(again) I couldn't believe it when I stepped on the scale this morning! I lost 1 pound each of the last 2 days to make my goal weight 4 days before my birthday! I really need to make sure that I stay good and don't gain it back. This time seems different. I hope it is. I feel more in control of my eating and my exercise is more consistent. I used to look at exercise as a way to get to my goal weight. Now I look at it as a way to stay healthy, prevent heart disease (it runs in my family), impro... Thu, 4 Mar 2010 18:35:23 EST Halloween Happenings For some reason I've been on a real roller coaster lately. I'll be good for awhile then I'll relax and gain weight then I'll get back on track then I'll gain weight. You get the picture. I'm 6.5 pounds over my goal weight of 135 as of this morning. I had joined a challenge to be at goal by Halloween and was actually within 2 pounds 2 weeks ago. It would have been fairly simple to lose 2 pounds in over 3 weeks. That is NOT a good thing after reaching my goal of 135 and trying to maintain it. I know exactly when it started creeping back on too. My younger son had a friend over and they were playing in the yard and I was feeling pretty good about everything. Well, I've been enjoying the new season of Biggest Loser and I am an honorary member of the Cranberry team for the fall challenge. I was determined to get my last chance workout today before weigh in tomorrow. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to do anything until after work when it was pouring down rain. It seemed to clear up a little after dinner, so I set off. It began raining a few minutes after leaving the house. However, it is still fairly warm here in the Pacific Northwest so I... Wed, 24 Sep 2008 23:38:12 EST Grrrr... Yesterday there were donuts in the break room. Today there are cookies! They are really big and full of chocolate chips. I almost reached out and grabbed one without even thinking about it. However, I realized what I was doing and I DID think about it and I walked on by. I bring my food from home and I know if I eat anything extra, I'll be over on calories and I'm still trying to lose the last pound and a half I gained over the weekend. As of right now, a great big cookie is on my list ... Wed, 10 Sep 2008 15:13:11 EST Surviving the holidays... The last time I weighed was 7/3 and I was 141. I left around 2pm for a cabin at the lake and would be back Sunday afternoon. My daughter-in-law organized the trip and I was assigned a lasagna for 14 people Saturday night, bottled water, fruit salad, fruit, bread, sandwich meat, etc. I also brought my cereal and let everyone know that I would not be eating the bacon and eggs due to my high cholesterol.
