I really wish I could do more outdoor activities towards exercising but it is so dreadfully hot. We are having temps of at least 100 degrees each day with a heat index of around 114. Due to the heat I have to do all of my exercising inside and it gets boring. I would rather walk outside where there is more to see. Oh well, there is nothing I can do about the weather! Sat, 9 Jul 2011 14:13:22 EST Suggestions Needed I am down to needing to lose 18 more pounds to get to my target weight. I weigh 133 and want to get down to 115. My question is: is it realistic to try to lose 2 pounds a week or is 1 pound about all that is possible? I am only eating 1300 to 1400 calories a day and working out every day but the scale doesn't move more than 1 pound a week. Fri, 1 Jul 2011 12:18:06 EST Almost a smaller size!! Well my size 7's are getting loose and soon I will be down to a smaller size. It feels great when your clothes get too big and you can move down in size. The water weight and plateau have taken leave and the scale was down. I actually did a little dance right there on the scale. Once again I am revived and feel that I am on my way to a slimmer me! Whereas I usually walk off around 400 calories on my gazelle, I have walked off 600 calories. I know I owe this to the wonderful compassion of my Lord and savior. I forgot what a hassle it is to find a good deal at a good price and not be haggled to death by salesmen. I think we'll switch to individuals selling cars instead of car lots. I find that I have to make myself eat enough calories. They say you should not eat under 1200 calories because it puts your body into starvation mode and makes weight loss harder. We have a club and play one time each month. I ate some ice cream for desert like the rest of the group and did not feel so guilty. He walked in yesterday as I was about to step in the shower and it was the first time he really noticed. It made me feel so good to hear him say that. It has been such a long hard struggle. Before I started spark people I had already lost about 60 pounds so altogether I have lost about 65 pounds. His words gave me renewed motivation and determination to lose the rest! It is nothing for me to retain 4 to 5 pounds of water. One day the scale will say a certain weight and the next day may be 5 pounds heavier. The lemonade and pink lemonade is really good and it makes it alot easier to drink my 8 glasses of water. I also find that if I drink water during exercising it makes it easier to drink.
