I took a few runcations & had a blast at all of them. I decided to run all my races for fun except for 1 (I'll be doing the same this year). The one I decided to race hard was the same race I ran my 1st half at. I was 1min & 20 secs off a PR. I fell apart at km 18. I did the best I could so I'm not upset. I walked super slow & had to push myself to 20 minutes, then I had to stop. My lungs were burning. Thursday morning I did 5 easy minutes of snow shovelling & it took me 20 minutes to catch a full breath. Turns out I have Bronchitis. U... I like that I can just run. I don't have to worry about traffic, wildlife, ice, snow & routes to fill my kms. I'm not a fan of dreadmills, as I'd much rather be outside. I don't mind running in the cold, but the roads are so horrible this year. I've been trying to convince my self it's great ST. I'll be honest...what sold me on the race was 3 things: <BR> <BR> 1st - The weather was calling for sun until Sunday (race day was Saturday). It's a 2-2.5hrs drive (or longer depending on how lost I get) & I will not drive that far once the snow hits.
