Wed, 1 Jun 2016 00:03:14 EST Accountability http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6171481 Well, I'm back to doing a challenge again. I seem to do better when I do challenges where I'm held accountable for my actions. :) Working on getting diet under control. Hubby has problems with whole grains so that throws a wrench in things. I think he might be either a celiac or have some form of IBS. I served something with whole grains last week and he was up half the night with diarrhea. So need to look for healthy alternatives. Makes it difficult when cooking. Just need to look fo... Reading nutrition labels, ingredients, cost variances, how to modify (ex if you have canned veggies instead of buying full salt you can buy the no salt or buy the full salt and rinse them after taking it out of the can which gets rid of 40% of the salt). Thu, 5 May 2016 13:12:01 EST Cooking Class! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6151537 Tonight is my son and I's cooking class. The school is doing a 7 week healthy cooking class for families. If you attend all the sessions then you get a kitchen knife plus the recipe book. They teach the kids healthy eating and how to chop, slice, etc veggies and fruits. We make a main entree and side every Wednesday. So far it has been a hit. Wed, 27 Apr 2016 14:52:43 EST Dinner Solution http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6150773 I have the problem of getting home and making dinner on time before hubby goes to bed. He gets aggravated if the dinner plan takes too long to make so instead of eating out nightly, I've decided he can cook. He gets home at 1p so he has plenty of time to get dinner on the table. hehe I'm going to set out the week's dinner plan and see how it goes. Recipes included. LOL Tue, 26 Apr 2016 13:21:00 EST ZZZZZZZZZZZ http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6150105 I'm dragging today. I need to work on getting to bed on time. I have a bad habit of once my son goes to bed of staying up later to relax. So I end up going to bed around 11:30p/12a. Last night I pushed myself to go to bed at 10:30p but I still ended up there at 11p. Maybe I should set a goal of 10p and see how that goes. I work all day, come home, make dinner, nag my son about his homework, clean up the house, send him to bed and then stay up too late so I can relax. Ideally, I'd like ... Mon, 25 Apr 2016 15:44:45 EST Fitness classes http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=6148108 Well lately I've been going at 12:30p to workout with my boss but I've realized that I stick to workouts better if I go at 11:45a to a class at noon. I need the accountability that classes provide. Plus I enjoy the music and the classes are all different so I'm not doing the same thing every time like I do when I go at 12:30p. So, I need to adjust my schedule and reacclimate myself to going at that time. I have it set on my calendar to remind myself I just need to NOT answer the phone whe... I did 60 min most days and got 5 veggies a day in. My partner walks 2 hours a day so that wasn't a problem for her and she got the 7+ veggies in. That's a tough one. I hate public speaking but, I don't do much of it. Just in cub scouts. I need to find my voice. I suppose I'll work on that. Also, I am terrified of roller skating.
