Not sure if I'll get for a swim on Thursday either because I'm going to the funeral of the mother of an ex boyfriend.
Our meal tonight is peppers stuffed with spicey minced beef, sugarsnap peas, carrots, roasted parsnips & sweet potato. Obviously we had to have our homemade coleslaw.

<img src=" Tue, 18 Oct 2016 15:04:53 EST October 17th Went to a Slimming World event yesterday to see if we could become consultants because we both feel we want to give something back. It was all extremely interesting, but after a great deal of thought, we have decided that we will continue to help our consultant as part of the social team as it would be too much of a commitment at this time.
We had the Baked Burgers for our evening meal.

... Mon, 17 Oct 2016 16:03:32 EST October 15th & 16th Had a super day yesterday, we took Pete's Mum & Dad to meet up with some of their extended family. We all met up for a meal & had a lovely time.

Then we went over to some friends from our SW group for the evening. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day. Sun, 16 Oct 2016 08:30:42 EST October 14th I was really peeved last night, I'd put on a pound! I really don't understand why because I've been 'On Plan' apart from Saturday. Don't worry, I'm not giving up, I just feel like having a moan.

Apart from weigh in, we had a brilliant night for our Pre Christmas Party. Lots of different tasters and some of us dressed up. Here are a few photos.

<img src="http://photosaw... Fri, 14 Oct 2016 10:31:56 EST October 13th Off to Slimming World Group shortly, I'm hoping to have a loss but I'll be wearing a thicker dress because it's so cold here. We're also having our pre-Christmas party, it's a way of focussing our thoughts on what we aim to do in the weeks leading up to the festive period & how we will be able to avoid the party season pitfalls. We're taking our homemade Coleslaw & a Slimming World version of non-alcholic Pimm's for our taster session. Thu, 13 Oct 2016 13:23:30 EST October 12th Pete is away overnight & I didn't feel like cooking a lot so I just had eggs & a tin of spaghetti. I did however have loads of fruit though.

Wed, 12 Oct 2016 15:57:48 EST October 11th Here's the Spanish Chicken with roasted parsnips & sweet potato & SW Homemade Coleslaw which was our meal on Monday.

Then tonight we've had Chicken in Oyster sauce, noodles and extra veg & SW Homemade Coleslaw

Tue, 11 Oct 2016 13:48:33 EST October 10th Here's a photo of the Minced beef hash we had last night. Sun, 9 Oct 2016 12:04:27 EST October 8th Busy day, went up to see Mum & went over to brother & SILs' for lunch. Back home with just enough time to change, then out with friends for a meal.
Off to bed now.
198 102 Sat, 8 Oct 2016 18:39:29 EST October 7th Our meal tonight was Buffalo meatballs & onions in an SW Chinese 5 Spice sauce, potato & sweet potato mash, asparagus, green beans & baby broccoli.

Fri, 7 Oct 2016 17:08:03 EST October 6th I was better pleased with weigh in tonight because the scales showed I lost the pound I put on last week. Let's hope things are beginning to start moving in the right direction again. Thu, 6 Oct 2016 18:01:45 EST October 5th This was tonight's meal, Peppers stuffed with minced beef, SW (homemade) Coleslaw and Hassleback potatoes.

Wed, 5 Oct 2016 16:31:46 EST October 4th We had the rest of the Chicken Korma last night with broccoli, cauliflower, SW onion bhaji, SW coleslaw and a saddleback potato. It was a Slimming World Recipe of Chicken Korma, boiled rice and SW coleslaw. It was gorgeous.
Mon, 3 Oct 2016 12:26:24 EST October 1st & 2nd I missed blogging yesterday because Pete & I went to a wedding reception for my Godson. It was held at Chatsworth House
As we drove up to the house in the dark

