But, my BUGSMIMI account is no longer a favorable place for me. Feels more like a heavy wet blanket. So, I started a new account tonight, and it is well after midnight. I even posted on my last blog from my new account. 41 I am still going to shut this account down, and join the straw bale team again. Not even as a social website. I've been here almost 7 years, and so many of you have helped me get to where I am today. I thank you for that. Several of you have been there for me, to help me get through the last year. I Love you for that. But, looking back on all of my blogs, my posts, and my whatevers that I say, it is all about what has happened in the last year. There isn't much in the way of being a team player on my part. This morning, DH asked me to take him outside and help him get a walk in. That made my heart smile. He was tired when we started, because he did a 3 minutes stand at the kitchen sink this morning. So when he went outside, his legs were already spent. But, for all the bellyaching he did, he did ok. lol. He got halfway down to the road, and he sat down. (I'm pushing his wheelchair behind him.) He said he was done. I told him to just go to the road. He said I was bein... Wed, 9 Oct 2013 13:34:32 EST Been over a week since I last blogged.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5508255 Well, not worrying about DH threw me a fast ball. I got into the mindset that I won't worry. Well, the EMTs were here 2 times since my last blog, and one visit with them took DH to the ER for a 6 hour visit. He's been falling again. Seems his sugar was elevated again. Severely, to the point where he couldn't walk, even with the walker. It just kept him upright, and not going anywhere. It took 2 guys to get him in the car to come home, and I looked the doc square in the eyes, and asked what I'... It took about an hour for the pill to kick in, but I slept well. Till 2am this morning. I had to go potty, so I went. When I came out of the bathroom, DH was on the other side of the door, waiting to use the room. We passed each other, and I went to lay down till he finished, and I could help him back into the bedroom. (It is easier to come out than go in, in a wheelchair) I fell back to sleep. He had his walker, and instead... Mon, 30 Sep 2013 20:00:21 EST You Know, I Was Thinking.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5499631 I think tonight I am going to take a sleep aid. I have some Tylenol PM. I will take one. It won't take much to knock me out. And I could sandwich my ears between 2 pillows, so I won't listen to see if DH is breathing. Just to see what happens, and to prove to myself that my worries are just that, worries.

I got a touching sparkmail message from a friend today. I wake up during the night, like something woke me up, and listen to see if DH is still breathing. Not sure what is waking me up, though. Is his breathing changing? Did he snore? Is he so relaxed that his breathing is quiet? Was it a car going by? I don't know. But, I lay still and listen. I even hold my breath, so I do not miss his. I hear it, and say "Thank you." I've been doing this every night since he came home from the nursing home/rehab in Ap... Don't get me wrong, I am grateful in how well he has been doing, and I am really proud of him. He is finally getting his appetite back, and is getting stronger all the time. How I would love for him to not be so dependent on me. And, he would like that, too. There are some things he still can not do, like walk unassisted like he did before he got ill in March. He is tired of staying... Fri, 27 Sep 2013 18:44:01 EST Finally, a low key day.. I haven't finished waterproofing the deck, but it is just the sides that need to be done. We had rain yesterday, so, that project is on hold for a few more. I have a load of laundry going, but that doesn't count towards not having a lazy day. GS was here this past weekend. Now the house is a bit too quiet. We had a great weekend with him. I helped DH with his shower this morning, and it sort of soothed his mood. I'm thinking as the 30th approaches, he will get more ... They looked so bare after they were empty. Today, I grabbed the wheelbarrow and a pitchfork, and removed the bales. My lawn looks so bare. lol. But, we had a good Summer experimenting with them. Next year, I will not get 5 bales, like I did this year, but I will get 10! I've learned so much this year. DH too. We were at GS's football game, and DS wasn't working so he went to watch for a while. GS waved, but didn't get a chance to talk to his Dad, because DS left before the game was over. He was a bit irritated with the noise. I was a bit irritated that he was so irritated. And I get to a certain point in the blog, and I delete the whole thing. Not sure if it is because it is of little interest, or because I haven't figured my problems out, and I have this need to make things appear that everything is ok. I think it is the latter, because I almost deleted what I've just typed out. I'm not going to do that. Not this time. I've been really blue lately, and I keep telling everyone I am ok. I don't do them anymore, and she is working on losing weight, 345 , and we did a dvd swap. Some are just to spunky for me. Thu, 9 May 2013 06:35:53 EST I'm itchy, itchy, itchy... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5349010 Had I retained all the information in the book I bought for the straw bale garden, I would have remembered that the bales go in a north to south formation. I had to move them this afternoon. They were heading west. lol. I should have worn long pants before moving them. Got some nice scratches and rashes on my lower leg, between my calves and ankles. Itchy, itchy, itch. I put Neosporin on them, but it just makes me feel like my legs are sweaty, and itchy. lol. Ugh. My grandson offered to help... When I typed it out, the word "back" got typed out as "bacon". lol.

