I have been diagnosed, and know it is largely due to my work (plus some added points from my Family). I'm attempting to get through right now without medication, but that might be coming here soon. I've called in sick for the last 2 days, and am going to the doctors this afternoon to get a note so I can take the rest of the week off - to try to catch up on some sleep if nothing else.

Hubbie has been extremely supportive, and has even started t... Tue, 21 Oct 2014 13:51:51 EST Morning Gym is Dead to me I'm having a funeral. Seriously, I've been setting my alarm for 4am for almost a year. 2 years ago I got up 99% of the time, and now I think I can count on one hand how many times I got up in that year! I have become an un-morning workout person.

And that is ok. I've realized that this just means that I need to be more flexible with my schedule in the afternoon/evenings - and I get er done.

So, goodbye morning gym. I am the night. I am Evening gym girl. Sat, 18 Oct 2014 12:30:50 EST BLC 26 - Mini Goals Hi all -

I'm not going to do the fancy goals this time, because I want to try something new. (I'll be updating my sparkpage tonight, I think - add some of the World Cup pictures).

Mini goal 1 - Admit to myself that my current lifestyle isn't working, and I can make the changes I need to.

I have gained back all the weight I've lost, and I need to realize that I'm the only person who is capable of making the changes that are needed to get back to where I want ... Although wishes and dreams are nice, they usually don’t come true without a written plan of action.

My Goal:
I need to start slowly doing things for myself again. This week I have given myself a goal to just do something for me that takes 15 minutes (I've done it 2 days in a row now). I also wish to state a goal of losing 10lbs on BLC ch... Thu, 16 Jan 2014 10:35:30 EST 24/7/365 - Blog Hi all, I have not been doing too well these days. My mind has been on everything except myself, and I have just not been 'with it'. Even the good habits I've been keeping up the last year have started to slide. In short, I think I'm just... done.

I'm struggling with keeping afloat in a life full of other people's problems and they are starting to cause depression and anxiety. EAT ALL THE GOOD FOODS!!!

Just kidding. What a plan that would be! Any who, I am once again On Call this weekend, starting tonight - and sadly do not have a lot of food in the house. Hubbie did the grocery shopping while I was away on vacation - so I'm going to go to the store at some point tomorrow and pick up some meals. So I don't have much of a plan in the way of WHAT I'm eating, but here is the PLAN.

1. Go grocery shopping, and only get... I was a part of the "Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen", and out of 156 items the teams were assigned (15 people around the world on a team, but mine kind of sucked) I did 31. I went a bit crazy and had the best time of my life. Remember, everything you see here was done in 7 days (videos could only be a max of 30 seconds) <BR... Fri, 4 Oct 2013 09:34:31 EST Taking a moment for a life update So, now that I'm starting to get back into the Spark Swing (I logged on first thing this morning and planned out my meals using the tracker, and I feel so much better for having that done), I thought it was time to do some free typing on my life this past year.

Almost 1 year ago, my families life was turned completely upside down - which in turn kept me trying to keel the boat. Sat, 15 Sep 2012 08:55:39 EST 4 years later, Jenn goes to Court My Monday sucked - just as I'm sure yours did. But mine sucked for a different reason. I had to go to court as a Witness to a First Degree Murder Trial.

4 years ago, my next door neighbour was murdered. His wife found his body, and immediately ran into the closest house (ours) - grabbed me, and told me he was still breathing. With the exception of camping this past weekend, I’ve been pretty proud of my choices – the scale still isn’t getting it, and after my ankle accident (I’ve been off running for 2 weeks now)... I guess I understand why. Just keep chugging away, and I’ve been using my recumbent bike – so I’m not too overly worried about the exercise portion of things.

For a while now, I’ve been a part-time vegetarian. ... Wed, 25 Jul 2012 16:15:08 EST Rough Week... not very good Diet Wise either. This was a ROUGH Week. You know, one of those weeks where fate just jumps up and bites you right on the rump? I was so excited to spend some quality time with my brother, who was visiting for the Calgary Stampede (he was in the parade with the Armed Forces) - and then it happened.

