CANOEMAN1's SparkPeople Blog CANOEMAN1's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Week 5 So week 5 was an interesting one. I am not down any weight at all, but I am still feeling better over all. I just finished week 5 of the C2 5K program, with a 20 minute run. That is the most that I have run in a very very long time. My dog, a black lab was itching her ears excessively to the point it was red and irritated. A trip to the vet to determine that it is an ear infection likely caused by an allergic reaction. She was also experiencing itchy skin. It seems that the allergen may... Sun, 10 Feb 2013 20:01:33 EST Week 4 Over and Out! Another successful week. I am feeling great and am down 10 pounds in 4 weeks. That is better than I had anticipated, I am sure that this rate of loss will not continue and I will plateau shortly. I seem to have established a routine and am getting used to counting my portions and food again. Here is hoping that the success continues.
I wrote about my 101 in 1001 day project in my first entry of the year. The blog associated with that project is now up and running. You can find it here... Sat, 2 Feb 2013 14:07:41 EST End of Week 3 Here we are at the end of week 3. It has been a really good week. I have 1 more day in week 3 of the C 2 5k program that I am doing, and it is going very well. I managed to exercise all 6 days that I had planned, and was able to eat within my range.
I am noticing that I am feeling better, sleeping better too.
The next week should be just like this past one, I don't have any evening meetings, which generally interfere with my ability to exercise as they are usually a 3 hr roun... Sat, 26 Jan 2013 06:55:55 EST End of Week 2 & Beginning of Week 3 This week I was able to fit in time on the treadmill everyday except my 1 day off. Even on the day off though, I still managed to eat reasonably well. I didn't really lose any weight, down .6 of a pound. I am still feeling better and I noticed that my sleep patterns improve when I exercise.
In my first post of the New Year "So Here I Go Again" I mentioned the beginning of a new 'project' for me. The 101 in 1001 days. I have 60 items on my list and continue to add to it. My zero day... Sun, 20 Jan 2013 07:25:38 EST End of Week 1 What a week!
This week I was able to stick to it. I walked on the treadmill everyday except Thursday. It is showing. It is amazing how the body adapts quickly. I have lost about 3.5 pounds this week, simply by getting back into the routine. The weight isn't the only benefit I have noticed this week. I have noticed that I have been in a better mood overall.
This week wasn't without it's challenges. In Ontario, the government has imposed a contract on it's public elementary a... Sat, 12 Jan 2013 07:43:31 EST So... Here We Go Yet Again So after a very tough fall, I am back here and ready to go yet again. When I started my 40 in 40 last fall, I was at 225, I am still down from that weight but, no where near where I wanted to be at this time and only down a few pounds. A few things I am putting in to place now to try and make this happen are: I am starting the 101 things to do in 1001 days project and losing between 40-50 pounds is goal number 1 to be completed within the first 400 days and then keeping it off for the nex... Sun, 6 Jan 2013 08:20:30 EST End of Week 2 So this is the last day of week 2 in my 40 in 40 challenge. So far I have lost 10 pounds, I figure this is just my body adjusting to the new regime and the weight loss will plateau soon. But it is still nice to see loss right away. This week was a challenge as I had a few evening meetings. The evenings are generally when I decide to do my treadmill work. So twice this week I was up and on the treadmill before going to work. Hopefully I can keep that up on the days when I have a meeting ... Fri, 14 Sep 2012 06:24:25 EST 1 Down 39 to go! Just completed my first week back to school and the first week of my 40 pounds in 40 weeks challenge. I feel great. I exercised every evening, and tracked my food. In just doing that and staying within my limits I dropped 7 pounds already. I know I still have a long way to go, but it is a great feeling of success. The challenge will be to stay motivated and to follow my exercise and food routine when I have meetings in the evenings. My plan is to exercise in the mornings on the days whe... Sat, 8 Sep 2012 06:26:01 EST I Gotta Get Serious!!! So after having a successful weight loss of just over 30 pounds, I lost focus and drive and fell hard putting almost 40lbs back on. This is the beginning of a new school year for me and it is time for me to make a clean, fresh start on my road to getting healthy. Luckily those people around me have the same drive and I find inspiration and support in them. There are 40 official weeks(holidays not included) of school so my new plan is called '40 in 40',. My goal is to lose 40 pounds in 40 ... Mon, 3 Sep 2012 12:38:14 EST
