BOBBIKAYE's SparkPeople Blog BOBBIKAYE's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community This weekend - Feb 27 & 28 From a weight loss standpoint, this weekend was a bust. My husband and I attended two funerals and of course there was a lot of food. We ate there but I kept it down to eating just small amounts. Needless to say, we're both tired and are feeling a little drained emotionally. Sun, 28 Feb 2016 22:48:47 EST Slipped drastically Well, I've been gone for quite a while, and have drastically slipped from weight loss goals. Now, I'm hoping to come back to BLC and have the help from my teammates to get me back on track. I was doing so well; I was eating better and exercising more. Now, I'm eating terribly and not exercising nearly like I was.

When I was with the Ivory Falcons, my teammates were there, every step of the way, encouraging me and rooting for me. I really appreciated their words, and I thought I cou... Fri, 20 Feb 2015 13:02:30 EST New granddaughter To all my friends out there in Spark Land:

Just wanted to let everyone know that my new granddaughter was born on Oct. 28 at 7:55 p.m. She weighed 8 lbs., 3 oz. and was 20" long. Mom and daughter are doing great. Funny thing is Ella Marie weighed the same as my daughter when she was born. She was also half an inch smaller.

It's been a while since I've been on here and I mentioned it to a few people once I found out my daughter was going to have a baby so I thought I woul... We got to our rooms and walked around Honolulu.

The above picture was taken from our room.

We also went down to Waikiki and watched the su... Mon, 4 Feb 2013 01:56:56 EST My holiday plan It's a pretty simple plan.

I plan to continue to log in all my food and drink.

I plan to continue to using Sparkpeople videos and my nifty new elliptical to get my exercise in. If the weather is good, I plan to walk.

I plan on getting at least 7 hours of sleep each night.

I plan on walking away from any goodies that may make their way into the office unless they are freggies.
Tue, 4 Dec 2012 01:16:42 EST Staying on track during the holidays This holiday season, I plan to continue to use the SP tracker and get at least 30 minutes of exercise. I feel so much better when I exercise in the evening, and I sleep so much better when I exercise at night! I will continue walking on my lunch and I will make sure that the Christmas snacks I eat will be the good for you kind. 460 Mon, 26 Nov 2012 23:47:51 EST Movie Quote Trivia Part 4 1. “Even a poor tailor is entitled to some happiness!” ~ Pinocchio
2. Mon, 5 Nov 2012 23:55:32 EST Football in my home I had to post a short blog on football in my home. It can be quite interesting at times. My DH is a Dallas Cowboys fan. He was born and raised in Texas. He has a authentic autographed Tony Romo jersey that he got a great deal on. Until the move, it was in the living in front of the fireplace. Right now, it's in the extra bedroom. I think we may hang it up in there.

Now, on the other hand, I'm an avid Seahawks fan. I was born and raised in Washington State, and have been following t... Mon, 22 Oct 2012 11:28:06 EST A look back on my 12-week plan I printed out a copy of my 12-week plan from back in the early part of September. I noticed that in some areas I've done well and others not so well.

1. I planned to track my food intake and post it. I'm better than I have been in the past, but I know I can do better. I rededicate myself to track any and everything that passes my lips.

2. My number 2 item was to eat more fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, everyone's gardens have pretty much quit producing. However, we... Mon, 22 Oct 2012 00:46:48 EST Three of the best parts of me Here three more things I like about me:

1. I've been thinking about this and here are my goals for the next 12 weeks:

1. Track food intake everyday and post it on Sparkpeople.

2. Continue to eat more fruit and veggies. Friends who have gardens seem to overplant and they want to get rid of the excess, and I've been more than happy to take what they don't want. 30</em... Sun, 16 Sep 2012 23:55:28 EST My summer vacation It's been quite a vacation. My husband and I have been working on buying our first house. We finally found one that we liked and have put an offer on it. Now we're in the hurry-up-and-wait mode. 30

We have also went camping. We just back from the hot rod run at the end of the world in Long Beach, Washington. There were a lot of nice cars there. We camped in an RV park in nearby Ilwaco. Mon, 10 Sep 2012 22:56:23 EST My summer plan It's hard to believe that 12 weeks have gone by and we're now at the end of my first BLC. I've enjoyed this round even though I was ill for some of it. My teammates were all very supportive and caring.

Here is my plan to continue my weight loss makeover:

1. Track food intake everyday. I've been sporadic about tracking. I'll get the morning and lunch, but not so much in the evening.

2. Eat more fruit and veggies. I don't eat as many fruits and vegetables as I s... Sun, 15 Jul 2012 23:17:50 EST My vacation to Seattle and Vancouver BC Thursday ~ Our trip started out with a lot of rain. My DH and I went to meet our friends at their house, and we headed off towards Seattle. We took our time and made a few rest stops and eventually got to Seattle at about 1:00 p.m. Here the weather made a drastic turn. When we arrived, it was cloudy and we thought it was going to rain. About an hour later, it cleared up and turned out to be a beautiful day.

We went to Pike's Market and had lunch. We watched the fish throwers toss a... Wed, 30 May 2012 02:42:06 EST Fourth Journal ~ May 14, 2012 Unfortunately this weekend, I got sick and just wasn't feeling up to doing the exercises. Lightheaded and dizzy is no fun. I'm feeling better now but I'm taking it easy right now. Went to the doctor, and he thought it may be stressed related.

Tomorrow my brother, sister and I will be moving mom into the assisted living. She's pretty excited about the whole thing.

I hope everyone is having a great day. We finally got some warm weather here in the Pacific Northwest. We act... Mon, 14 May 2012 21:40:21 EST Second Journal Entry~ May 12, 2012 Today has been a slow day. I did get some housework done, and my husband and I drove by a house. We're looking to possibly buy this year. We're still undecided on that because we are close to retiring and we're torn between buying a house or motor home since we would like to travel after we retire. How's that for wishy-washy! 30

I have done a lot better eating today than I did last night. I cooked a reuben meatloaf for dinner and corn on the cob. Much better than three pi... Sat, 12 May 2012 23:01:10 EST First journal entry ~ May 11, 2012 This is my first entry for my journal. I figured I would write it on my blog page so that others could read it if they liked.

Today was a little bit of a challenge. Work was very slow, not a whole lot going on. When that tends to happen, my thoughts go in the direction of munching. But I was good, instead of looking for food, I drank water.

My husband has been very supportive in my goals to lose weight and to get in better shape. This morning, he looked at me and said t... Sat, 12 May 2012 02:27:24 EST Week 1 of BLC19 It's the end of week 1 of BLC 19, and it's been an interesting journey so far. I have discovered muscles in my body that I didn't know existed! But I must admit that I've enjoyed the exercise. It's still early yet, but I'm seeing little changes; such as, some of my clothes are fitting more loosely and I have more stamina. Best of all, my husband is noticing! He's noticed the way my clothes are fitting.

I've met some interesting people along the way. Everyone on our team is very nic... Tue, 1 May 2012 13:14:10 EST BLC 19 challenge goals Continue to post my exercise and calories into Sparkpeople everyday. I have a bad habit of not doing this.

Continue to do the exercise that our team captains send everyday.

Alternate aerobic exercises with some type of weight lifting.

Walk 30-40 minutes daily. 311

Lose 10 lbs.

41 Mon, 30 Apr 2012 12:06:47 EST
