Tue, 12 Feb 2013 01:54:52 EST Goals for the New Year http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5198120 A new year, a new start!

I've never really been good at goal setting. But hey, I'm 32, time to put my big girl panties on and set some goals for myself. I read this blog last year about goal setting, but I never got around to it, but this is the year! Check out this blog:
moneysavingmom.com/2012/01/my-goals-
for-2012.html

Here's just a few of my goals for this year. Some are long term and some are short term. Wed, 9 Jan 2013 03:35:51 EST Needing to Vent http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5182674 Aaaaaarrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ugh. Really, I mean really? Well, i guess one good thing about being stuck in a house (that's not yours) with no food is that you can't go on an emotional eating rampage. Believe you me, if there was chocolate in this house, it would now be in my mouth. So, I'm deciding to write instead of punching someone in the face. Mainly cause the only people in here are kids, and well, they didn't do anything wrong.

Ugh, so frustrated.

... Mon, 31 Dec 2012 18:49:47 EST Staying STRONG during the break http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5151769 For the STRONG challenge we are to write a plan of attack for staying strong during the holiday break.

Exercise plan: Workout at the Y! Yes, we're getting our passes this coming week. I'm super excited to be working out in a gym again. While it is more affordable than a regular gym membership, it is still quite a bit of money~ I want to make it worth it! Plus, how can you go wrong with free child care!?

Eating plan: 1. don't refill the chocolate stash. Yeah, I have... Fri, 30 Nov 2012 14:49:49 EST Changing the Meaning of my "Me Time" http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5115780 I recently read a blog that completely rocked my world. Rocked it to the core. It gave me an entirely new perspective. It spoke truth to me, truth that I've never heard before, but desperately needed to hear.

It was about 'me time' Sounds simple enough. We've all heard that 'me time' is great and wonderful. Ever mother should get me time, to calm and recharge. Who can give more to other is there's nothing to give? Right?

Yes, but there's difference.

It... But you gotta start somewhere right?

Starting point: 160 lbs
Goal for the 12 weeks: 150 lbs

My plan:
1) Eat Clean- real food. Plenty of veggies, and fruits. Whole grains. (less grains) Cut out the processed junk. I'm hoping for an 80/20 split between real/fake

2) Drink more water! Water, water, water! I've already greatly reduced my soda in... To beat last rounds result and lose at least 5 lbs. (my goal is 10)

One thing that I will do more of this round is to be honest. With myself, and with my group. Sometimes I will need help. Emotional, spiritual, or whatever. It's OKAY to ask for help and support! ... Mon, 10 Sep 2012 00:04:44 EST My Time With BLC 19 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4968756 The Biggest Loser Challenge 19

I had high aspirations. I was ready to lose this extra weight. I wanted to eat healthy. I had dreams. I had visions.

Then... life got in the way. It sure has a way of doing that.

Turns out that eating 'real' and whole foods is harder that it sounds. Turns out Twinkies are NOT whole food!

I had planned to take the challenge of eating real food for 100 days by following this blog:
www.100daysofrealfood.com/... Fri, 13 Jul 2012 13:17:17 EST I Fell Off The Wagon, and Hit My Head on the Way Down! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4934160 So, I was on this wagon, having a great ride, headed towards weight loss. Then, all the sudden out of nowhere I hit a bump. I broke my foot during the collision, but I kept on riding. This wagon sure is moving slow with this broken foot. bummer. Then these hooligan kids start attacking me with whining and nagging. I love them, but they drive me crazy sometimes. This wagon ride sure is bumpy! it's giving me a headache. This ride is taking me through a field of flowers and my allergies... Wed, 20 Jun 2012 04:00:24 EST 100 Days of Real Food- Week 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4868945 Real food.... it sounds easy right? Well, in some ways it is... and in some ways it's not. Adding fruits and veggies is easy. Going out to eat with the rest of the family... not so easy. Eating at Burger King.... impossible! Yeah, they don't serve real food. We actually asked the cashier what the difference is between their chicken nuggets and their chicken strips. "The nuggets are processed and the strips are more like real chicken." WOW!

This week I'm deviating away from ... Sun, 6 May 2012 13:47:54 EST 100 days of real food- week 1 wrap up. And BLC challenge. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4856923 Well, I'm wrapping up week 1 of my 100 Days of Real Food. This week I've made sure to have two servings of fruits or veggies with every meal. It was great! I found that by eating my veggies first it helped fill me up and I depended less on my carbohydrates to fill me. By eating fruit at the end of the meal it almost feels like I'm eating dessert. Helpful to fight against that need for something sweet at the end of a meal.

For week 2 I will be only drinking 'real drinks'. That... Sat, 28 Apr 2012 23:24:34 EST Day 1: 100 Days of Real Food http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4847109 I've decided to mix up my nutritional diet. With all this buzz in the news lately about 'pink slime' and strange additives like ground up beetles and beaver anal gland juice, I think I'm done with processed foods!

I found this great blog,
this gal did 100 days of eating nothing that was highly processed. Basically eat whole foods, organic, and meats that are free range, grass fed, organic and such. If it's something packaged is mustn't... Sun, 22 Apr 2012 20:47:10 EST
