I love this site and the motivation it brought me. I left last summer because it was too hard to track all of my meals. I was on an elimination diet and I was not repeating meals. I felt it would have taken too much time to input all of the recipes I was making. The diet was really good for me, though. I really worked on my self control. I had final papers and exams, then I had to move back home from college. I have gone on an elimination diet to cure my eczema and teach myself to eat more clean food. Today is the day I needed to run for 35 minutes without stopping. I knew I could do 20. I knew that, with two rest days, if there was a day this week I could do it, it would be today. I've read that eczema can frequently be caused by undiagnosed food sensitivities, so the time has come for me to investigate that. As I mentioned in my last post, my goal for the next 5 weeks is to be able to run a 5k straight through. Wed, 13 Feb 2013 11:15:36 EST 5k Training: Week 5, Day 1 WooHoo! I made it to week 5! Today went well. I little difficult, but I got to the end with no problem. Repeating week 4 really helped. And since I am not worried about making it through at my normal pace, this week I am going to work on preparing myself for week 6, when I will only have one week to recover. I plan to increase my walking speed on Thursday to do this. If that goes well, I may increase my running speed on Saturday, but we'll just play it by ear. I ate my 3 meals (usually large ones) a day when I was suppose to and snacked when I was craving. Starting to track my food made me very aware of what I am eating. I've learned I am pretty good at self-regulating my calories, but I only have enough calories to eat dessert if I've worked out.
