Then fell into a crazy (not bad, just crazy) time in life. [Don't we all at some point?] I lost my job, met an amazing guy, got a great (buy very busy) new j... Fri, 30 Sep 2011 17:30:06 EST Daily Blog - 9/27/11 Happy Tuesday!

It was a good but busy weekend -with the wedding it seems like there is SOOO much stuff to do and never enough time! We did get 90% of the addresses for invitations and sent our Save the Dates yesterday so I am very happy about that! We also went to a few stores and registered for a ton of stuff we don't need (lol our house is full but we have to put something on the registry I guess!). lots of kitchen stuff - hopefully for cooking healthy stuff!

I had a... I have been going to the gym but bc I have to drop him off at work prior I only get 20 minutes in vs the 45 I get with bootcamp. Worko... Thu, 22 Sep 2011 16:47:10 EST Daily Blog 09-15-12 I'm going to start writing shorter daily blogs to see if it keeps me on track a little better!

Today I started out with bootcamp like my normal mon-thurs 5:30-6:10am each morning. It went heart rate monitor is broken again so I'm annoyed I can't see my heart rate. I have to send that in tomorrow to get fixed. It breaks 2x a year on my pretty religiously! (grrr!) I don't think my heart rate is getting as high as it should in the mornings...I need to ramp it up some more so... Thu, 15 Sep 2011 17:04:32 EST I think bubble wrap is the answer... I'm not sure what the question is but I know that bubble wrap will help!

Sooooo what's that about the best intentions? This weekend has been a whole bunch of that but nothing really worked out...I really am ready to sit in the dark in the middle of my room, wrapped in bubble wrap, rocking back and forth until the bf gets home tomorrow and save me from the world... (I am smiling as I type that...but darn what a freaking pain in the butt weekend!)

So last week I get a flat... Sun, 8 May 2011 20:23:21 EST holy smokes batman...something isn't working out right! So I don't get it...I feel like I'm sliding backwards down a slippery slope.

I took off 85lbs without any issues...I mean sure there were plateaus and such but for the most part it was a steady 2lb a week weight loss as long as I stayed on track....but I put 20lb back on and I would make a 2 or 3 pound dent and then my weight would go back up...the thing is that I'm swinging 6-10 pounds some weeks. I was 200.8 the monday before Easter weekend. I ate fine mon-wed, had a few too man... Tue, 3 May 2011 16:20:01 EST I'm deeming March as "MY MONTH" Well it's been a little bit since I blogged but fear not I have been tracking religiously and the scale is moving...slowly...but it's moving. Just checking in and sticking with my commitment to blog more and put my goals out there.

Things have been very busy lately, overwhelmingly busy lately, but emerging from the chaos I have found the time to track and to get my exercise in and to start those little baby steps that all end up adding together eventually to get me to my goal...I ... Tue, 8 Mar 2011 15:00:22 EST Progress Update - January Week 1 and 2 So after my xmas post I was terrified I would find more excuses not to get back on track...but you know what - I didn't! I started up and have been doing great. I've tracked food and fitness everyday since Jan 2, I've gotten all my workouts in - even using my lunch hour at get a workout in if I can't before or after work. Mon, 10 Jan 2011 15:30:39 EST I'm BACK for real this time- ready to take the new year by the horns Written on Dec 25th, 2010

It has been a very very long time since I have written a blog. Life changed very quickly over the last year and as it all fell into wonderful places, I've not been as dedicated to myself as I once was...weight has crept back on. I have stopped and started and had a few zillion efforts this year but what I haven't done is commit myself back to spark. It works, I know from experience it does. So this is not a new years resolution. it is my life's resolution ... Tue, 28 Dec 2010 09:56:21 EST Half Marathon...take 3! What a year of running it has been for me...this time last year I sat down and wrote my blog about my first half marathon -the nerves before that race were overwhelming...the race was surreal....I could have never predicted the year that would follow....that running would be so ingrained in my life that I can't imagine not doing it.

This half marathon would be my third...but I've also run 2 full marathons and a dozen other races between my first half last year and the one this past... Wed, 20 Jan 2010 12:21:36 EST FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT and my advice...for what's its worth!
I will probably suffer years of bad karma for posting this but SERIOUSLY I couldn't help it...really I couldn't...and if I had to witness this then so did others!

