When I first read the script, I just fell in love with the character. This is my dream role, so I am ecstatic!!

The show goes up a little over a year from now, which is excellent news because it gives me plenty of time to get in shape for this. The costuming and character are such that I'll need to be in a good place with my bo... Wed, 15 Jan 2014 14:22:22 EST Updates http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5437310 Last week was pretty rough - I either didn't have the time and/or energy to hit the gym, so... blah. Not sure that I'll be able to even really hit the gym this week, either, because pretty much the only time I *can* go is on my lunch break, but my lunch breaks are pretty much spoken for this week (have to take 4 rescue kittens to a follow-up vet appointment, have a dental appointment, and have to take my car to the shop to get some issues addressed before we go to KC next week). Evenings pr... Mon, 29 Jul 2013 12:01:09 EST Hitting the metabolism brick wall http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5423290 Ever since I turned 38, it's like my metabolism has hit a brick wall. Stopped cold. Smacked me around a bit for slacking off, and said "Biiiiitch, you thought you had a hard time losing weight *before*? Just you wait and see! LOLOLOL." Metabolism is a jerk. Well, MY metabolism has turned into a major jerk. I haven't been eating particularly badly, I've been focusing on eating fewer processed foods, more "clean" foods, fruits and veggies, very little soda, lots of water, and I'm STILL ga... Tue, 16 Jul 2013 17:34:38 EST Progress http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4923086 So, I've lost just shy of 6 pounds during this most recent South Beach Phase 1. If I remember correctly, I lost around 13 pounds last time I did Phase 1. Not sure why I didn't lose as much as last time, maybe because I was still kinda South Beachin' before I went back on Phase 1 this last time? My other theory is that, since I wasn't logging everything I ate, I might not have been getting enough calories. I also wasn't consuming dairy and beans everyday, so maybe that contributed to not l... Tue, 12 Jun 2012 10:31:18 EST Getting back in the swing of things http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4902413 My life has been pretty crazy the last few months and my focus on my healthy eating lifestyle has certainly suffered. As a result, I've backtracked a little on my weight - I'm up about 6 lbs from my most recent lowest weight. BUT I'm getting back on track, starting TODAY, and I'm going to reverse that pretty quickly. Today I'm starting back on Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet and getting back on the C25K train, and I'm actually excited about both. I took new measurements this morning (EEEK... Tue, 29 May 2012 09:53:50 EST South Beach, Day 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4534627 This South Beach thing is going surprisingly well. I've tried Atkins a couple of times but always gave up after just a couple of days. I know I'm not too far in yet (finishing up day 4), but so far, so good. Haven't actually had cravings *too* bad yet (knock on wood). I was kinda craving some sweets yesterday, but just had some non-fat greek yogurt with some SF raspberry syrup and a splash of vanilla and that more or less nipped it in the bud. I *am* looking forward to getting back some ... Thu, 13 Oct 2011 23:09:52 EST South Beachin' http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4530264 So, I started the South Beach Diet yesterday. I did fine, except there was a little bit of sugar hidden in a few foods I ate and I didn't realize it until I read the labels after I was done eating them. My dill pickle slices? Contain sugar. My dry roasted peanuts? Contain sugar. And the big blow - Sriracha. Sriracha contains sugar. NOOOOOO!!!!!

