In front of him was a jar of 10 cent coins, with a sign saying correct guess wins you the jar!!!
After about 10 beers he told the barman he was on his way home and the barman said seeing he was such a good customer he could have a free guess at the jar. The man had been thinking about an amount all night and replied with 206 dollar... Tue, 30 Nov 2010 15:32:03 EST Busy Birthday Week Well it has been a very busy week I was running our 3 day National Sales Conference but luckily it was here in Sydney so I got to go home very night. I got up really early and exercised everyday and even resisted the portugese custard tarts they served on day 2 for morning teas(my favourites). However, then my birthday came on Thursday and 2 dinners with different groups of friends. not a good weekend for exercise although I did do some gardening in 32 degree heat. The good news I didn't put ... Sun, 14 Nov 2010 15:59:36 EST Day 2 Week 4 C25K I have been working nearly all day getting ready for out National Sales Meeting starting tomorrow for the next 3 days so I didn't make it to the gym before it closed. So at Dusk I went out to run. It was hard as I live in a very hilly area and I thought I was going to die in the beginning but it got easier and I completed the whole program. So I am feeling pretty proud of myself and nearly all my presentations are ready and I got all the washing dried and folded so everyone will have clothes ... Sun, 7 Nov 2010 04:40:36 EST Weigh In it is my weigh in day and I have lost 700g I am very happy with that 250 Fri, 5 Nov 2010 16:20:32 EST Great Weights Workout I was held up and work and wasn't sure if I could fit in the gym and cook dinner at a reasonable hour for everyone. I decided to go and see quickly I could do my weights and some cardio before I needed to be home. It all worked well with my partner doing some preparation for dinner peeling etc. (We wouldn't want him cooking as we wouldn't want to burden the health system with 5 cases of food poisoning . 246 ) and I had a great workout and increased nearly all my weights I hope i can ... Thu, 4 Nov 2010 05:42:20 EST Running I haven't been a runner since I was in my early 20s and now I have successfully started week4 of the C25K! I am going to enter a local fun run in January. 104 Tue, 2 Nov 2010 20:52:58 EST trying to keep off the scales I have a daily battle not to weigh myself. Last week I was really good and only weighed myself on Saturday my weigh in day. Today I hopped on and the news was good and I have lost more weight but I should stop myself as due to fluid etc there are daily fluctuations and unfortunately they are not always down! 246 Hopefully I will have the strength to keep off the scales for the rest of the week 43 Mon, 1 Nov 2010 23:29:40 EST New Month In the month of November I am determined to be the healthiest I can be. I am not travelling much so it will be gym 6 times per week and squeezing in exercise where ever I can, also tracking all my food. I am auditioning for a choir on 16th of November so I am really looking forward to starting that as well. November is going to be great! 224 Sun, 31 Oct 2010 17:48:37 EST Making Some Progress Today was weigh in day and I have lost 300g and 2 cm off my waist. I have been at a trade show most of the week in Perth and they are very tough as they throw very tempting food at you all day and I only indulged once but I had done my C25K training that morning and burned 400 calories so I was fine. Finally moving in the right direction Fri, 29 Oct 2010 17:25:13 EST Oh Dear Thank goodness it is the start of the 6 week weight loss challenge as I have somehow put on 300g this week. I have been sick with the flu for most of the week but did some serious workouts the first 2 days before I got sick and have been within or below my calorie range as some days I was just too sick.

The good news is that this time I am really serious about losing weight and getting to well within my healthy weight range as this hasn't discouraged me at all. It just means there... Fri, 15 Oct 2010 20:38:24 EST The flu has got me after staying healthy all winter I have been struck with a terrible case of the flu in particular a cough that won't let up. My partner has moved to the fold out bed downstairs because I was keeping the poor thing awake at night. It is funny I am so motivated this time to keep up my spark program the thing that is annoying me most about being sick is that I can't go to the gym which I was really enjoying.

