That means dropping the amount of calories I think I am going to be burning weekly to be a bit more realistic. My calorie burn used to exceed my goals but then the summer weather hit and getting outside was much harder for me. I have reduced my goals and will start increasing them gradually again. Well....I'm back on track with my workouts BUT I refuse to track my food and I refuse to weigh myself. So I said it! I also found that spark only gives you credit for doing 120 minutes of exercise a day :( I walked 3.5 miles alone and then another 4 miles with my husband. I tracked my monthly steps in the 10,000 step group and I logged 477,032 for the month! WOW! That averages 15,388 steps a day, which I am very happy with. I logged 94.54 miles walking, averaging a little over 3 miles a day -not bad for a girl who started out walking a half mile around the block 90 days ago today! It has started to get much warmer on my walks and it was getting very irritating to carry my phone with me so I invested in the Nike+ Sportwatch. I love it! My cholesterol has been high for 28 years that I know of and the doctor wants me to follow a plant based diet and eat as much fiber as possible to get it down because I will not take anything for it. She also told me that my resting heart rate is very high and doesn't want me to do anything intense until I get that down to under 60 at rest. She has given me 4 months to do this and I am u... Sat, 12 May 2012 19:45:32 EST Day off winds up scary! So, I decided to take Monday off from exercise because my body really was telling me it needed it. I'm learning slowly to listen to my body. I spent the day doing whatever I could to get steps in around the house and I wound up with 9354 for the day. I was shooting for 10,000 but still pretty happy with my number. I also can't believe how addicted I have become to exercise after just over two months (FANTASTIC!). I didn't take any days off last week and I know that my body needs time to rest. I got up this morning to a dreary midwest day and decided that wasn't going to stop me from walking. I put on my raincoat and off I went!
