It is a struggle as you can see if you have followed my success then failure to keep the weight off and then multiple rededications. The good news is I am not giving up. Wed, 15 Oct 2014 10:49:58 EST Gotta stay positive So my mission for the next couple weeks is to stay positive. <BR> <BR> Classes started wednesday ( delayed due to the artic freeze over here is chicago). I am taking 4 classes. Three of which pertain to my social work major. But as an elective I am taking a spanish dance class, in which I have to wear some pretty 'form fitting' clothing. Also, hair has to be pulled back away from the face. So basically, I have to face two of my biggest physical insecurites being exposed ( huge forehead, ex... Sat, 11 Jan 2014 21:12:08 EST Blog1-4-13 Well yesterday was CHAOTIC. I had work in the A.M. ( I am a home care assistant). Then I traveled far, and I mean a distance, to bring my doggy into the low cost vet clinic. He is having some serious issues with his teeth, plus he is having bathroom issues as far as going in the house, plus needed his shots. Well, he ended up getting sick last night. <BR> <BR> After getting home around 6 p.m. I colored my hair and took a shower. By the time I was done, I ended up crashing out . <BR> <BR> B... Sat, 4 Jan 2014 09:42:17 EST Rededication As part of the rededication to my weight loss journey, I have decided to blog daily regarding my progress. That being said .... let the blogging begin. <BR> <BR> Today was good. I did the 30 minute circuit at planet fitness, high intensity on the stepping. I did 40 min on the elliptical and some extra ab work. <BR> <BR> I was good on food . Coffee/water in the morning. I ate an apple and pint of cherry tomatoes around noon. I abandoned my sparkpage and the sparkpeople community ... and I am up to 156.4 LBS !!! I am so dissapointed in myself ... I had lost 23 pounds !!!! BUT am once again ready to stick with it ! Another lesson learned ... This is a LIFESTYLE change , not a quick fix !!! So here I go again ... determined to stick it out and make it count. Im back on sparkpeople ! Well I was hoping to be around 142 about this time on my journey, but 17 pounds later at 150.6 I find myself so grateful for being able-bodied and having a choice to live healthy. <BR> <BR> Still need to work on my sugar intake and get more veggies in. Swim suit season is just around the corner :) <em>211</em> Wed, 20 Mar 2013 11:26:06 EST Not Down with the Sickness Today would be day 5 or 6 (depending how you look at it) of my experience with the Flu. I am not 100%, but I feel A LOT better. My temp. seems to have stabilized. It is at 99.4 without Tylenol, down from 103. <BR> <BR> Needless to say, I haven't been able to work out or go to work for the last 5 days. But ... I've lost about 3 1/2 pounds in that time due to the sickness. <BR> <BR> I have faith that I will be all better by tomorrow. Looking forward to getting back to my exercise. Mon, 17 Dec 2012 12:18:59 EST Starting to see changes So, I am on day 7 of Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I still need to work harder on my nutritional plan. I am seeing more definition on my sides and arms. More importantly, I have been feeling a tiny bit more comfortable about myself. I didn't feel such a emphasized need to tug at my clothing and was sitting more naturally when I met a couple people for cocktails last night. I know my current mannerisms are clear indications of battered self-esteem. I also know that it will take practice, even... Work has got me wanting to strap myself to my pillow the moment I walk in the door. Nevertheless, I am about to push through the 30 Day Shred Workout, at least level 1, and the Team Nonstop goals. Mon, 3 Dec 2012 23:33:38 EST Soreness After my workout today I am really feeling it in my legs, and I have a slight tingle in my shins. I think tom. will be a good day for low intensity exercise. I have had shin splints before and I am not interested in having them again. Plus the upper thigh muscle in my left leg is tight. I am thinking for tomorrows exercise I will put in an hour of walking in the gym along with the team non stop goals.