we had to avoid herds of deer and a huge Stag. Unfortunately it was too dark to get a photo of them.
This is a lovely picture from the reception last night. Right-Left. My good friend Tony (Grooms' Father) ... Sun, 2 Oct 2016 11:55:46 EST September 30th I've just been watching the special programme celebrating the life of Terry Wogan, what a fabulous fella. It was a lovely hour watching a legend. Such a shame he's no longer with us. Fri, 30 Sep 2016 16:54:01 EST September 29th Off to weigh in soon but I don't think I'm going to be very pleased with the scales this week even though I've stuck to plan. Oh well, we'll see. Thu, 29 Sep 2016 13:32:21 EST September 28th I'm happy again, my Pete is back home. Wed, 28 Sep 2016 14:20:27 EST September 27th Pete is working away overnight so it's very quiet here. I'm waiting for him to give me a call for a chat. Don't know what we used to do before we had things like Skype & fb messenger, at least now I can see him as well as talk to him.
I'm having a bolognaise with pasta for my meal with added vegetables. Tue, 27 Sep 2016 13:41:54 EST September 26th We had a lovely Steak & Mushroom salad last night with the left over coleslaw. Very nice.

Mon, 26 Sep 2016 10:25:18 EST September 25th Unfortunately I didn't get chance to take any photos last night so I've had to take a photo out of the magazine.

Baked Burgers

<img src=" Sun, 25 Sep 2016 14:00:03 EST September 24th We're cooking for the neighbours tonight, Baked Burgers which is homemade burgers using Baked potatoes instead of a bun, homemade coleslaw, homemade tomato sauce, baked mushrooms and sweet potato wedges. For dessert we're making an Apple Betty.
I'll see if I can take some photos of it all.
Sat, 24 Sep 2016 13:32:07 EST September 23rd Bit miffed to have maintained on the scales again last night when we have been so 'on plan' all week except our Anniversary meal on Sunday. Anyway we'll keep on keeping on, mainly because we love the food we're eating.

We've had a lovely day having spent it at the National Cycle Show at the NEC. I'm not interrested in cycling but Pete is and this was the second time we've been. He managed to get a slot on the Road Test Track which meant that he was able to try out lots of the high-... Fri, 23 Sep 2016 14:52:11 EST September 22nd Going to weigh in shortly and I'm hoping for a good result for this week as we've done even better with our food than normal to try to get the scales to move. Fingers crossed. Thu, 22 Sep 2016 12:54:26 EST September 21st The weather has been awful this afternoon with several bouts of torrential rain, I was so glad to be inside. Wed, 21 Sep 2016 14:20:18 EST September 20th

This was tonight's meal which was so delicious and was made up of the leftover mince filling and vegetables from the Lasagne we made at the weekend plus loads of extra sugarsnap peas, onion, carrot & peppers. Tue, 20 Sep 2016 14:17:59 EST September 19th Going to try to pack in loads of 'Speed food' this week to see if it gives my scales the kick I need. Tonight we made a Gardeners Pie which contains lots of 'Speed food', carrots, celery, parsnip and onion. Although I'm not vegetarian I could eat this pie regularly, it's very tasty. Mon, 19 Sep 2016 16:44:19 EST September 18th 23 years ago today , Pete and I made our vows in front of all our family and friends . Over the years we've celebrated our anniversary in many different ways , a hotel overlooking Niagara Falls , a meal in a steak house in Kissimmee, or our favourite curry house in Wednesbury , this year, as the 18th of September started we were to be found in a hot tub with our lovely friends next door . How the other half live eh.
23 wonderful years and here's to all the future ones.
337</e... Sun, 18 Sep 2016 11:14:41 EST September 17th I'm sitting here trying to get my Sparking done and I keep dropping off to sleep, I think it's the weather because it feels a bit stormy. That could cause a few problems later because our neighbours are coming over for a meal (they're having their kitchen done) and then we're going back to their house to sit in the hot tub for a while. Not a good idea in a thunderstorm methinks!
I'm also trying to watch the last day of the Paralympics which have been absolutely incredible. I'm especially... Sat, 17 Sep 2016 12:23:20 EST September 16th It was a very busy time at our Slimming World group last night. Although I maintained this week, I was quite pleased it wasn't a gain after our trip away last weekend. Just shows that if you get straight back 'on it' after a bit of indulgence, you can still stay reasonably 'on track'.

