The newness of my new eating and exercise plan are wearing off. I have lost 17 pounds and want to stay focused on my goal to reach 115 and keep it off. Keeping it off is the hard part for me. College starts soon and that is when things usually fly out the window and I return to my old habits. Just doesn't seem to be time to workout then. I wish I had started my weight loss journey earlier in the summer. However, better late than never. I want to look and feel better by the time college classes start back up on Sept. 4th. That is when the stress really sets in. I put a lot of pressure on myself to get straight A's. All I do is go to school, homework, work, and housework. There is no "down time". Walked up to the gym and worked out for an hour. Making my teens dinner right now. Trying not to do emotional eating. Hard to deal with the fact that my ex husband is dying of cancer. Lung tumors have tripled in size since Father's Day. Dr. stopped all treatments and told him to contact Hospice. So, I guess he doesn't have long. Mon, 8 Jul 2013 21:13:31 EST Friday Today was pretty good. Was only stressed for a short time at work. Got over the incident and moved on! Walked home after work. So, got 40 minutes of walking in for the day !! Tired now and getting ready to get some sleep. I am such a nite owl. Always seems like a good idea, until the alarm goes off in the morning! Sat, 6 Jul 2013 00:57:30 EST Stress Free Day !! This hardly ever happens BUT I had a stress free day ! Thank you God !! Went to the gym this morning. Then my fiancé, son, & I drove to Ocean City . Teenage daughter had to work but we did stop by and see her at the mall where she works. Then we had a BBQ and then went to watch fireworks near the University. It was so good to relax and actually have time with my family. I am so thankful for today !!! My stress levels were pretty low except for trying to have a conversation with my adult daughter. That didn't go so well. Wed, 3 Jul 2013 20:38:01 EST Stress I need to track my stress levels and my stressors this week as part of the challenge I am doing. I am stressed today because I am tired and am feeling guilty because I did not get to the gym. I have it in my mind that I have to go to the gym or walk 40 minutes everyday. I know it's ok to take a day off, but for some reason I feel guilty if I do. I am going to try and stick to my food plan tonite and enjoy the time at home cleaning. I am doing a good job of going to the gym and staying on my food plan. I really do not miss the junk food that much. I am so happy that I got back on this site last night ! I was getting very discouraged that the weight has not been comming off as quickly as it usually does.