I decided yesterday that it is time to get back on track. Things aren't completely back to normal here, but if I wait for things to get "back to normal", I'll gain everything back. The stresses have let up some, so there is no reason that I can't start taking care of me once again. I've been tracking my meals. NOT PRETTY! But, I'm tracking them. I'll g... Sat, 27 Apr 2013 18:42:44 EST Life here has been nuts... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5333034 The last 6 weeks are one I would not want to live through again. I almost lost DH. He got an infection, which drove his sugar up, in just a few short days, he hit bottom. He had seen the doc just a week before, and it is crazy how one can go from doing good, to "seeing the light". The night I speak of, was The Biggest Loser finale night. DH told me he was ok, and for me to go to art class. And he was feeling ok, he had supper, two helpings, and was ready to spend 4 hours watching the local ... I got up before he did. When he got up, I was on the computer, on SparkPeople. He came out, and on his way to the bathroom, he said, "Mimi! Why are you on SparkPeople again?" (I was on it after he went to bed, and he asked what I was doing. lol.) I told him "I am helping people get healthy and lose weight. When I started on there, there were people helping me." "Oh," he said. And nodded his head as he ran by. When he came back out, he sat on chair next to ... Wed, 13 Feb 2013 20:00:59 EST Bitter/Sweet Day.. http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5230730 Bitter..because it was 4 months today that our son passed away. We only had one, never was able to have more, and as the time goes on, it gets more and more real that we are a childless couple now. That brings up a whole range of emotions that I don't know how to put into thoughts, and thoughts that my brain doesn't even know how to process. I can't imagine how his son feels. If I'm lost for thoughts on it, I can't even imagine how his 10 year old mind processes it.

The Sweet..in ... Wed, 30 Jan 2013 19:43:25 EST ReAdjusting and fine tuning... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5226045 I stepped on the scale today, to do a sneak peak before Wednesday's weigh in on BLC21. I was up a pound. So, I got to looking at the values that are set up in my meal tracker. Seems like everything is the same since the day I started, and from 50-ish pounds ago. Why would I need that many carbs now? So, I knocked the levels down a bit. About 40 carbs on each end. And my sodium max, I lowered that as well. It's been a while since I tracked what I ate, and in the time since I stopped, I had cha... Sun, 27 Jan 2013 19:29:12 EST How will I feel when I reach my goal? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5224047 I'm not sure. I've never weighed what I weigh now. From the age of 16 to 46, I fluctuated between 195-200lbs. Then I quit smoking. Got to 222lbs. Currently, I am 170, heading to 155. at 158, I hit what would be at normal weight. That is new to me. So, I don't know what to expect. When I was 16, i went to WW during summer vacation, and went from 199 to 166. Gained it all back though. But, I don't remember how I felt. That was a long time ago. Maybe I won't feel any different than I do now. <B... Sat, 26 Jan 2013 08:33:31 EST What I regret about my past... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5223789 For BLC21 this weekend, we are writing blogs about what one thing we regret in life. One regret, is how, hmmmm, this is tough. hmm. I never took chances in life. I always played it smart. I never did things that would have me "put myself out there". I sang in a folk group for a while in church22 years ago. There were 2 of us in the group that sang harmony. One Sunday, my partner was ill. I sang harmony as a solo. A few older ladies came over after Mass, and said they got goosebumps when I let... Fri, 25 Jan 2013 23:22:29 EST
