I am not talented enough to photoshop anything let alone this kind of work. God on the other hand had no trouble doing it. Tue, 9 Aug 2011 00:33:32 EST Oil rigs Port Fourchon and some of the other stuff I see I love sunsets so that's what a lot of my pictures are. Tue, 12 Jul 2011 00:23:51 EST another day at the office
this is what I get to look at most days at work. I was lucky this day. We were heading east as the sun was setting, not driving straight into it for three hours

The colors where there are no other lights to mess with them are amazing <img src=" Sat, 2 Jul 2011 01:21:26 EST Kids today When I look at my children and many others I get a disturbing view. I am afraid in our quest to give our children more than what we had we have created monsters. They are the entitlement generation. They want what they want now and with no strings attached. No personal responsibility either. I have witnessed first hand what happens when "I" becomes more important than anything else and it is scarey. The poor poor pitiful me nobody has ever had it as rough as I do mentality is rampant throug... Mon, 16 May 2011 00:34:41 EST Psalm 19 and related pictures from the boat 1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like ... Sun, 30 Jan 2011 16:31:48 EST New Year New Goal Last year my goal was to quit smoking. My last cigarette was Dec 31 2009. I, with God's help did this without gaining more than a few pounds. My goal this year is going to take alot more work. I want to loose a pound a week. Working offshore this will be a true challenge since healthy fresh foods are not always available but there are always potato chips and Ice cream handy.There is only so much room and time for exercise. You can't jog on a boat in 8 ft seas. It just won't work. MY quest is... Mon, 3 Jan 2011 23:48:18 EST Milestones Today was memorable in several ways. First and most importantly I was deemed FIT FOR DUTY!! 4 months 5 procedures countless miles and way to many office/clinic visits later I am ready to go back to work. My job was held through today thanks to that federal family leave thing. See why I was getting worried. With the president messing with the drilling in the gulf and my job relying on drilling in the gulf this was not looking good. Thank God I made it back under the wire.
The other and e... Sat, 19 Jun 2010 22:22:14 EST How Many 8oz glasses in an IV Bag another adventure at Tulane behind us. It was miserable there and we later found out why. The nice people we shared a room with FROZE while we sweated all night. We figured that out as we were leaving. next time we know, we want a window seat not aisle seat.
What a blessing to come home this time with no tubes hanging out of me. I want to thank all of those who have been praying for me. It obviously worked. I might get away without another procedure and be able to go back to work. God i... Thu, 10 Jun 2010 21:28:09 EST One for the Department of Redundancy Department Any of you familiar with the DRD. I just spent four hours filling out forms required by my long term disability insurance company, a sister company of the short term disability insurance company, that already has EVERY piece of information I just filled out with the exception of my job history for the lat 15 years. How much time is wasted duplicating redundancy. I just pray that they now have all the information they need and don't make us jump through more hoops. Fri, 28 May 2010 16:22:29 EST T o Get where you want to be you first have to leave where you are. First the bricks, then straw, then more bricks. Then they listened to Moses, or more exactly God. I know where the Red Sea is and I am watching the waters part. Seems the old me still wants to go back to Egypt when I see the Promised Land. It's time for me to start taking steps every day. Today I finished a honey do that has been around for a while. another one is almost done. Lots more to start. I know how to make book shelfs, really i do.

<... Sat, 22 May 2010 21:57:34 EST Making the best Sometimes we get into situations where there is not one good solution. Every choice available will offend someone. Compromises aren't always an option. All we can do is ask God for help and pray. My daughter is here visiting now. She isn't going to move in here yet. This DOES NOT mean that I approve of what she did. I do however love my daughter and want to see her move ahead in life and take responsibility for what she did. She will not be able to do that in the situation she is in now.
... Thu, 20 May 2010 19:17:05 EST Patience tempers and attitudes With my extended vacation many things have been a challenge. The Insurance company has been on the top of that list. Their job is to keep their money. I understand that. After explaining the same thing to the same person, today was the fourth time, my patience was worn. All she ever wants to tell me is "your claim is under review" . Yatmama saw me ready to loose it and offered to save me. I know I was wrong. That didn't matter. Good news is my claim was approved even with my help. Now we get... Mon, 17 May 2010 20:07:37 EST when all else fails Being home three months has been a strain on many things. Normally out of six weeks I am at work four of them. It has been that way five and a half years since I went to work offshore. The money helped and the Solitude it afforded me kept me sane. Now all the annoying little habits that I have are showing up. Many times it seems the harder I try to keep things calm and orderly the more chaos we end up with. If all else fails IT'S TIME TO GO FISHING Fri, 14 May 2010 14:47:48 EST Chugging along New idea: every day try and accomplish something extra that will make my life and the life of those around me better. This might sound like common sense. Once I started this I noticed something. It works and little by little the changes become part of daily routine. Then there are the "I'm lazy" do nothing days. After one of those it takes two days to catch up. Easier to just keep chugging along. Slow and steady wins the race. Mon, 10 May 2010 20:20:18 EST What a change Today is turning into a real challenge. it was eight years ago today, the day before mothers day, that my Ex split leaving me with two kids. Turned out to be the best thing that could have happened but that didn't make it any easier. It's a tough anniversary every year. My son, now 17 still does not understand. My Daughter might never understand. As long as we keep moving forward it will all work out. God takes care of his children, even when they don't have the sense to take care of themselv... Sat, 8 May 2010 17:26:49 EST Starting over again for the first time. Oh how easy it is to relax. We know what has and has not worked. Why do I insist on going back to what I KNOW does NOT work. This time i'm tracking my foods which will work till I get back on the Boat. Old habit die hard and I am an Old diehard. I quit smoking and I know I can tame this monster also. Wed, 5 May 2010 15:47:20 EST what a long strange trip it's been...and is I would like to start off by thanking all our friends for the support and prayers for yatmama and I over the last few

weeks.The last three weeks have been quite a ride. My grandson is well on the mend. The little guy is more like himself

every day. My daughter needs prayer. We will find out more about her situation today.
Today I was at the DR. and have another week before I am released to go back to work. God knew i needed this time at

home.Things are...
