Hubby passed the basket and I took one of eat like the kids and chowed down. We chatted away and passed the basket for a third cookie. I was on the last bite of the third cookie when I realized what I was doing. I got home and trakced it 450 calories! More than my dinner! Yikes and sigh. Tue, 5 Feb 2013 22:35:59 EST Almost 2 pounds lost / Mommy Belly http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5234562 Yay almost 2 pounds lost already! I can see my waist shrinking ( I always lose weight first off my waist). But I am starting to think that my mommy jiggle belly is here to stay. I feel it is mostly loose skin. Any of you expereinced Mommies have some insight? Remember DD is almost a year old, so the 9 momths up, nine months down, is out the window! Sat, 2 Feb 2013 13:46:51 EST I promise I did not just abandon you willy-nilly http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4367696 So you have likely noticed I have not been on spark for the last 9 weeks or so. Well since my caloric needs have made a sudeen change this tool is a little less effective. Also measuring my body is now a completely different ball game. Give up? I know I was trying to be subtle lol. I am Pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!! yay!
So hopefully I will see you guys again in about a year, try to loose the baby weight. Until then I wish you all well. Sun, 17 Jul 2011 09:07:05 EST An important difference http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4258496 So there is a difference in me from the last time I tried this a year ago. True I was basicly the same weight, however I definitly have a different body composition. A year ago I was essentially a sedentary student. Now I am back at work and much more active. Additionally I am on my feet approximately 6 hours a day. I have mixed feelings about the fact that my legs are now pretty much solid muscle ( nice to be firm , bad to be a bit bulgy), but I can definitly assume that I have more mus... Thu, 26 May 2011 20:11:10 EST The lost weekend http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4248652 Hello,

It has been a little crazy around here. Friday was a little nuts and saturday just got worse.

On friday I had a fairly normal day thought I was a little high for breakfast, but after lunch I giave up tracking. I went to Mom's for dinner and it was probably acceptable, but I don't know how to track her casserole. but on the bright side at least she served it with veggies. I then went to my Sparks sleepover. I was pretty good as I only had one bowl of popcorn ... Sun, 22 May 2011 11:17:59 EST SO hungry http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4241580 Today I was so hungry. I made a couple really stupid choices.

I packed a soup for lunch from the cupboard without really looking at it. I didn't pack any bread thinking I could grab some at work. When I sat down to read it the stupis soup was over 400 calories. Grr, that left me no room for bread to go with it.
I was then of course famished by the time supper came and I wolfed down my turkey sub,nt even tasting it. I was still so hungry. I ate my little dessert and still ... Wed, 18 May 2011 16:58:23 EST Day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4237334 Hello, day two(ish) all done. I say ish because day one only began in the evening after most of my mistakes had been made.
Today I was good as far as eating i stayed right on. I may have discovered a trick for evenings as I have unfourtunately become a evening eater. After I finish yoga ( yay me) I can have a protein rich snack like flakes of chicken or something, that way I am satiated. Do you have any late snacking tips to share? Mon, 16 May 2011 21:00:35 EST Back on the Bandwagon http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4234718 Here we are again. Back to the begnning. Of course you are asking the obvious question, what brought me back?

Last night my best friend and I went shopping for her wedding dress. we found the one * yay* but it is a little tight. So we are resolved to both lose weight for her wedding to both look great up there. We are going to be able to keep each other accountable and encourage each other and hopefully this is the route to success.

On another note I picked up the m... Sun, 15 May 2011 20:24:09 EST Missing day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3140751 I realized i forgot to blog about last tuesday. After checking my menu I do remember it. It was a very ordinary day until dinner, we went to sobeys to pick it up. I got sushi and a wrap. It was difficult to count them because there were no labels so i had to make an approximation. However I see I actually did not eat enough calories for the day, so oh well! Tue, 20 Apr 2010 12:28:11 EST Last day http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3140728 Yesterday I woke up feeling all around gross. I just felt blah. This made me crave, Fortuanately i was craving soup. I gladly indulged myself wiht soup and a roll for breakfast. I was so good packing for my snack, I even put in some grapes! ( I never eat fruit, that was quite a step). I also triumphed at dinner. I really wanted to have perogies, but I I stuck to the original plan of spaghetti. I did end up coming in under my calories. yay! Tue, 20 Apr 2010 12:22:54 EST Day 5 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3136068 Yesterday was sunday!
I was so very pleasantly surprised to see my husband hading me a breakfast sandwich through my pre-church fog. Even more pleased when several hours later what was in it he was able to tell me, right down to how many pieces of turkey bacon, what he had put in it!