I work full-time and don't have time to cook eggs every morning, so I made a frittata and some egg muffins on Sunday to get me th... Tue, 11 Oct 2011 12:33:44 EST AAAAAAAAND we're back! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4495009 I've been absent from SP and the gym for awhile. Part of that can be blamed on breaking my toe (note to self: don't drop a full bottle of wine on your toes!), part of that can be blamed on exhaustion (rehearsals and shows that don't end until midnight don't mix well with having to get up at 6:30 and working all day), and part of it can be blamed on laziness. I just can't seem to eat healthy when I'm not working out on the regular, so I've gained back some weight and am now in shouting dist... Tue, 20 Sep 2011 14:16:40 EST 20 minutes! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4275014 Holy freaking crap, I actually did it!!!! I completed the 20 minute run of C25K W5D3! And without having to repeat W5D2 or further build up to it - just straight jumped from W5D2 on Wednesday and was able to do the 20 minutes today. I'm still in shock. I totally didn't expect to be able to do it; my plan was to go as long as I could or 20 minutes, whichever came first. When I got to the last 30 seconds or so of the run, I ran the rest of it with a big-ass grin on my face because I knew I... Fri, 3 Jun 2011 14:13:42 EST Yay for progress! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4272810 I know this is a bit of a cheat, but I received a bit of a jumpstart from an unlikely source: some kind of stomach virus. Yup. Right before and over Memorial Day weekend, I was having some stomach issues which made me drop about 4.5 lbs over 3 days. I fully expected to gain it all right back when I was able to start eating normally again, but so far, so good. If anything, I'm actually down another pound or so since Monday. However, for the last couple of days, I've actually been eating ... Thu, 2 Jun 2011 14:27:10 EST Here we go again http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3762318 So, I stepped on the scale yesterday and saw a number I haven't seen in years (outside of when I was pregnant and for a couple of weeks following delivery). Seeing that number will hopefully be the kick in the ass that I've needed to get my butt in gear and start working out and eating better. I'm still nursing but don't have any dietary restrictions anymore, but I'm afraid to cut my calories back *too* far because I'm afraid it will reduce my supply, so I'll have to keep a close eye on tha... It was really eye-opening for me to see this, because it gives me a better idea of what calorie range I should be aiming for in order to lose... Tue, 1 Jun 2010 10:25:51 EST Back on the wagon http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3262393 Here I go. Starting today, I am going to resume Sparking; meaning I am getting my rather hefty booty back in the gym and am going to start logging everything I eat again. I’m going to try to cut out soda for the most part and watch my portion sizes, which have gotten entirely out of hand in the last year or so. The weird thing is that I’m actually kinda excited about this – I guess because I know that it works since I had great results doing this a couple of years ago (too bad I fell off t... Mon, 24 May 2010 11:06:30 EST Back at Sparkpeople... finally! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3047501 Soooo... I seriously could NOT remember my password for my Sparkpeople account and really didn't want to start it over, so I just fell off the Sparkpeople planet for awhile. Have no idea why I've finally remembered my password today, but I'll take it. 30

Couple of changes in the last year - bought a house, had a baby (who is causing whatever typos I might make in this blog entry 211 ). I had gained back some weight before I got pregnant but at least I didn'... Fri, 26 Mar 2010 19:53:30 EST Woot! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1884464 OK, so back around the beginning of February, I started getting back in the gym. Well, that lasted for about two weeks, and then I had several days where I had to use my lunch break for home-buying process stuff (now THAT sounds official, doesn't it?), so I had to take shorter lunch breaks throughout the rest of the week to make up the time, so I didn't have time to work out. Then the next week I was super-busy at work and couldn't take my full lunch break, so again I didn't have time to wo... Mon, 16 Mar 2009 14:02:56 EST For the first time in several months... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1766519 I actually worked out today. I honestly can't remember the last time I worked out, so it's definitely been awhile. I've even had my friggin' gym bag in my office, all loaded and ready to go, for the last several weeks. Just haven't made it.

Anyway, today I decided that I would go no matter what. Since it's been awhile since I've hit the treadmill, I figured I would get on the elliptical. That way I could read while working out in order to distract myself from the unpleasantnes... Tue, 3 Feb 2009 14:06:06 EST The obligatory new year's resolution http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1659331 So, I have totally fallen off the wagon with regards to my diet and exercise regime. I decided I wasn't going to worry about it until after the holidays because there was no point in trying to jump back on the wagon at a time when most people are probably having to hold on for dear life.

So, I visited family, ate like a pig, vegged out and now I think I'm finally ready to get back into this. I actually have the desire now and have done fairly well today (not as well as I would... Mon, 5 Jan 2009 17:39:05 EST 20 minutes... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1558298 It really sucks to get a dose of horror in the first couple of minutes after you've woken up. It could be seeing a big, fat, hairy spider hanging out in your shower. Or taking a swig of what ends up being spoiled milk. Or it could be stepping on the scale and realizing that your metabolism has said "The hell with you and your lazy ass" because you've gained 7 pounds in about a month.

