I've no idea why the gain because I've not done anything to warrant it. My water intake has been good, my Syns have been minimal & I've had so much Speed food it's untrue. I've had a bag of kale in the freezer & every day I've put a load in my home made soups plus putting extra veg in our evening meals. My only cosolation is that Pete put on 4lbs! Luckily he's stil... Sat, 30 Jan 2016 16:13:46 EST January 29th Had a great night at group yesterday & I've lost 2lbs which makes up for the 1 1/2 I put on last week. It just shows that although I followed the plan as usual the only thing different was that I had no exercise while I was ill, hence the gain. As soon as I was back in the pool, I lost again. <BR> I'm hoping that by next week I get my 6 stone award. So I have until next thursday to lose 2 1/2lbs. That is DOABLE! I've tried letting this cold run it's course without using anything more than Olbas Oil to help me through but I felt so bad yesterday that Pete insisted that I take some medication. Mon, 18 Jan 2016 12:42:07 EST January 17th Well Tesco delivered our weekly shop dead on 12 & I'm now waiting for Iceland to deliver all our frozen stuf, most of which is Slimming World meals & sauces as they are theonly ones who sell them. Trouble is, whereas Tesco deliver within a one hour window, Iceland is two hours and we're already 15 minutes into the second hour. <BR> We're going to be cooking a Chicken Gumbo tonight, it's a new recipe for us but I'm hoping it will be spicey enough for us to taste. I went for a swim & although I managed 2.8 miles I wasn't feeling too bright myself. In fact once I finally got home, had to pick up my prescription from the Chemist & call in at the local shop for a lettuce, I felt sooooo cooold, I went to bed for an hour. I'm hoping for a reasonable result on the scales at weigh-in tonight although you never know what they will say. I've had weeks where I've been really good & yet only lost 1/2lb or even put on a pound, other times even after going out for a meal with family or friends & maybe having a dessert & a drink I've lost a couple of pounds. Sometimes there is no reason to it. Still it's been a consistent downward trend & I'm sticking with it. Mon, 4 Jan 2016 09:05:05 EST January 3rd Had a lazy day today, breakfast in bed, a quick trip to the shop for Pete to return & replace 3 shirts he bought yesterday which were too big. I've put a clothes wash on & it's now in the tumble drier. We've not done a lot else. <BR> Pete is back to work tomorrow so everything goes back to normal again. At least this year things are going to be so much better than they were last year, we're both a lot lighter than we were & a lot healthier. Now we can look forward to a great 2016. Thu, 31 Dec 2015 17:06:00 EST December 30th Pete decided to come with me & spend some time in the gym whilst I was swimming however when he came into the pool area he went & sat in the sauna, then the steam room. Unfortunately he got too hot & almost collapsed. Luckily the staff were excellent & helped me to get him sat down & then laid down on a lounger. They gave him a glucose drink & he came round quite quickly. He seems fine now but it was a bit of a worry at the time. It's possible that we're both coming down with something becau... Wed, 30 Dec 2015 13:14:37 EST December 29th We have some friends & their son coming over this evening for a meal, she lost her mother at the beginning of December so it's not been a good time for them all. <BR> We're cooking a Shepherds Pie, Chicken & Mushroom Curry, Peas Pilau Rice and for afters we have meringues with Fromage frais & fresh fruit or an Apple Betty. Everything is cooked the Slimming-World way & even if you had a bit of everything you would only consume about 5 Syns, leaving enough room for a glass of wine.
