I ran the Hertford Trailblazers 5K this morning. It was about 70 degrees and raining. The race went well. The race course had to be changed because of construction delays on the original course. The new course that we ran was not exactly 3.1 miles ....my garmin said 2.88 miles. The race director thought it was short because of the times. Stuff like this happens. <BR> They had a great turn out. The total participants were 33 people. Everyone got a f... I have signed up for a 5K race in my home town but they aren't having very many entries. I hope that it works out. Sat, 8 Sep 2007 10:48:30 EST Longest Run AGAIN!!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=519936 Yesterday I ran 7.5 miles in 1:19:52. That time includes waiting for traffic lights, quick water break at the library and I had to take a dog back to its pen because it broke out to come and run with me. Besides one little blister on each foot near my pad I felt great afterwards. I was alittle tired but not bad. If not for the blisters I would have continued to run. I didn't want to make it where I couldn't run the rest of the week. Well I am trying to keep the mileage up and I need ... Wed, 18 Apr 2007 08:38:05 EST Longest run yet!! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=456872 Well on March 5,2007 I ran 6.3 miles in 1:05:53. I am sooo happy. I didn't even feel tired in the end. Must have been too excited. I am running my first 8K in 11 days. I feel that I have trained well and hope to run it in a 10 min mile or under. I ran a 9:23 mile in my last 5K. This will be my first "BIG" run. My 5K is only about 60 people. This run is a lot more...Like 1,000-5,000. I am not sure. The half-marathon for this race is sold out with 6,000 people. Wed, 7 Mar 2007 10:07:10 EST
