CMILLE81's SparkPeople Blog CMILLE81's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Back with a vengeance!! Hello again Spark Friends!! I want to share some of the wonderful changes that have come about, already, in this New Year!

I have been a Sparker for years now. I lost weight for my wedding, and then lost weight after my baby, and more recently some of you may have followed my first attempt at Insanity. I made it through the first month and then stopped before starting the second month because “it took too much time” and “I was too stressed from starting work again for the school ... Fri, 17 Feb 2012 17:52:41 EST Ok...Ok So I haven't been blogging like I wanted to, but it has been a major adjustment getting back to work. I haven't been blogging, but I have been working out and eating well...YAY!

Tomorrow my last day of the first month and let me tell you it isn't getting any easier. I say that, but it isn't actually true...It isn't easier, because I am getting stronger and more fit so I can push it harder. Insanity is a program that will be as tough as you make it. If you aren't as fit you ca... Thu, 18 Aug 2011 18:26:14 EST 5am follow up! So I tried...made the effort, but I realized 5am insanity workouts aren't for me! Thank you for all of your kind words and way to go to all of you early morning workout'ers!! I truly had great intentions, got up at 5, got changed, drank some water and ate an orange...but my knees were so stiff I could barely move around and jump so I know I wouldn't get the same effects as a later workout. I stopped the video after not feeling any more nimble after the warm up...however, I did like the extr... Mon, 15 Aug 2011 20:14:36 EST 5am workout...can I do it? So, I figure if I blog it I have to do it! I am still trying to figure out when to workout during the work week. When I leave it until 7:30 pm I sometimes feel full or sluggish and end up not wanting to do it...I also then not want to go to bed afterward. tomorrow I am going to do the unthinkable...get up at 5am and do insanity. I can run at 5am and I have even done some turbo jam or ST...but insanity??? Can I do it? I am sure there are plenty of other people who do it, but am I one of... Sun, 14 Aug 2011 19:53:54 EST Note to self... So I have figured out that I am so much more motivated to stick with things while blogging, so my note to self is BLOG! I am back on track with doing my workouts, and still sweating my little bum off! But I am so unmotivated and have not been eating well! I pretty much stopped blogging after the newness of the workouts wore off. It was like "what else can I say, I've already written about this workout twice". But it looks like I will keep bugging you all out there in the blog world! Now that ... Sat, 13 Aug 2011 16:12:36 EST Road Bump So those of you that have known me a while, during our journey, probably know I am susceptible to tummy problems! When I focus on eating better foods, more protein and less grease, I end up getting very bloated and get my drift. The past two evenings that I've tried my workout it has been miserable! I went to the Dr. today and she told me the usual, so I will up the fiber and try probiotics while drinking lots of water (even though I always do). Even though it isn't right on sc... Mon, 8 Aug 2011 20:35:12 EST Still Going So I haven't blogged in a couple of days...just forgot to yesterday...I am still going, my hubby and I took the day together Tuesday, so I moved my day off to adjust. I am not going to ruin anything so here I am still going!

Yesterday I realized something...Insanity, like running, and I am sure most workouts are so mental! Last week during one workout, I completed the entire warm up and did it really well...well, after that I took a couple of breaks. They aren't breaks for nothing... Thu, 4 Aug 2011 20:17:08 EST Insanity Fit Test #2 So I enjoyed my fun weekend with the hubby, but today was back to insanity! I did my second fit test (day 15) and am happy to say that I did make quite a few gains:

Exersice: Day 1/Day 15 gain/loss
Switch kicks 45/45 same
Power jacks 38/47 +9
Power knees 74/90 +16
Power jumps 26/32 +6
Globe jumps 6/9 +3
Suicide jumps 11/18 +7
Push-up jacks 14/21 +7
Low plank obliqu... Mon, 1 Aug 2011 12:33:05 EST Think I'm going insane! So, I have been trying to figure out what to do workout wise since I will be out of town this weekend. Well, luckily yesterday was just the "stretching" day, so I was ready to go today. Insanity is turning me insane, as I decided to do both Friday and Saturday's exercises before we leave at 4pm. Lucky me, Saturday is the first day we have to do two different YUP that means three workouts in one day...100 insane insanity minutes! I did was crazy hard, but now I don't fe... Fri, 29 Jul 2011 14:14:05 EST Mom of the year award... So as you know, I am trying to keep up with my workouts...WELL today is one of Luke's days to stay home from daycare, which with no daddy this week makes it hard for mommy to workout! I had surprise visitors during nap time and granny is coming over tonight to visit, so no night time workout. I was freaking out since I am already messing up my rotation Saturday. So, "mom of the year" decides to plop Luke in front of the TV to eat his snack while I workout in the other room! I do feel guilt... Wed, 27 Jul 2011 17:32:34 EST Victory! So once again, I almost had myself convinced not to workout (that's the worse part of working out at night) but I did! That was a tiny victory, but then the big news....I guess it's only big news if you have done insanity...I made it through my first warm up without stopping at all! I don't know how others do with the warm up, but I generally have to stop multiple times! It was such a great feeling to keep going; the first two rounds I went a little slower then them, but in the third round I ... Tue, 26 Jul 2011 22:16:21 EST Didn't want to...but did! So I did take Sunday as a rest day, which felt nice on my sore limbs...But man was it hard to push play on the DVD player today! I really think that taking the day off made it more difficult to get the motivation to do it today...I do love how I feel when I am done working out, but geesh I forgot the feeling in one day! I almost had myself convinced that I like being lazy more than I like the feeling after working out! 234 But dern it I made myself workout and I am glad I did. I r... Mon, 25 Jul 2011 22:02:12 EST Week 1 is DONE! So, I consider this a major victory 248 I followed the workouts of Insanity for one whole week. Tomorrow is the rest day, but since I feel so great I might as well add in some ST...I'll keep you posted!

Tonight's video was just as tough as the first time I did it on Tuesday, although I didn't get as winded...Less winded, but just as sweaty if not more! PEOPLE!!! I literally saw drops of sweat falling off me onto the floor! That isn't supposed to happen in a home workout... Sat, 23 Jul 2011 22:29:31 EST Insanity?? Insweaty!!! So, I did it; I took a crack at the night time workout...Practicing another scenario that will come up during the school year. When I started the workout, I wanted to end it immediately! However, I now feel energized and better than ever! I will be doing night time workouts during the school year when I need to stay up late and do homework! I was super tired before the workout and now feel like I could clean the house! YAY!

So back to Insanity, or Insweaty, as I like to call it. ... Fri, 22 Jul 2011 22:09:04 EST Thank you Cardio Recovery! So today I decided to wake up early to recreate a work day (I was actually going into work, just no time deadline) and workout in the morning. I was so tired and sore, but decided to go with it...I am so glad today was my AM workout, because it was perfect! Recovery was basically a stretching/yoga session on steroids...I was skeptical at first, because I generally veer away from yoga and too much stretching, but it was perfect! He was right this will help your muscles recover and get ready fo... Thu, 21 Jul 2011 16:39:53 EST Cardio Power and Resistance So today was day 3! My legs and back were kind of sore, but I kept going! I actually really liked this workout! It was super tough again w/ tons of sweating, but I think I am getting a little more used to it! Today was some more cardio/plyo intervals but added in were more squatting moves, push ups and triceps work so it felt like some ST build in to the tough tough cardio! I am proud of myself for sticking to the plan 3 days in a row, but it is crazy to think I have 3 more days before a rest... Wed, 20 Jul 2011 15:29:59 EST Lessons learned from Insanity...Day 2 WOW!

Lesson number 1: first of all, when I think of Insanity--I think, "was I insane to think I could do this?" So, I have heard other people say this, but the warm up was harder than any other video I've done before--the WARM UP! I wanted to stop after the first round of warm up exercises, but there was like 2-3 more...I lost count!

Lesson number 2: I am just starting so I don't need to go as hard as they do...I can build up my stamina. The fit people in the video wer... Tue, 19 Jul 2011 12:07:41 EST My journey with Insanity! So, I am obviously not much of a blogger, my one blog entry throughout the past 4 years is living proof! So why blog now? Good question...My answer is simple:

1) I want to be accountable for making better choices. My husband is supportive, but is also responsible for a lot of my slip ups (going to eat, having a random drink here and there together when we don't need to, laying on a raft instead of working out). I figure that the more people I can have support me, but knowing my ... Mon, 18 Jul 2011 13:02:08 EST So I finally figured it out! Well, this is my first time blogging, thanks to the B@B challange, and it took me quite awhole to even figure where my blog I got past the first hurddle! Now...what to write?!? I have been wanting to become more accountable for my workouts, so maybe blogging them will help?? We'll start with tomorrow.

Tuesday: AM= Get up and do 20 minutes of video and half of my ST exercises
PM = 20 minute elliptical the other half of my ST exercises
Wednesday AM = 20 mi...