Yeah, that last one is what happened to me this morning.

And of course I didn't g... Mon, 10 Nov 2008 10:51:06 EST False alarm? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1536545 OK, so my bad weigh-in scare yesterday morning may have been a bit of a false alarm because this morning, my weight was 2 lbs lower than yesterday morning. I think yesterday's "high" was the result of a pizza binge on Sunday night 211

At any rate, it gave me enough of a scare to make me get up early this morning so I can actually go work out on my lunch break. Wheeee!

UPDATE:
Yay! I actually worked out! I hopped on the treadmill and managed a 10 minut... Tue, 28 Oct 2008 11:34:43 EST Sigh... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1534490 Still doing horribly with the whole not working out/not watching what I eat thing. I just got done with another show and our rehearsals ran late every night, so I was getting hardly any sleep, so I was having an impossible time getting up early, so I didn't have time to work out.... ugh. Now that the show is over, I really hope that I can start getting more sleep so I can get up earlier, so I can blah blah blah... Of course, that also means getting my 3 year old to start going to bed earlie... The bad thing is that the workout sucked. I decided to hit the treadmill since the elliptical usually leaves me pretty sore (especially since I haven't worked out in ages!). I was afraid that if I was too sore tomorrow from an elliptical workout today that I wouldn't end up working out tomorrow. This way, hopefully I won't be too sore to wo... Mon, 29 Sep 2008 14:01:00 EST Bad ClioCalliope! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1480241 OK, so I've been SO bad since going on vacation at the beginning of August. I've only worked out TWICE since then and that was in the week immediately following getting back. So I haven't worked out at all in the last, oh, month and a half.

Surprisingly enough, I actually haven't gained any weight and am down another 5 lbs or so from before I went on vacation. Not sure how that is happening, because I haven't been logging my food and I've not really been watching what I eat an... Fri, 26 Sep 2008 10:16:16 EST Oy vey http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1397206 Well, I've been completely lax in my diet and workout routine the last two weeks. For all my good intentions during my vacation (i.e. booking a hotel with a gym, trying to bring some of our own food), I never once worked out and ate like crap. Today was the first time that I've worked out in the last two weeks - elliptical for 35 minutes and it didn't kick my butt as badly as I thought it would. I think that's only because I had a good book with me - I absolutely have to have some sort of ... Tue, 12 Aug 2008 16:57:37 EST Grrrr http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1370085 Man, I am really struggling with just wanting to eat CRAP. OK, not literally *crap*, but junk food. I want pizza. Not a Lean Cuisine pizza (which I had for lunch), but thick slices of pepperoni pizza from Hideaway. Damn. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I had planned on making black bean soup with (turkey) italian sausage tonight, which sounds good, but not as good as *drool* Hideaway pizza.

The Big Texas Cinnamon Rolls in the vending machine at work are totally t... Wed, 30 Jul 2008 17:44:02 EST Holy #@%*@* (W5D3 C25K) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1367305 Holy frakking cow. I actually did it. I ran TWENTY minutes nonstop. I think I'm in shock. Really.

I really didn't even set out to do twenty minutes today because I didn't think I could do it yet. The last week and a half has been rough, work-out wise - I managed a 13 minute run on Sat 7/22, then I only worked out on Tuesday (just walking with a very brief run because I was crampy) and finally, this past Saturday, I was only able to manage a 10 minute run for my longest. I was... Tue, 29 Jul 2008 14:45:14 EST Getting closer to 20... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1352816 Well, I'm still a long ways from it, but this past Saturday, I got closer to my 20 minute run by completing my longest run ever (and I do mean EVER) - 13 minutes. I thought I was going to die afterwards.

