It's been an interesting month, and it's not over yet... <BR> <BR> The first 2 weeks of my training there was a lot of working out, and mostly healthy eating. But this week, our schedule is more annoying. Meaning we only get one hour for lunch (and I'm used to at least 1.5hrs and working out during lunch), and we don't get out until 5pm. It's annoying. The most annoying part is the fact that it's a total waste of my time. I sit there, work for maybe 30 min, at the end I stand up and brief f... Wed, 25 Jul 2012 00:00:26 EST Let's get serious... After surgery I really let loose. In not so many words. My eating wasn't the way it was supposed to me, neither was my working out... and it doesn't help my doc has me on a new medication that one of the side effects is weight gain. Now I'm not chalking up my +13lbs from surgery because of the meds, but I gotta get serious about this ya'll! AND my fitness test is coming up. I say re-opening because this is the second glorious time I've been wired shut, although last time I had braces on, so the cutting free was fairly different. <BR> <BR> Sadly I had a hard time sleeping last night, and again, woke up with a crazy tension headache. So... some of you might not know my hubby is in the Air National Guard, the Hawaiian ANG. Anyway, long story short he's still trying to transfer which means he hasn't been able to find a unit here in the Mainland to do his obligatory drills and what not. His unit was kind enough to let him go back in January to do Jan-Mar drills, and they're letting him go back in May to do Apr-Jun drills, AND his extra two weeks of active duty time. I had to work at the trailer to "man" it in case anyone called while everyone else went home after PT in the morning. I think it's because I was using my vibrams... but my calves were killing me... and it took everything I had to finish that time! Glad I did it though, because throughout the morning I made myself... Probably with about 30lbs on my back, and that's right on target with what we're supposed to do. So I'm very happy with my time (My first ruck was 6miles in 135min--goal time is 90min!!) I tried to take it easy yesterday in Circuit 30/Cycle 30, and Zumba... today it wasn't as great as I wished it would be. Today was my Ct5K workout (which is now basically, trying to jog for 30 minutes) but I knew my right calf was acting up... so I tried to just do a mock fitness test: 1 min of pushups and situps, and the 1.5mile run time. I sign up for races, and then I do not train for them. This is the second time I have been at Keesler during the fall timeframe. The first time I did this race was 4 years go. I'm an overachiever. I'm a pusher. I just, muster through things. Since the gym cut out Core Class (6-6:30), it gave me an opportunity to jump into the Zumba class (starts at 5:30)...but I was pretty shot after doing was still nice to shake my booty, even if I had the wrong shoes on.