I work for Alberta Health Services, and we suddenly went to Panic Level 5... it was as close to a natural disaster (without the natural disaster, that is) as I've ever seen in my years there.

... Mon, 16 Jul 2012 22:17:54 EST Difficult Life Choice This Weekend... BEWARE... this is a diary blog. I’m just writing to write out my feelings.

My family has never been a big believer in ‘family comes first’. I do not have a lot of family left, as by the age of 18 I had already been to over 8 funerals. As my Mom and Dad had me later in life (+35), many of my cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles were well into their lives by the time I was old enough to get to know them. Many of my living relatives can go years without seeing each other,... Wed, 4 Jul 2012 12:36:28 EST It's Been A Long Time, Since I Rock n Rolled... Wow, it seriously has been that long since I've blogged! Even just a quick pop on - nothing, Jenn? Well, catch up time I guess.

I'm doing GREAT - things are going really well with my healthy lifestyle right now. Mon, 11 Jun 2012 19:33:23 EST VLOG 3 - with a special treat for BLC ADMIN (MEL) Video Blog was terminated by myself due to a set of the 'Giggles' coming on - not due to the Marshmallows... but I actually forgot part of the lyrics to my own Anthem. Sun, 10 Jun 2012 17:33:19 EST Found an Old Friend Today... SWEAT I haven't been missing, Sparkies. I've been logging in most days, tracking my food (on the weekdays anyways), and getting in my fitness minutes - but I have definitely been in a rut. I didn't even know I was in a rut until I had 4 runs scheduled this week - and EVERY single one of them, I didn't want to do.

Don't get me wrong - I did them. And HATED every second up until I actually hit the pavement - then felt better, and just assumed it was 'one of those days'.

But I... Fri, 8 Jun 2012 17:42:11 EST Pop goes the Bad Habit. Once upon a time, like in December 2011/January 2012, Jenn was training for her first Full marathon and decided to cut out Alcohol and Pop before hand. This was not easy - in fact, it was REALLY hard around Christmas/New Years. But it seemed like a good idea and I just did it.

The evening after the Marathon I had a few beers, some champagne, etc. However, I had decided that I would keep the No Pop thing up for as long as possible.

I think I made it another 24 hours, b... Tue, 27 Mar 2012 10:28:12 EST Feeling a little down today Not going to lie - I'm being a bit of a hipocrite today. I've been up weight for a couple of weeks now, and it is really starting to 'weigh' me down. I went over 6 months staying the same weight within 3lbs, and all of a sudden I gained 8lbs, and couldn't find a reason. For the first little while I just took it, but now I can see that I'm falling into some bad habits again eating wise.

Exercise wise, I'm mostly doing the same as always. Staircase 1, Jenn 0 I just started my first On Call shift since being back... it went alright last night - 2 pages that I couldn't do anything about, but at least they weren't emergencies. The crappy thing is that I was just starting to cook when the pager went off the first time last night.

So with a sigh, I turned off the BBQ, grabbed the BBQ lighter and took the first step up the concrete staircase to the house.

And promptly slipped and fell straight on my left hand... the hand that 2... Tue, 13 Mar 2012 10:04:41 EST Update on myself Well, I'm back in Calgary. The week in Mexico was amazing, but boy was I glad to get home to hubbie. I'm still healing from my sunburn, and there are a few places where the peeling is so bad I think I did some serious damage - but it is slowly healing with lots of lotion and drinking water. Hopefully no scarring, but I guess I'll find out later on. Fingers crossed.

While I did gain a substantial amount over the week, it is slowly dropping off with proper eating. People breaking things in my Program (sometimes in error... at least one done intentionally), nurse and doctors unhappy, and my boss and I running around putting out at least 1 or 2 wildfires. I attempted to make things a bit better on Valentine's Day by pranking a coworker - and while the day did 'lighten the mood' around the office, the next day I came back to fighting and all out anarchy again.