I set out to do 2 10 minute runs, but after I got started, I decided to just go as long as I could, or 20 minutes, whichever came first. While I was well into my first run, a song came onto my iPod that was absolutely in sync with my footfalls on the treadmill - "Whip It" by De... Tue, 22 Jul 2008 22:46:36 EST More W5D2 C25K goodness (kinda) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1338500 I've successfully completed W5D2 a couple of times now, so why the hell was it so difficult today?! Geez. Not even 3 minutes into my first run, I was looking at the time, lamenting that I still had plenty more time to run, and seriously considering just making today a "walking" day. Not good. I still actually managed to do everything I was supposed to, but boy was it difficult. I really think the only thing that got me through was the knowledge that I had already done this a couple of ti... Wed, 16 Jul 2008 14:24:20 EST Pack Rat http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1335262 Y'know... sometimes it pays to be a pack rat. My husband would probably disagree with me on that, considering that he's griped at me for years about my pack rat ways. Over the years, as I've put on more and more weight, I bagged up clothes that no longer fit. Bags and bags have accumulated since then. Clothes that I gave up on ever fitting into again. Bags and bags of clothes that I keep saying that I'll take to Goodwill or something. And oh boy, has my 3 year old son had a heydey with ... Tue, 15 Jul 2008 09:31:00 EST Mmmm, margaritas... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1329328 Ahh, why do margaritas have to be SO yummy? Why does Mexican food have to be so yummy? I knew yesterday that I was going out to dinner at a nice Mexican restaurant with a few friends, so I planned for it by consuming lower-calorie foods during the day (still ate breakfast and lunch, as well as morning and afternoon snacks), but I still went way over my calories for the day. I kinda figured that would happen. Top shelf margaritas will do that. And 5 layer dip with queso blanco, refried be... Sat, 12 Jul 2008 15:24:00 EST W5D2 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1325570 If someone had told me even 2 months ago that I would be able to run 8 minutes straight, I would have asked them what they were smoking.

Well, today I did it. I ran two 8-minute stretches (OK, *jogged* two 8-minute stretches) and actually threw in an extra 3 minute jog (at a faster speed) before my cooldown. And I didn't really feel like I was going to die, which is a good thing. However, I don't feel ready yet to move on to Day 3 (20 minute run), so I think I'm going to hang ... Thu, 10 Jul 2008 18:39:50 EST W5D1 C25K (aka WOOT!) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1320055 With some trepidation, I started Week 5 today. The 5 minute jogs of Week 4 really gave me some problems, so I was nervous about doing 3 of them today (and then 2 EIGHT minute jogs on Thursday and a TWENTY minute jog on Sunday!!). In the end, I shouldn't have been so worried because I did just fine. I focused on my breathing and barely looked at the time and just kept on trucking. There was a pretty serious distraction, though, during my first 5 minute jog - my friggin' underwear kept slid... Tue, 8 Jul 2008 14:20:50 EST Cabin on the lake http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1318307 My household spent the 4th of July weekend with some of our close theater friends (really, these people are like family for me) at a cabin on Grand Lake. I knew it was going to be a challenging weekend, food and drink wise, because all we do at get-togethers is eat and drink, drink and graze, and nosh and swill some more. Fortunately, most of the food was pretty darn healthy and I did a decent job of limiting my portions on stuff that wasn't (i.e. chips and zuchini bread). I made a Lemon-R... Mon, 7 Jul 2008 21:29:09 EST W4D3 C25K. Again. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1308571 Woot! I managed to complete the whole session as prescribed again today. After not having worked out for nearly 1.5 weeks, I was afraid that this would totally kick my ass today, but it didn't. And in an unusual turn of events, I barely even looked at the timer to see how much time I had left in each of my jogging intervals. I actually managed to get through two of the jogging intervals without looking at all! Normally, the running is kicking my butt so badly that I'm watching the time v... Wed, 2 Jul 2008 16:31:51 EST blah blah blah http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1305538 So. I haven't worked out in a week. I have been eating horribly the last few days (I ate *5* - FIVE!!!!! - friggin' slices of pizza yesterday!!!). I haven't even logged my calories for the last 4 days. And I'm so damn tired that I can't even be bothered to care. Don't get me wrong - I'm upset with myself for "backsliding" the last few days, just not enough to snap myself out of it.

