184 lbs.

Well, I haven't lost a pound in a while. Surprisingly I'm not freaking out this time! I'm not getting angry because I have counted every calorie and exercised and the number on the scale didn't go down. I know my body will adjust gradually a... Tue, 22 Jan 2013 12:40:45 EST How do I exercise with pain? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5213463 GRRR. I want to exercise. For the past 9 months I get severe leg cramps/spasms in both my calves. It's like charlie horses that don't go away for 30 minutes. When it hits I can't walk. It's usually about the time I get off work and it comes and goes...so ususally 5 minutes into an exercise I have to stop and sit. It feels like the muscle is exhausted and burns on the last rep of an exercise, but it stays that way. It will hurt so much I could cry. Then after about a half hour it calms d... Fri, 18 Jan 2013 19:23:17 EST Where is this extra skin gonna go? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5210458 It appears my stomach is not snapping back like it did when I was younger. Back then I would gain around 70-80lbs in pregancy but within a year it would be gone and my stomach would return to normal. Now I have folds of skin that are kinda "droopy". What the heck!!! I seriously am not liking the look of this and was not expecting it. I wonder if it eventually get firmer or am I just stuck with a baggy belly? I don't know. I am going to search the site to see if anyone has posted info o... Wed, 16 Jan 2013 18:30:12 EST I do better with small goals. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5207461 Big goals overwhelm me. I have changed to mini goals.
I use my SP weight chart increments as my guide (from the report). I don't know if everyones are the same but the charted lines in my graph report are in 8 lbs increments such as...184 -176-168 ect...I am setting my goals as 2 months to reach the next line (8 lbs). which is very reasonable. There is something about crossing that chart line that makes me happy!! When I hit that line I can visually see a whole block of weight behind ... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 21:41:11 EST I've been away for a long time. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5191557 I let other life events take priority in my life. NO! I chose to let other life events take priority. Excuses make me feel better. It's easy to find excuses not to eat right or exercise.
Choices make me accountable. I am overweight because of the unhealthy choices I have made in the past. I have even made goal setting less strict. I would say "I don't expect to get down to 130 lbs again, but I'd be happy at 140. Why? Why not set my goal at 130 lbs which is healthy for a woman 5'3... Sat, 5 Jan 2013 12:39:50 EST Curse the scale!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4846411 I'm up a pound. ARGGGG!!! I know it will come off eventually but those numbers still make me mad! mad! mad! Just had to let that little vent out!! There! Now I feel better:)

I'm not going to give up - therefore I'm not going to fail. I'm really going to push the effort on exercise today and continue successfully reaching my goal on eating. I am going to breath deep and hold my head up high because I'm doing great things to get healthy.

For punishment I will... Sun, 22 Apr 2012 11:06:01 EST I finally really exercised! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4830854 I recieved my exercise videos today. I have decided to start with 10 minute segments on Cardio Blast. I just completed the Kickboxing! Now I'm not saying it was pretty or perfect, but I completed the whole 10 minutes and I feel really good. I couldn't do any of the jumping because of my joints, so I did the modified as the coach suggested and I kept up and gave it my all. During the slow down, I had to hold onto a chair for balance while I did some of the stretches. Eventually, once my ... Wed, 11 Apr 2012 19:29:43 EST Weighing in http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4827478 I think I will start weighing myself weekly instead of daily. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, but I don't like to see the scale go up and down a pound on a daily basis. Yesterday I ate quite a bit and went over my calories. I'm not bothered by it. It's the first time in 3 weeks and I know there will be days I'm over and days I'm under. My biggest goal is to live a healthy lifestyle with good food and fitness.

I am happy about eating healthier foods. I can remember many days... Mon, 9 Apr 2012 17:47:21 EST Finally starting in include exercise:) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4824451 Finally lost a pound! WooHoo! I like this Special K protein plus cereal. It has 10g protein and 5g fiber. I know it will be a new favorite for me. I am taking the kids & grandkids to the Toledo zoo today so I will get plenty of walking which will be fun. I don't like walking just for exercise. This coming week I am setting an exercise goal. I ordered the sparkpeople 28 day exercise video plus their other two videos. I do love to do the Wii Just Dance with the kids. It's so much fun and really... Sat, 7 Apr 2012 11:12:01 EST My journey... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4823267 Today I weighed 173...again. I haven't eaten enough calories to reach my daily goals and I think my metabolizim is slowing down. I'm going to try to increase my calories to at least 1200 this week to see if it helps. I'm making healthier choices! I just need to stop trying to lose quicker by bending the rules. Fri, 6 Apr 2012 12:05:45 EST
