Tue, 16 Sep 2014 20:29:59 EST August Weight Loss Challenge http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5751594 I am doing a weight loss challenge at work for the month of August. We had our initial weigh in yesterday on August 1st and the challenge will go 4 weeks with weekly weigh-ins. The last weigh-in is Friday August 29th. The winner gets a $25 gift card. The most motivating factor for me is my coworker who claims he is going to win. I can't let that happen! We are basing it on body weight percentage lost.

I am also trying to get more organized and continue to clean out the clutte... Sat, 2 Aug 2014 09:48:58 EST Let's have a great weekend! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5742028 I was thinking about some negative things, just small every day things, that happened lately this morning and it got me feeling kind of down. I think with being out in the public and at work you are going to come across people that don't care about others and that are stressed out and sound like they are taking it out on you. I'm trying not to let these things bother me and I just have to remember that many people do care and not to take the way people act at work personally. That being sa... Sat, 19 Jul 2014 10:38:30 EST Fell off track this week. Going to have a great day tomorrow! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5736250 This week has not been good at all. It started with the holiday weekend where I ate way too much. The spark activity tracker was also down so I used that as an excuse not to wear it and even though it's back up now I still didn't wear it today. I have barely exercised at all this week and stopped tracking food because I've been eating so much.

So, what am I going to do? I could let the viscous cycle of feeling depressed and eating more and not exercise continue or I could stop ... Thu, 10 Jul 2014 20:02:57 EST June recap and July goals http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5729272 My goal in June was to exercise 120 minutes every day. I did this for the first 3 weeks and then I missed some days. I felt like I was getting in shape doing this but it's not really sustainable for me to have this as my goal every day. I really didn't watch what I eat at all in June and since I was exercising more I started eating more.

For my July goals, I'm going to aim for 60 minutes of cardio every day. I am also going to track what I eat no matter what. I want to focus... Mon, 30 Jun 2014 18:46:52 EST Determined to reach my 5% goal. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5722602 I'm excited to begin my fourth 5% challenge with the Shooting Stars team. I have stuck with my June plan of 120 minutes of exercise a day. It can be really challenging to fit it all in but I feel a lot better sticking with it even though it's been just a few weeks.
I am going to be active on the team and track exercise and living the good life goals every day. Every day I am going to focus on the following goals:

1. 120 minutes of exercise
2. Tracking food
3... Sat, 21 Jun 2014 08:08:11 EST New Month, New Goal! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5708190 I am excited to be headed in the right direction again after gaining 15 pounds this past winter. The weight is slowly coming off now that I'm exercising and eating healthier again. My big goal for June is to exercise 120 minutes every single day in June. I'm going to put a sticker on my calendar every day after I complete my exercise. I am planning on walking, hiking and biking for most of my exercise. I am planning on breaking this up into shorter walks throughout the day for most days.... Sun, 1 Jun 2014 15:19:29 EST Ways to Relax http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5704341 It seems like I always have something to do whether it's to schedule something, clean, organize, work, or some other activity that takes away from just relaxing. So today, since I'm off work, I am going to take two hours this afternoon and just read. I haven't done this in a long time. What are some ways you like to relax?

67 149 106 67 149 106 67 149 106 67 Tue, 27 May 2014 12:02:32 EST How the 5% Challenge Motivates Me http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5703836 The most motivating parts of the 5% challenge for me are the daily goals and having to post them on my team's thread. This gives me a goal to meet every day and it feels great when I can post my exercise minutes and goals met in the team challenge. Instead of focusing on a big goal like "losing 20 pounds" or "fitting back into a smaller size" I can focus on getting my exercise minutes in every day and eating healthy. This gives me a more focused goal and is helping me move towards my large... Mon, 26 May 2014 21:07:29 EST