I've had various reasons for not working out the past week - a couple of the days, I really an... Tue, 1 Jul 2008 11:54:49 EST Feh. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1294293 I hate it when it's my TOM.

I just feel so oogy and gross and bloated and crampy and then I don't feel like working out or anything.

Lower body/Core strength training was Monday and that went well, although I feel like a total weenie sometimes because I think I fatigue too quickly. And I'm still friggin' sore. So, I didn't work out Tuesday or today because of cramps and soreness. I am going to try my best to go to the gym tomorrow, though, because I can't go Frida... Wed, 25 Jun 2008 22:56:50 EST W4D3 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1286666 Yay! I actually managed to complete (barely!) the entire session as it was supposed to be done (and no extra recovery time)! Oh my lord, I just about died but I actually did it. I was having serious doubts partway into the 2nd 5 minute jog - especially when, 3 minutes in, I thought I only had 1 minute to go. LOL. I kept wondering "Why isn't Robert telling me that I only have 1 minute left?" And then I realized that it was because I still had TWO minutes left. But I felt a little better... Sun, 22 Jun 2008 19:47:23 EST W4D2 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1280836 OK, I'm not sure how to feel about today's C25K session. First of all, the C25K podcast I usually listen to when I'm working the program disappeared from my iPod, so I had to use a different podcast. The timing didn't quite work out right, so 4 minutes into my first jog, I remembered that it was supposed to be a *3* minute jog, so I just pushed for another minute and turned it into a 5 minute jog. Aft er that, I was just like "Screw it" and did my own program since the timing was all jacke... Thu, 19 Jun 2008 14:27:23 EST Hmph http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1275325 I think my scale might be broken. It gave me nearly a 2 lb weight differential from yesterday morning to this morning... nearly 2 lbs lighter, which can't possibly be right. Maybe yesterday morning's weight was wrong? It was storming like a mofo at the time and I seem to remember reading that stuff like barometric pressure can make weight readings inaccurate... Too bad there's not a scale at the gym. What gym doesn't even have a proper slide scale? Oh, well, I love my gym.

On ... Tue, 17 Jun 2008 09:21:04 EST Just a quickie... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1272766 So, we went to my in-laws yesterday for Father's Day lunch & swimming. I was stupid and forgot to bring a change of clothes so I waited outside forever to try to dry off... big mistake. I'm burnt as hell. The idea of having to wear a constricting sports bra (the only kind I CAN wear with these big ol' tatas) right now makes me cringe. So... no working out for a day or two, which means no Lower Body/Core small group strength training session today or W4D1 C25K tomorrow. Hopefully I can be... Mon, 16 Jun 2008 09:35:03 EST Catching up is hard to do http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1268792 I've been seriously slacking on the blog front, lately. So, here's a bit of catch-up for the week:

Monday: W3D2 C25K - went really well, increased speed slightly (from 4.6 mph on the jogs to 4.7 mph) and threw in an extra 3 minute jog at the end. Feeling pretty good about this. The slightly increased pace actually feels better to my body - I can get into a zone better, so - all good.

Tuesday: Went into the gym and talked to one of the personal trainers about setting... Fri, 13 Jun 2008 19:23:50 EST W3D1 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1254409 Kick ass! I'm shocked, absolutely SHOCKED, that I managed 2 3-minute jogs today (and even threw in an extra 2.5-minute jog before my cooldown). Again, I was definitely feeling it, but didn't feel like I was going to keel over and die. Awesome! I'm still really bad about not stretching enough afterwards and really need to work on that.

