Tue, 5 Feb 2013 00:14:12 EST Birthday Reflections Today is my birthday! I love my birthday, when I was in high school I read a book "So Little Time" about a man with cancer. I learned that birthdays are all about the person you become because of all the people in your life. It is a celebration of all the parts of them that they shared to make me ME. I am incredibly grateful to have so many wonderful "parts" from my family, friends, mentors and all the amazing kids in my life.

Today I brought treats for all the kids at school (... Tue, 8 Jan 2013 22:21:38 EST Kitchen Step 1 The first week of One Year to an Organized Life was journaling and basic kitchen chores (keep the sink empty, empty the dishwasher immediately, and wipe down the counters). Since I was on vacation I also painted the wood trim in my kitchen, reorganized the pantry and throughly cleaned the floors (nooks and crannies). I hope to do a drawer or cupboard each day next week.

This week was about getting a calendar-which I am already pretty good at.

I really am seeing the... Sun, 6 Jan 2013 01:02:58 EST One Year to an Organized Life I am reading One Year to an Organized Life by Regina Leeds and realizing how much my organizational journey and my fitness journey have in common and seem parallel. When I am taking care of my wellness my house is cleaner. I thought this was because I have more energy, but I am now thinking it's deeper than that.

Today I did a deep cleaning of the bathroom and kitchen, yesterday was the living room. Tue, 25 Dec 2012 01:54:17 EST My issues I have to admit I am struggling with some "issues" at work (which is an elementary school)

I'm tired of the gun control v. gun rights discussions. I just want everyone to take a minute to mourn the loss of human life.

I'm tired of people that don't work with kids trying to tell me how things should be run IE: every school should have weapons trained staff and weapons on hand. I haven't been able to run at lunch this week. Seems like things are working against me right now. Monday-oldest son's dr apt ran long. Tuesday-daughter needed help with her computer to take an online test for her new job Wednesday-youngest son came home sick from school.

Positive thinking:
Tomorrow everything is going to go my way....I am going to run 2.5 miles at my lunch break! Wed, 28 Nov 2012 22:04:02 EST Fire with Fire

Sometimes I need to be reminded of this! Tue, 27 Nov 2012 21:25:45 EST Scale showdown There was a scale in my mom inlaws bathroom. I stared at it for a long time. We have a difficult relationship (it's complicated :) should I do it? I have made progress, but do I want to measure it this way? Will it derail me?? How will I feel after??

So after much internal debate I decided not to. I don't want to measure my progress that way. This wellness journey is about much more than a number for me.

Mon, 26 Nov 2012 23:56:02 EST When will I learn? Headache, tummy ache, icky feeling.
I ate too much junk!
My body hates it when I do that.
I need to listen to it. Mon, 5 Nov 2012 23:14:11 EST This Week! Last week I had some problems with a co-worker. She called it a miscommunication. I call it NO (nada, nil, zip a complete absence of) communication and the the "fresh hell" arrived in the form of a fax that says she is going to be a temporary lead of the building March-June. I guess no bad deed goes unrewarded.

This week I will continue to be my most professional. I am VERY good at my job and I love it. I have to believe that fate will sort this out. UGH!

Sun, 4 Nov 2012 00:35:38 EST Happiness is a choice! A co-worker was talking about a documentary that she watched called "Happy". It said 50% of our happiness is genetics, 10% circumstance and 40% was a choice. I wish we controlled more, but I'll make that 40% work for me!

Happy goals
I will love myself
I will take care of this body
I will choose to be happy

Wish me was a brutal week at work!
Fri, 2 Nov 2012 19:49:18 EST
