BIG_M12's SparkPeople Blog BIG_M12's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Week 12 Hey Everyone,

This past week honestly sucked in terms of getting some exercise minutes in. I was pretty busy doing bathroom renovations, working extra hours, and Mayhem Festival. And when I did have some free time I was pretty lazy and didn't want to do anything. That being said I did somehow lose weight this week and I am back down to 218 pounds. I managed to get in 260 minutes of cardio through soccer, painting, and walking; however, I only managed 60 minutes of strength training... Mon, 15 Jul 2013 08:41:10 EST Happy Birthday Canada! Hey Everyone,

Well I meant to post this last night on here but forgot. As mentioned previously, I started a blog on google blogger ... come follow me :)

As I write this Canada's Day is drawing to a close. It was another fun filled weekend that involved a cottage, fireworks, BBQ, and a baptism for my best friend's baby. I didn't weigh myself this morning as I was away from my usually scale (and I probably over ate this weeken... Tue, 2 Jul 2013 08:25:25 EST A new challenge Hey Everyone,

It looks like I forget to post my Week 8 blog. I have another site that I just copy and past from - google blogger (
). Come on over and follow me.

I'm done my second challenge (burn 20,000 calories in 4 weeks) and I must say if it wasn't for that baseball and soccer tournament I probably wouldn't have made it. Oh and we won that soccer tourney; woo champions! Anyways, I burned about 21,000 calories over the pas... Mon, 24 Jun 2013 12:09:44 EST Week 7 Hey everyone,

As I wrote the title of this post I was thinking to myself 'Week 7? Is that right?' I had to check my calendar to make sure but yeah I am entering the third week of my second challenge for myself and therefore 50% of my overall timeline is complete. I am not where I want to be weight wise (my goal was 216 lbs) but I do feel stronger overall and I have made some great improvements in other areas over the one and a half months of training.

This past week was ... Mon, 10 Jun 2013 12:28:19 EST Week 6 Hey everyone,

Well 5000 calories burned was surprising easily to reach. I accomplished it through 2 yoga classes, a soccer game, and running 15 km total. I dropped a pound from last week (although it could have been more if I didn't indulge in some all you can eat sushi and Marble Slab ice cream haha). I did make some significant improvements in my other measurements over the month as well. I started last month with a body fat % of 33.9 and after a month it is down to 32.9. Here ar... Mon, 3 Jun 2013 08:15:20 EST Challenge Accepted Hey everyone,

This past week was pretty crappy for me. After the long weekend I felt pretty lazy and did not do nearly enough exercise. Once I did I ended up straining my chest muscle - yes just one not both. Oh well, the week wasn't too terrible and it ended on a high note ... my friend's wedding on Saturday. I managed to control myself food wise but I got a little tipsy and danced up a storm haha.

Well the first challenge is complete, and overall I am down 3.4 pounds ... Mon, 27 May 2013 11:55:13 EST Week 4 Hello everyone,

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend. Week 3 officially ended yesterday but due to my location I couldn't post an update - no internet access! Anyways this past weekend was pretty eventful - we watched Star Trek Into Darkness, spent a day at Great Wolf Lodge, ate at The Keg Embassy Suites and than spent the past two days in Muskoka relaxing on dock and jumping into a cold lake.

I suck at writing reviews so I am going to keep the next part short - S... Tue, 21 May 2013 08:29:40 EST Week 3 Hello everyone,

With week 2 being over, I have completed 50% of my first challenge. It was another good week for me - we won the first soccer game 4-1, I managed to get in between 7-8 hours of sleep each night, and I dropped 1.2 pounds. My week over week change should have been higher but I definitely had way too many sweets on Mother's Day. I hope everyone had a wonderful and successful week as well.

My new goals for this week:

- Push ups to failure. I would ... Mon, 13 May 2013 08:07:48 EST Week 2 Hey everyone,

Well Week 1 is over and it was a pretty successful week I would say. Yoga was fun and exciting, however, kick boxing is no longer available at that yoga studio. I was looking forward to it as it was something new and it was disappointing but I didn't let that stop me from exercising. I ended going home and doing a 5 km run instead. I finished in 36 minutes. I also did a boot camp on Thursday which was pretty good as it was mostly upper body exercises.

I got... Mon, 6 May 2013 08:34:25 EST Happy May Day Hey everyone,

It's May 1st and this is the third day of the first 28 day challenge I made for myself. I have been doing pretty good; so far I have tried a Level 2 Shape/Intermediate yoga class and a Level 3 Strength/Expert yoga class. Both have been pretty amazing and fun to do, however, I found the Level 2 more difficult to do. Anyways, the yoga studio I signed up with has kickboxing classes so I am going to do that tonight and I am looking forward to it.

As for the oth... Wed, 1 May 2013 21:55:01 EST Yoga Time Today is the first day of my first challenge for myself. As previously mentioned, my first four-week challenge is to try something new. I picked up a groupon for a three-month yoga membership and I am going to try to go 3-4 times a week plus my usual soccer on Tuesday. I have taken a few Yoga classes in the past but I am still very much a beginner.

So lets start off with some background info. I am 27 years old, male and I currently weigh 226 pounds with a body fat percentage of 34.... Mon, 29 Apr 2013 06:33:55 EST It's 5:15 AM and I can't sleep! Ok so I woke up at 3:30 AM today to pee and now I can’t go back to sleep – work is going to suuuuuuuck today! Maybe I can’t sleep because I have been thinking about my weight loss and how it has stalled on me in the past couple of months. I haven’t been gaining but I haven’t really been losing the weight. The last time I lost weight was when I actually tracked myself and was accountable for it (I just heard my girlfriend say I told you so!)

Anyways, I decided to help myself and mak...