I was so proud as well last night, Pete, my DH, was awarded his Slimming World Diamond Award, having lost 60 lbs reached his Target and maintained it for 12 months! Not only has he done that but he ha... Fri, 16 Sep 2016 11:44:55 EST September 15th Managed to get to the pool and did 2 1/2 miles so quite pleased with myself as it's a couple of weeks since I went last.
I'm hoping the scales will show I have lost something tonight, I need to get over this stalemate position Thu, 15 Sep 2016 13:36:29 EST September 14th It was such a gorgeous afternoon, I went and sat in the garden leaving the door open so the kittens could come & go. Even Abbi came out for a while.

Wed, 14 Sep 2016 16:47:10 EST September 13th Finally got our little Morgan neutered today, third time lucky. At least they didn't have to be too invasive as the offending item was found quite quickly.
He's back home now and spark out on the settee, sleeping off the anaesthetic, poor little thing.

Tue, 13 Sep 2016 15:25:44 EST September 12th Loving watching the inspiring people competing in the Paralympics, but especially proud of our GB athletes. So impressed that we are 2nd in the medal table.

If you are on Facebook, you will be aware that you get reminders of where you were on this day over the past years. It really makes you think sometimes.
The following picture is of Pete & I two years ago.

Now t... Mon, 12 Sep 2016 13:04:30 EST September 11th Can't believe it's 15 years since that awful event that shocked the world and 10 years since we were in New York for the weekend and hadn't realised that it was the 5th Anniversary which made our visit very thought provoking.
I don't think anyone who watched the events of that morning, will ever forget. Sun, 11 Sep 2016 16:34:42 EST September 9th & 10th Didn't post yesterday because we went up to Manchester to see the new Cirque du Soleil show Amanula. Absolutely fabulous. Our seats were right on the front row and 3 feet from the stage.

... Sat, 10 Sep 2016 15:51:18 EST September 8th It's finished and we're really pleased with the way it's turned out. All we have to do is get the furniture back in place. More exercise.
Thu, 8 Sep 2016 09:46:45 EST September 7th The time is 12.25 and the lounge is nearly finished. The decorator only started midday yesterday! I'll come back and amend my post when he's gone & I can get in to take some pictures.
It was very strange last night, because our main TV is disconnected and we didn't fancy going to bed too early to watch the TV in there, I'd had the radio on all day so we sat at the dining room table, listening to music and playing on our laptops. What we also did was talk, yes we do talk when we're watchi... Wed, 7 Sep 2016 07:39:36 EST September 5th & 6th Did all my Sparking yesterday except my blog, mind you I had a good excuse......
I was up early (well early for me now I'm retired) as I had to take the boys (kittens) to be neutered. I took them three weeks ago but Morgan hadn't developed as far as he should to have the op!!!!! Once again, after fighting to get them into separate carriers, (they're too big to go in the same one now) I put them in the car and set off for the Vets. Now we've been trying to get them 'happy' to be in the ca... Tue, 6 Sep 2016 09:27:10 EST September 4th Had fun with the 2 kittens whilst trying to change the bed clothes. Sun, 4 Sep 2016 10:41:48 EST September 3rd Had a busy but fruitful Saturday. Did the weekly shop this morning, got it all put away. Washed the fruit (strawberries, blackberries and raspberries) ready to be frozen. We put a handful in our Overnight Oats every day to make it a bit special, so we need to stock the freezer up before the fruit becomes too expensive.
I also made some Chili Tomato soup which is now in the freezer.
Meanwhile we've got a Campfire Stew in the slow-cooker which will be ready in about another 4 hours. <... Sat, 3 Sep 2016 13:12:44 EST September 2nd I was quite disappointed with the one pound gain last night but then it could have been much worse and it's a good job I stopped taking those tablets after only 2 days.
After the torrential downpour last night and this morning I had thought that the sunny times were now over ( at least it lasted 3 days ) but the sun has returned this afternoon and I'm hoping it keeps on over the weekend. Fri, 2 Sep 2016 11:31:19 EST September 1st Well it's a new month and I finally got back to the pool today and did 2.5 miles. Yay!
I've been feeling a bit low because I had to take some anti-inflamatory tablets as my knuckles flared up. Like the last time I took them, my weight went up overnight by 7lbs. WHY! I only took the tablets for 2 days and it's taken until today for my weight to come down again so I'm hoping that the scales show I've maintained rather than put any on. Thu, 1 Sep 2016 13:50:26 EST