Anywho, I'm still feeling really good about this whole "healthy lifestyle" thing and am still very motivated to start looking really damn good. ... Fri, 6 Jun 2008 19:35:09 EST W2D3 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1249848 Good day today. This program is definitely helping me build endurance because there's no way I could have done this a few weeks ago. I felt so good today after I was done with my 6 jogging/walking intervals that I threw in an extra interval (2.5 minute jog) before my cooldown. And I actually remembered to stretch before and after, though I know I didn't do enough stretching. Actually, I'm kinda lost in that regard - I need to check out some more stretches. Calves weren't killing me today... Wed, 4 Jun 2008 17:56:55 EST W2D2 C25K http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1244926 Did W2D2 of the C25K today and it kicked my butt again, but I wasn't dying. I actually could've thrown in another jogging interval at the end, but didn't really think about it till it was too late, so I think I'll do that Wednesday. I also bought some new running shoes today (Saucony's) and my calves didn't hurt nearly as bad today as they did the last two times, so YAY!

I wanted to go start my strength training program during my lunch break tomorrow, but I remembered that I ha... Mon, 2 Jun 2008 17:24:27 EST The Gym http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1235273 I *finally* got around to joining the gym that is not far from my work. I've been C25K'ing at the park, but it's been raining a lot lately so that has made the humidity factor that much worse. Throw in a muddy track? Yuck. Humidity and mud. Get thee to the gym immediately!

Today was my first day C25K'ing on a treadmill and boy, lemme tell ya. Worlds of difference. I don't know if it's because I've finally built up a little more endurance or if it was the difference in enviro... Wed, 28 May 2008 21:40:09 EST Grrrr... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1224564 I just tried to post a new blog entry and the ol' internets ate it. And because I don't want to try to redo the whole thing, I'm going to short-story it:

- Did 4th day of W1 of C25K. Each week normally only has 3 days in it. That's just how out of shape I am.
- I actually managed to successfully complete the course for the second W1 day in a row (last Friday and today).
- Nearly gave up a few intervals, shin splints were killing me and I started experiencing a new ... Thu, 22 May 2008 22:46:16 EST Rough week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1222448 I'm still having a rough week, which is frustrating after making so much progress. I've eaten out a couple of times this week, which makes it difficult to know how many calories I'm consuming (so I'm sure it's well above what I logged), plus there are 2 birthday parties this weekend. I certainly haven't given up on getting healthier and losing weight and getting in shape. I'm just going to be realistic about probably not making much progress this week. And that's OK. Although I've been e... Wed, 21 May 2008 22:33:08 EST Four steps forward, 1 step back... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1217144 I don’t know what on earth my problem is. For the last 2 weeks, I’ve done really well – logging everything I eat, avoiding soda, almost completely cutting out fast food, watching my portion sizes, exercising… I haven’t even really been *craving* the bad stuff, for the most part. But ever since this past Saturday, I’ve been losing ground. I’ve started out well each day, eating a reasonable breakfast, but it just starts going downhill from there. We went to my in-laws house on Sunday for l... Mon, 19 May 2008 16:00:32 EST Re-evaluation http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1214440 Yeah, so no more "splurge days". I'm going to spend nearly all week working off what yesterday's splurge day put back on me. I think I'm going to change it to one "splurge MEAL" a week, on Saturday, but only if I even feel like splurging. Pooh. Sun, 18 May 2008 10:38:20 EST Woot! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1212934 Official weigh in today: 187.4

Woot!

When I get down to 170, I'm going to treat myself to some new workout clothes (and maybe a cute dress!). I am ecstatic to see those numbers. Can't say that I see much difference yet, but one of my good friends swears that she can tell a difference.

And another little accomplishment: I did W1D3 of the C25K yesterday and actually completed the whole thing - no walking any of the jogging intervals! Since we did W1D2 on ... Sat, 17 May 2008 09:28:37 EST A little bit better... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=1210361 So, my friend and I did W1D2 of the C25K program today and I did a little bit better than on Tuesday. I only skipped ONE (#5) of the jogging intervals instead of two (#3 & #6). It may have helped that we only did a 1 minute brisk warm up walk at the beginning instead of 5 minutes. We just moved it to the end, basically. Still did 2 miles total. I really have no idea how to log this on my Fitness tracker.

We're going to Chang's tonight for dinner - it's my husband's birthday. ... Thu, 15 May 2008 19:28:00 EST
