I'm trying to "tone up" & have worked hard since last November, but my measurements haven't changed in 2 months. On Monday, the scale said I had lost a little over a pound over the weekend & I was excited because I stayed within my calorie range, but no exercise. I went to the gym on Monday & worked hard, again stayed within my calorie range, but today when I stepped on the scale, I had gained that pound back. I just don't get it !!! Did my usual hour of cardio, then my weight workout, but I then added something new - I went to the pool at the gym & did some swimming. I only swam for 15 minutes, and couldn't believe how wonderful it felt. It was great for my shoulder problem, and I was surprised at how well I did without getting tired. Just a note to myself to remind "me" that I need to stop eating candy. I developed a craving a couple of days ago & made the mistake of giving in & buying some candy. The only saving grace is the fact that I was 2 lbs. below my goal weight, so I didn't get hurt much, but I have to admit that I feel tired and down. I finally have use of my right arm again, and went back to the gym and some "light" weights, after a week. I have never had bursitis before, but have never had anything hurt so bad !! I got a cortisone shot last Monday, but it took 3 days to work well enough for the pain to subside some. All I wanted to do was get off the pain pills. I don't like taking anything like that.