Hopefully I will get better quickly so I can get back on track. Tue, 12 Oct 2010 18:23:42 EST Keeping Strong I have been back with Sparkpeople for 3 weeks now. 2 weeks ago we transferred my partners gym membership to me and I have only missed one day in that time. I am trying to stay strong becuase I have stayed within my calorie range everyday and burned at least 300 calories every day and doing strenghth training 3 times per wee but I have lost nothing and my clothes don't feel any different. I am now trying to cut carbs and see if that makes a difference. i know I may have put on muscle but then ... Thu, 7 Oct 2010 22:33:49 EST End of the week it is finally coming to the end of a very busy week. I have still managed to walk and eat well so I am very very happy Thu, 29 Apr 2010 18:15:38 EST Stress at Work I ma struggling this week and it is only Tuesday morning. I have had to let someone go and so now their work falls to me and I already had no time. this meant I had to catch up on a lot of things on the weekend and of all times I have a lot of evening functions one a week all this month. I am sticking to my eating plan but have no time for exercise. I am sure stress never helps with weigh loss Mon, 19 Apr 2010 16:51:44 EST Work is out of control I am so busy at work that yesterday I had trouble making time in the morning to go to the toilet! I had to get something to eat out of a vending machine as I raced past at one of the hospitals I was visiting. They had an interesting coding system of green, yellow and red stickers. Green being good foods with dried fruit and high in fibre but low in added sugar. Yellow meaning some healthy content but higher in fat and sugar and foods you should only indulge in occasionally like chips and choc... Fri, 16 Apr 2010 19:10:34 EST Dinner Function for Work Well I often find when I have to eat out for work with clients that things go wrong. Last night they didn't. I saved some calories through the day still eating a healthy breakfast and lunch. At dinner I had one glass of wine and ate some of each course. When I estimated my calories I was well on track for the day. This has been a big breakthrough and just another way I am learning to live a spark life. Tue, 13 Apr 2010 17:39:02 EST April Looking Like a Good Month April so far is going great. Fri, 9 Apr 2010 21:39:29 EST Back at Work Work is an absolute nightmare at the moment there are so many challenges but I have kept to my eating plan for 2 of the most stressful days I've experienced in this job so I am very pleased with myself. Exercise now not so good but have managed at least 30 minutes so still pretty good! Thu, 8 Apr 2010 21:10:49 EST Easter Show Had a great day at the Easter Show with all the family. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we walked for hours. we were out for 12 hours and the kids were all falling asleep on the bus. Tue, 6 Apr 2010 19:16:55 EST Sunday Out With Family Well I had a lovely walk on the beach and ate a very ehalthy squid salad for lunch so lived normally but kept up my nutrition and part of my exercise goals. So far April is looking good! Sun, 4 Apr 2010 18:18:59 EST Feeling Great and Smaller Well after several days of exercising my clothes definitely fell smaller so this is good incentive to keep it up. Me, my partner and our 3 children are going to Luna Park ( a fun park in Sydney) so all that walking and screaming should be a great workout 246 244 Fri, 2 Apr 2010 17:18:20 EST Two days in to April So far have 150 minutes so I have made a good start. I will do some exercise everyday and just think healthy, healthy, healthy Wed, 31 Mar 2010 20:09:20 EST Great week on track Well this week has been a good one. One of those miracle weeks where everything seemed to be in balance. I shopped for and cooked nutritious, healthy meals for the family, helped my sone with all aspects of fitting into his first year of high school, delivered what was required at work and put time into my relationship with my partner. All the time keeping my eye on what I hate and how much I moved! Let's see what the next day/week brings! Sat, 6 Feb 2010 19:04:34 EST Need to do more exercise I have been so busy at work doing 12 hour days which doesn't leave anytime for exercise. This week won't be good as I am travelling to Melbourne for work. I have been very disciplined with what I eat and concentrating on eating lots of vegetables and lean protein. I have lost more weight and am now at 67.7Kg and my waist is getting smaller too! I can't wait for my birthday and to reach my goal. Sun, 11 Oct 2009 17:03:31 EST I was dreading the long weekend I was dreading the long weekend because I have lots of social functions that involve eating and the weather has been lousy so my outdoor excercise is limited. I don't know why I was worrying as I have just made some good choices and when there were not any just limited the portion size. I have also discovered a great drink. At Coles they sell Bickfords lime cordial (the brand they use in bars) in a diet version and I mix it with soda water and ice cubes it is great and very light on calories.... Sun, 4 Oct 2009 16:28:39 EST This really works Well beginning of week 2 and I have lost 0.5 Kg to 69.1. I have consistently exercised and tracked what I have eaten. A little bit of everything is my philosophy so you don't feel like you are missing out. This is a great start and will motivate me to keep going. I have already been for my very brisk 40 minute walk so the week is starting well. Bring on my birthday the new fitter, healthier and slimmer me! Sun, 27 Sep 2009 17:27:47 EST I have taken 10 steps backward Well I was doing so well earlier this year and was a Sparkpeople devotee. However life got in the way and I fell off the wagon. I am back on as of today and have set a goal of my birthday 11 November to reach my goal weight. I got so close 66.5 in July so I know I can do it I just have to put my mind to it and use all the tools and community support on Sparkpeople. Wish me luck. i will check in next week. I am starting at 69.6. Sun, 20 Sep 2009 17:03:40 EST
