BRELYNNDEE1's SparkPeople Blog BRELYNNDEE1's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community The first snow! Today has quite the productive day! I was going to go out to do my groceries this morning, but the first snow of the season was falling pretty heavily. So instead of dealing with the wacky drivers and the weather, I opted to get stuff done around the house. I made my housework into exercise by getting really active with it. Actually worked up a sweat. Woo hoo! the dogs sat and watched me, following me as I cleaned each room.
After all was done and I had had a healthy lunch of pe... Sat, 24 Nov 2012 16:21:45 EST It's a good thing I walked this morning. The wind is howling around outside and the rain is pelting against the windows tonight as I'm sitting here on the couch writing my blog. It is absolutely miserable outside! It's a good thing that I went for a long walk with my dogs this morning before the storm set in. I`m going to do a little Zumba tonight after I finish treating my last cllient. That will be a great stress reliever to finish off my day.

My day on the whole hasn`t been all that bad. But I am a little irrit... Mon, 12 Nov 2012 18:32:44 EST Produce doesn't get a chance to wilt in the fridge anymore.....imagine that?! Today i'm going to write about a couple of things. First of all, I just had to write down this observation.....I was going through my fridge this morning, scrounging up breakfast eats, and I noticed that my produce from the week is almost all gone! It used to be that celery would go limp, cucumbers went to mush, apples wrinkled and berries.....well we won't Yuck! Now, I eat so many fruits and veggies daily that I have to actually go a restock our fridge halfway through the we... Wed, 7 Nov 2012 11:24:44 EST Still going strong! Hope all is well with everyone today. Well, I do have to say that I'm pretty proud of myself after this weekend. This past weekend, I had travelled with a my friend down to Kentucky to have a girl's weekend. I had been worried about how well I was going to be able to stick to my guns with eating and exercise over the weekend.
I managed to make healthy choices most of the time when we were eating at restaurants, I drank plenty of water, had the odd food splurge, AND I tracked everyt... Fri, 26 Oct 2012 12:41:54 EST Worries about travel. This week so far, I do have to say that I've been pretty spot-on with the healthy living. Things have been going great and I've made very good progress, regarding weight loss and health improvement, so far.
I'm just worried about 'blowing it' this weekend. I'm going with my girlfriend down to Kentucky for the weekend shopping and sightseeing. Eating out is going to be inevitable. This weekend, I'm going to take some packets of my multigrain hot cereal with me (very high fibre, ta... Thu, 18 Oct 2012 15:55:00 EST This is working so well. I just got finished making a large pot of 'Hamburger Vegetable and Barley soup' today for tonights supper and is it ever good! Going to be making Meg's Buttermilk biscuits to go along with it shortly.
Aside from that, I just have to write that I was over at my mom and dad's the other day. They have a Blood Pressure monitor in their living room that they use several times a week. For the heck of it, I decided to take my BP. I hadn't done this since March of this year. At that time, m... Tue, 16 Oct 2012 14:23:41 EST Positive changes I've noticed. When the scale doesn't budge as quickly as I would like at times, here are all the things that
I've noticed improvement that I focus on.
1) My skin is much clearer and brighter.
2) Walking the dogs is much easier and we're covering more distance in less time.
3) I hurt less in my feet and legs at the end of the day.
4) I have more spring in my step
5) Drinking diet soda isn't as appealing as it once was. I crave water moreso now.
6) I crave fruit and en... Sun, 14 Oct 2012 11:21:21 EST Zumba kicked my coo!!! OMG!!! Well folks, this week I purchased the new Zumba fitness game for my Wii. I spent the first couple of days just getting familiar with the different dance steps and trying out individual songs. Even with just doing that I was sweating. Then today I decided to do a mid length workout routine. All I can say is....WOW!!!
I was completely drenched after 43 minutes. I was shocked at how quickly the time passed. I love the music and the choreography is challenging but not impossib... Fri, 5 Oct 2012 17:38:04 EST Today is a bittersweet day. Today has been a great day so far, in regards to my healthy eating habits and my exercise regime. Actually, the past of weeks, I have been doing very well with it. I've decided to just take things slow and easy and form new habits that I can live with for the rest of my life. I may not be the fastest out of the gate, but I know that what I'm doing is making LASTING changes. This summer I was with my husband to visit his family in Portugal. He is from the Azores. What a beautiful place. ... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 14:16:50 EST
