It's not a ton but I'll take it. It's amazing how keeping up with your weight really helps to hold you accountable. It's so fun to watch the scale go down. Fri, 23 Mar 2012 16:52:52 EST Pics of my 5.5 mile hike We had a really good time and I met some awesome people! This was in Southern Indiana. The weather was perfect 65 sunny and breezy! There were huge hills to climb and my heart beat was racing! I got in a good sweat too! By the end of my day my Body Media Device said I had walked over 17,800 steps for the day and burned over 3500 calories. I was introduced to some really cool hiking trails just minutes from my home last week so today I went back and took some pictures. I went with my son and his friend. We got a good sweat and walked 4,500 steps and then topped it off by playing at the park...but I forgot to take pictures of the park! We hiked for about 50 minutes and had a good time! Well this is a year of change and I'm doing it all in a positive way! I joined TOPS last Tues with my Aunt. We are going to be doing a competition with ourselves, where we track our weight lost on a map. I picked my destination to be Key West, FL. I'll have more details next week, but I thought it would be neat to see how many miles I can "lose" per week. Even if it's a 1/4 lb, that might be 20 miles...which is better than nothing! Today I made homemade lemon sugar body scrub, Merry Berry Granola (it is SO good), and I also made coffee facial scrub-sounds weird but it smells so wonderful! OK so I've just got the book Body for Life and I decided I'm going to work that plan. I like that it's broken down into 3 phases. I counted calories and I actually stayed under 1800! I ate about 1565!! Woo hoo! I'm SO excited! I ate smaller meals at meal times and I still got to snack quite a bit doing it that way.