Well now I'd love to tell you I saw this on a website somewhere and thought it was funny...but NO this is a REAL picture taken with MY camera this morning while hiking (GLOBALKEEWEE can verify its authenticity!)

So here's my advice...
<... So much different than my first marathon...but hey this is number 2 this year...that makes me like a seasoned pro right? haha! Who would have thought that when I ran my first half marathon in January that this year would be all about running? I didn't even know that! If yo... Mon, 30 Nov 2009 15:50:07 EST No Bling???? found something even more motivating! YMCA Half Marathon Experience

I have been training with a running group since August. I joined their advanced program and they have been a very constant motivational force in my life through all the rough parts lately. I run with them Saturdays and then again during the week. My marathon is 2 months sooner than the one the group is training for so I get to the canal early and run 4 miles before I meet up with them and then run their schedule. This group is amazing - th... Mon, 26 Oct 2009 12:33:07 EST Tackling the BIGGEST mtn I could find...and other challenges in life! SOOOOO it has been quite some while since I have blogged has gotten in the way for a lack of better reasoning. So many people have reached out to support and motivate me I figured I should tell you all what was going on. I am not on spark quite as often and I apologize if I've not replied to a message or comment yet but know that all your words and motivation keep me going. It will be awhile before I'm able to be on here regularly again but spark is always a part of my life I'... Tue, 29 Sep 2009 16:13:46 EST 26.2 the edge of insanity and back.

San Diego Marathon
5 hrs 36 minutes
5000 calories
2 Blisters
12:50 pace.
1 lifetime of knowing that I did this!

So it's been 3 days since I ran my first full marathon and my muscles are no longer sore but are very fatigued. Each step I take and every time I sit down I am reminded that I just ran 26.2 miles. It was an incredible experience that I will never ever forget. It was hard.... Wed, 3 Jun 2009 15:42:10 EST OMG WHAT WAS I THINKING???? **GULP**

I've got my first full marathon on May 31st in San Diego in 10 days. My nerves are starting to set in. I've been training since my half marathon in January for this race. All of a sudden I'm thinking I didn't run enough, I didn't train the right way, I shouldn't have cut back on weight training, my food isn't right....all sorts of crazy things!

Today is my last day of any lengthy miles I did 6.25 before work and will do 2-3 this evening. Then a 5K saturday to h... Today I RAN ( no stopping no resting no walking) 13.1 miles! I ran an 11:44 pace in 2hrs and 33 minutes.

This weekend was nerve racking. I was out of my usual routine b/c it was a "taper" week. I was oversleeping for my morning workouts...a friend told me it was probably psychological but it was still frustratin... Mon, 19 Jan 2009 01:09:07 EST Final Run before half - this one was for ME!

23 weeks since I started training for the PF Changs half marathon. Everything I've done, all workouts have been focused on a) burning calories b) building strength and c) completing my training runs. I've followed a training program, I've run a long run on all but 1 Saturday during these 23 weeks. I've cut back my hiking and biking so that I could focus on the run. It all comes to an end this Sunday. I'm balancing bet... Thu, 15 Jan 2009 21:25:52 EST New Years Resolutions and GOALS!!!!

My TOP goal this year is that it is THE LAST YEAR I will ever have to set a goal to "loose weight!"

The rest are as follows:

Goal #1 (in progress from last year) COMPLETE the PF CHANGS half marathon on Jan 18th in under 160 minutes!
REWARD: Chipotle Burrito w/lime chips!!!! Wed, 31 Dec 2008 16:01:13 EST 10K and me!

Phoenix 10k on Sunday. Finished in about 71 minutes (still waiting on them to post exact results.) I ran between a 11:30 and an 11:45 pace by my calculations. That is 1 minute faster pace than I expected to run. It was a flat course that looped 2x around. It was a really good run for me. But I didn't think it would be that way BEFORE the run...

I was nervous. I had done a 6 mile really slow run saturday mo... Mon, 10 Nov 2008 11:35:52 EST Just an update! So nothing major going on. Just chugging away. Back on track - most days. Pita chips have my number and I have a hard time portioning and resisting. I am back to making progress, slow, but steady.

