A lot of things changed over the past year, I've moved into a new position at work, moved into a new house and gotten in a new relationship. In the mist of all of this I also lost track of looking out for me. I realized over the past year, that I was stressing over a lot of things but now I'm back on track. I completed my entire workout for the week. I'm doing P90X and spinning and other cardio. I did not over do it and I actually felt great. I didn't take a day off, I figure that I can do something everyday even if its only 15 minutes of abs workouts. Yesterday was my 9th day straight of working out. I sometimes get stiff if I miss a day. My 9 year old daughter has join me in my at home workouts and its fun because she pushes me a lot. We both sweat so hard together. LOL ... Mon, 26 Jul 2010 11:07:58 EST Spinning class Yesterday I did spinning class. I've done it before about 3 years ago and it made my butt hurt so bad that I couldn't go back. I was in pain for almost a week after that torture. But yesterday was different, I really enjoyed it. Not to say I wasn't watching the clock the whole time. Anyway, I made it through the whole 55 minutes. I was drenched with sweat but I felt great and energized afterwards. Now that's what I am talking about. Yeah, I did spinning twice about 2 years ago and it kicked my butt (literally) kicked my butt. My booty was hurting for a week. Those sits are not made for people with big butts! I was preparing myself for Vegas so I didn't workout at all. Of course, I ate and drank everything in site, while there. Yes, I gained a few pounds. I started off with the lean phase and changed to the classic phase two weeks ago. I wanted to do more with my arms but dang, I didn't want push ups! I had to modify some of the exercises but I keep going. I notice that for week two I will have to use heavier weights. I didn't realize I was as strong as I am. Yeah baby!!! Sun, 14 Mar 2010 20:15:24 EST P90X newbie! Well, yesterday morning was the first day of p90x for me. All I can say is WOW!! I am so sore today but I refuse to give up on this particular workout. I wanna prove to myself that I can stick out a program. I usually would start one and by the second week, I'm bored with it and then I give up. It's not gonna happen this time. I did Chalean Push phase circuit 1, Abs Jam, walked on a 14 incline on the treadmill and side leg lifts. I felt so good but today I feel exhausted but I am not stopping. I hate the wintertime and I really hate to workout when its this cold. I live in the STL and its about 8 degrees right now. I told myself that I would not let the cold weather slow me down on my workouts. I guess I just have to bundle up a little more when I head to the gym. Did I mention I hate the winter!!! Over the weekend I went out to a club and I'm always surprised at what some of the women are wearing. I know that you are suppose to be confident in yourself but ladies everything is not for everybody. Just because they make things in our sizes doesn't mean that everybody has the body to wear it.
