I guess I am not losing on my time...I am actually losing on God's time. He is in control and that's is ok with me 403 ...

Now will I make it to 213 lbs before the end of December? Mon, 19 Nov 2012 18:43:06 EST The truth... about recovering from Gastric Bypass Surgery.... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5135597 Today I am 1 month post Gastric Bypass surgery and it is a good reason to celebrate 48 .

The truth is....I am grateful I had 4 weeks to be home recovering instead of the original 2 weeks I had planned for. It takes that long and more to figure out your eating schedule, water intake, and vitamins. I am still struggling with it all.

Before surgery I was struggling to eat within a calorie range of 1000-1200 in order to not over eat and gain weight. I would always... Sun, 28 Oct 2012 19:35:02 EST Surgery update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5106982 Surgery went well. No complications. I spent 2 days in the hospital. Now I am home recovering. I have been struggling with water and my shakes however it seems as if each day I am able to consume a little more. As of now I am only able to take in 1 shake and 16oz of water. That took all day to consume yesterday so I pray today i will be able to handle a little more.

They took very good care of me at the hospital. So over all it was a positive experience.

Thanks for all t... I was happy I did 104 .

My tracker has been at 253 for like 2 months after I got my date for surgery I ate most of my favorite foods which brought my weight up to 259 (not suprised). It was amazing how easy it was to put on 6lbs. I took full responsibility for those 6lbs. I only hung on ... Tue, 16 Oct 2012 16:06:46 EST Changing WLS http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5089006 Yesterday I found out the lap band for me would not be comfortable ever due to hernia and reflux so I was asked about gastric bypass. Since I come all this way (emotional readiness, liquid diet, requesting time off from work) I made a decision on the spot and going for gastric bypass.

I compared the surgeries and as 1 sparker stated they are going inside you either way. I thought long and hard when I first heard this comment and since I heard the comment I began to re-think lap ba... I am very happy I returned the liquid calcium (yuk!) I exchanged it for Caltrate chews and it's good mmmm. I finally purchased my liquid multi-vitamins but nit yet sure what that tastes like so if anyone has another suggestions let me know.

I am totally craving salt. This afternoon I had two slices of low calorie turkey ham. I figured it was ok to get some protein in my body since I hadn't yet started taki... I had some water but as quick as I drink is as quick as I have to pee and then I am hungry again, The only good news is that it's almost 7pm and I will be in bed by 10pm, so the next three hours I get to drink another shake. Thank goodness!

I tasted the liquid calcium.....mmmmm???? Not sure if I will be able to drink that stuff daily.

I also had honey dew melon today, just a cup but I felt like I had to have some... Tue, 2 Oct 2012 18:55:45 EST Day 1 of liquids http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5082707 It wasn't so bad and no headache. I can't wait to see how i feel in the morning. Mon, 1 Oct 2012 19:17:57 EST This is the start of something great! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5080403 I am ready to do this...liquids only with a slight twist. I have watched so many videos about the lap band, I got to see how people deal with the ups and downs of having lap band. I understand the weight loss is slow and you don't necessarily lose 1 pound per week but you do lose weight and that is what I really want, to lose at a slow pace that I can manage.

Today I will eat light and tomorrow i will begin....all liquids.

I pray I don't get a headache.

Chynn... I have been reading and watching you tube videos and it looks like liquids can consist of more than just drinking shakes and flavored calorie free water. I sure do hope so. What else can I eat/drink for two weeks? Fri, 28 Sep 2012 16:59:03 EST
