It's a 3km easy run with other participants from all of the weekend races. It's a chance to meet other runners, meet the Pace Bunnies, loosen up the muscles & shake off the nerves. It was a nice run & I felt good. Not only was I still tired, I was sore from yesterdays work (I stripped, sanded & painted part of my deck for 3 hours). It starts as a light rain, then within minutes, changes to thunder lightening or hail/ice pellets. Thankfully the storms are in the afternoon/evening so I'm able to run in the morning & it hasn't interferred with my HM training. Sure enough there was a 10k on Canada Day. Perfect!! I'm training for a HM & my LSD was suppose to be a 11k..so a 10k race will work. Plus I've always wanted to check this small town out. While chatting on the phone with the lady, I was told the 10k was new to the 28th annual event. When I asked about the course, I was told there was 400 runners all together & the 10k had a short steep hill followed by a gradual incline, turn aro...