As well as breakfast went I think that's how poorly the rest of the day went food wise. For lunch we went to my parent's house and my father made lasagne's. So yummy! but so bad! I know I did n... Mon, 19 Apr 2010 11:04:07 EST day 4 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3133002 Day four for me was saturday. We got up and worked around the house, before we headed out I made grilled cheese sandwiches so we would not but anything while out ( also so my husband did not become hungry when he was outs, as this makes him very cranky and hard to deal with). When we arrived at the bank they had a a barbecue and we could not politely say no ( it was for charity) so I had a hotdog. Later when we went grocery shopping I had the idea to make a seafood chowder as soon it will ... Sun, 18 Apr 2010 14:40:40 EST day 3 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3129550 day three started out on a weak note. I had my old favorite of noodles and cream of chicken soup. However when it was time to record i decided to enter our brand specifically instead of using the generic pasta in the listing. I was shocked when i saw the figures, it has 330 calories for 3/4th of a cup. To me that seems like a lot more. When we go shopping today I am going to be doing some label checking to figure it out. we normally buy the "smart" pasta. It is supposed to look and tas... Sat, 17 Apr 2010 11:31:26 EST day 2 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3129532 Thursday was a fairly unimpressive day when considering food. One small change ( which I am not yet sure about lol) was that as I was out of blueberries, my usual oatmeal concoction had strawberries in it. it was pretty good, but i missed having a little berry for ever bite. ( wow that was pathetic, I am so boring). I did have one interesting observation. It is really is protein which keeps me full. Usually after having a single serving of meat for dinner I am very nibbley buy 9 or 10 o... Sat, 17 Apr 2010 11:26:41 EST Day 1 http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3122975 Today I did pretty well with my food choices. Had my automated egg breakfast. Then I found some strawberries in the back of my fridge so i cut them up. When it came time to eat the strawberries i opened them and they smelled sickly sweet so i could not bring myself to eat them. This left me very hungry by the time I got home. I was in a very poor mood so my husband offered to cook supper for me, but that meant i would have to wait an hour until he was free. Because of these two things c... Thu, 15 Apr 2010 13:04:17 EST School required food tracking http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3118876 So lately I have been pretty slack. I ate chocolate like an addict for one week after easter( but on the bright side that was all the time I allowed myself, it is now all gone). I haven't recorded with any great gusto in approaching 3 weeks :(. But now I am going to be rewuired to record my food for 7 days for school. We are learning about nutirion and are supposed to be following the canadia's food guide. We officially started tracking last afternoon and therefore I have been doing well... Wed, 14 Apr 2010 13:18:09 EST oh my class lol http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3056506 So in class we are doing a health and safety unit. Part of this unit includes nutrition. Our teacher told us that for an assignment we will have to follow the canada food guide for a week. One person asked the inevitable question "How will you know if we do or not". the teacher explained we would have to keep a food journal. Everyone was completely overwhelmed! They couldn't imagine havign to put in that work. Suck it up buttercup! Between this website ( which makes it quite convenient... Mon, 29 Mar 2010 12:36:50 EST Slackness which ended in a major flu http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3046247 So I haven't been active on here for 5 days according to my ticker. I was not super careful about what I was eating, and I did not exercise. However since wednesday I have been brought low by a serious flu. I was very sick and was unable to eat for about 36 hours and I have been keeping it carefully since then. I checked the scale this morning and it said I had lost about 5 pounds from wednesday morning to friday morning. I think I am mostly rehydrated ( lots of Powerade and Gingerale) so... Fri, 26 Mar 2010 12:30:15 EST So its been over a week... http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=3014254 It has been over a week since I posted a blog... oops. I have not been inactive on the site. I have recorded my food most days and been doing ok with food. I even recorded some weight loss, about a pound this week.
However I was not so good yesterday. I had a big ice cream sandwich and a muffin for snack and taquitos for dinner. On the bright side at least I had a garden salad to go with it. However maybe not surprisingly I am carrying about a pound of water weight today. But I d... Thu, 18 Mar 2010 09:11:26 EST A low but boring week http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2978025 So I have been maintsing my lowest weight pretty standardly this week. I have not exercised very much yet. I tried Yoga Booty Ballet yesterday for about 10 minutes, but I gave up when it refused to load and I lost my heart rate rhythm. I have been eating alright through I made KD for breakfast today ( on the bright side clearly my stomache has shrunk as I could only eat half of what I used to. I have a seafood stir fry planned for dinner so I should still come in fine for calories today. Tue, 9 Mar 2010 12:34:34 EST 10 pound update picture http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2968045 Here is my 10 pound picture. LOL I may have cheated a little over the previous picture. However in penance I will share my look thinner in a picture ideas with you:
-Dark stretchy jean- really you can never go wrong. They remove definition in the belly/thigh area even if the are a tad tight
-Heels- Just make anyone look longer and leaner ( we were on our way out the door, I don't usually wear heels around the house)
-Hold arms far away from body
-put one foot in front o... Sun, 7 Mar 2010 07:44:33 EST To Nervous to do it http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2957337 I know this has nothing to do with weight loss. But I feel safe in this blog as I don't know anyone on her in real life.