Training for the 1/2 marathon is keeping me focused and busy. Also seems to be increasing my! luckily it seems to have sparked the weight loss again. Except for a slight set-back last weekend of 2 back to back bbq's and my self-control going into hibernation for the 2 days ... Wed, 15 Oct 2008 14:08:43 EST I Need a swift kick in the backside!!!! Starting New Goal: 25lbs off by 12/18/08

I am STUCK! it's not a plateau it's me! I snack too much, even on healthy stuff, I'm not tracking regularly, I'm not watching portions, eating out too much. I'm a size 10 that's so far away from where I was before and I'm strong, I can workout for hours, I can run miles and miles, I even signed up for the half marathon in January. I am so much healthier I've become content and that's a dangerous area to be in.

So instead of look... Tue, 26 Aug 2008 13:50:04 EST My shadow realization + What I've done this year! Here is the most stupid realization I have ever had but as I was jogging this morning I looked down and go – hey my shadow’s not fat anymore! Which is funny b/c your shadow is usually longer and thinner than normal but a year ago it was still a fat shadow…now it’s just a shadow!

Today is a VERY happy Thursday for me b/c today is 365 days since I started doing this loose weight get healthy thing…So how did I celebrate? I asked to come in a little later at work and did a 7 mile run ... Thu, 5 Jun 2008 15:38:02 EST BL Weigh-in coming up... So the weigh-in for the biggest looser challenge at my gym is 2 days away. I have no idea where I will end up in the competition. I am not sure that I care and I haven't been weighing in each week w/them. At home, of course, all the time. I am nervous to see if 6 weeks really did make an impact. However the contest did keep me going and lots happened in that 6 weeks:
a)trip to vegas
b)trip to san diego
c)my b-day bbq
d)started w/a personal trainer
e)out of town trip f... Tue, 15 Apr 2008 11:02:40 EST progress/b-day blues So this weekend was good - I ran for 35 minutes straight- outside which I now prefer to the treadmill. I also mtn biked and pushed myself w/speed. Then at the gym suddenly I could do plank without being on my knees and 10 pushups on my toes not knees. It just happened - one day I couldn't the next day I could. I think I busted this plateau too. I was on a really big high last week and then boom come sunday/monday I sort of crashed...

Still eating and working out but emotionally jus... Wed, 20 Feb 2008 15:24:09 EST Gotta Change it up Ok I am getting a little frustrated...I was averaging loosing 2.1 pounds a week until x-mas. I went home for x-mas and didn't eat great but wasn't too terrible either - ran almost everyday though to offset that. Didn't gain anything but after new years the weightloss slowed and now it's creeping along. I am taking a little more drastic measures this week by lowering calories and carbs for 1-2 weeks to see if I can jumpstart everything again. I am burning 5000-7000 calories a week. I guess I s... Tue, 5 Feb 2008 14:53:40 EST Can't get stuck here this time! I am happy w/my results so far. I was able to enjoy the holidays w/the family and didn't put on any weight. I even got up Christmas morning at 5am and ran. I feel so much better about everything. I was very religous about staying at 1650 calories avg and like clockwork the weight came off 2 pounds a week. I am creeping up to 1800 a day avg now and it's slowing down the weightloss. I am burning more calories so some more calories are necessary (I'm burning between 5000-7000 a week!). I didn't ... Tue, 15 Jan 2008 17:10:20 EST More calories I have been doing ok but have to work on making sure I get enough calories. Some days I've had less than 1000 or I don't have enough in the first part of the day and end up feeling drained or w/a headache by lunch. My weight is coming off so I don't want to adjust too much. I am going to try this week to make sure I have at least 800-900 in by the end of lunch and see if that helps.

Weekend trips are going well. I am being very good to bring my own food and make smart choices at th... Fri, 29 Jun 2007 16:00:47 EST First weekend coming up So I started this on Tuesday after I returned from a trip w/friend to Disneyland. I injured my foot there and haven't been able to exercise per doc. I did well all week at work and home with my eating. This will be the first weekend and I will need to make sure I stay focused as to not loose the forward progress. I am hoping to get some light exercise in that won't aggrevate the foot. Next week I'll have to try to combine good eating w/the exercise. Fri, 15 Jun 2007 18:17:20 EST