So on valentines day ( well actually the night before) I forgot to take my pill ( we were out late and then crashed into bed). Of course on valentines we had sex. He didn't use anything. I realized a couple days after that I had missed my pill right on day 14 of my cycle (ovulation). I am getting very disappointed and a little frustrated. I can't seem to shake these two extra pounds!
My period buddy got hers today, but mine is still MIA. grr. Part of me doesn't want it to show up, but that would seriously screw over our travel plans for christmas ( which we are really lookng forward too). Mon, 1 Mar 2010 17:39:42 EST Am I going to make it through Lent? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2927054 For Lent I gave up desserts and junk food. Most nights I am just dying for something sweet after dinner or during the evening. The discounted Valentines chocolate which was tormenting me has been replaced with Easter chocolate. We all know that Easter chocolate is pretty much the best chocolate of the year.
I have really been suffering, however I think I have found a small coping mechanism. Dips. Last night I made my Taco dip. I could also have hummus or tatziki as a night nibbl... Thu, 25 Feb 2010 13:19:51 EST yesterday and today and breakfast rut http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2922616 After setting my ambitious goal on monday, tuesday was not so perfect and neither was today. I had a large breakfast yesterday, and was basically unable to count dinner ( I was at my Mother's house and we had left over turkey dinner, a little of everything!). On our way home my husband revealed that he had not eaten dinner and was going to have wendy's. I still have this nagging subconscious feeling that fast food is a treat or reward and I feel terribly left out if someone gets it and I do... Wed, 24 Feb 2010 13:58:12 EST I'm Back! Mon, 22 Feb 2010 13:26:03 EST Surprised by how much food I am allowed http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2866083 Yesterday I felt like I cheated alot. My desk-mate bought timbits adn I ate three. Then for dinner I had a foot long sub way sandwhich complete with cookies. But surprisingly it all just fit into my calorie requirements. That seems like alot of food. I marvel how I can lose weight when I am alloowed these indulgences? It seems counter productive. Oh well I won't complain because I really like food..... I could blame it on mother nature, but that would be an excuse. But I think I may have just needed a break. The good news is as off this morning I was still at my pre-bloat weight. So I gained nothing during my kinds bad week. But unfourtunately I lost only time and no weight. Last weeK I was very stressed out about school and I knowingly ate my emotions. This is something I struggle with. really my weakness was j... Mon, 8 Feb 2010 14:19:21 EST Sabotage!!!!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2799781 My husband is subcounciously (I hope) sabotageing me. He is naturall thin ( thoguh he has gained some weight in the past year). He grew up not even glimpsing the idea of a diet. His parents deep fried everything and purchased full fat everything.

Last night I mused that we should have bought ice cream ( not very seriously) so he bought some
. Tue, 26 Jan 2010 13:31:09 EST eating too little/cake http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2781350 Last night I did not track my dinner. I was a little bad ( so I thoguht) I had quite the generous serving of sidekicks ( I love them 4 ). I tracked my dinner last night this morning, and I was under on almost every catagory.
It seems like I am eating alot on this diet, I struggle to get all the calories and carbs (what carbs? I had a terrible craving for chinese food. We headed over to teh grocery store, and I managed to find some chicken balls there which weren't too bad. 220 calories for 6! and they were mostly meat, not all coating yay. I made homemade beef and brocolli, whose only sin was soya sauce, but over all not too bad, and a I shared a pack of mr. noodles with my husband ( salt again!)
I know you are probably thinking its not too bad, but as i mentioned in ... Fri, 15 Jan 2010 13:25:08 EST Scale resolution! Website problem? http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2745037 I called my Mom first thing this morning and asked her about her scale. She reported she finds it very different than many other scales. I therefore am trusting the husband comparison ( see last night's post). Therefore by my new math I have lost 5.5 pounds in my first week. Woot me.
This brings me back to a problem I have been having with the site. On the day I signed up I estimated my weight. I underestimated by 17 pounds, now I don't know how to change that silly 200 floating ... Thu, 14 Jan 2010 13:33:03 EST Scale confusion http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2742471 When I weighed myself last it was on my Mother's unreliable analogue scale. I have not since had a chance to re-weigh myslef on it. Tonight I bit the bullet and bought myself a new digital scale. I weighed myself and it said I ahd lost 1 pund ( don't get me wrong one is better than none). However when my husband came home he weighed himself and it showed he weighed 4 pounds less than he did at my Mother's on sunday. Here's hoping there is a 4 pound difference for real in the scales, and ... Then I realized that we had no bread. this threw me for a whirl. I now realize how much i depended on bread. I had plenty of protein (eggs, turkey) but no bread. i couldn't have an egg sandwhich, eggs and toast, turkey sandwhich. I had no idea. It was my first time. I liked that I can add it to my meal plan with one click. I edited the recipe a little bit. I used canned tomatoes instead of sun-dried. I also did not bake it. I realized that it was really something I would have made anyway, diet or not.

But I served it over noodles. I may have undercut myself. The side of the box did not ... Tue, 12 Jan 2010 14:11:11 EST the beginning http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=2734976 I will give you some back information about me and my struggles with weight. My Mother has been on some form of diet since long before I was born, some more successful than others. From the time I was 12 years old I have been on some form of meal plan or diet. They were never particularly successful in having me lose weight. However my mother's strict monitoring of my diet and the fact that I danced most days of the week kept my weight relatively in check.

However when I w... Tue, 12 Jan 2010 14:10:47 EST
