BALLERINA2009's SparkPeople Blog BALLERINA2009's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Sunday Time changes make me so groggy :(
I need to walk the dog now, then off to the gym I plan to do intervals today, not the regular class, since am not that super worried about my technique for the test. I have it pretty solid, but I need to work on my conditioning.
I am going to have some breakfast after walking the dog, maybe some mocha or something and fruit. 30 Sun, 11 Mar 2012 11:20:22 EST Today Woke up a little cranky today, most likely due to the last night's carb loading 334
I was on the phone with my dad for a while, then went for my jog with the dog.
Now I am supposed to go to spinning class, then come home and finally do some work. I am really praying that it will be a good workout, I really need a kick in the butt these days, because I tend to be a little lazy and my energy level is not good.
I did a small/normal breakfast, then had an orange after th... Wed, 24 Feb 2010 13:46:51 EST * Normal breakfast

Spinning at 12

Big healthy lunch, plus quesadillas and a salad for snack and lots of crackers

Mood: depressed Mon, 1 Feb 2010 20:46:59 EST Tips from Gunnar Peterson 1. It isn’t about what you’re doing, it’s about how hard you’re working! Always ask yourself: Am I working as hard as I can be? There’s a guy at the gym who gets on the StairMaster every day, and I can always tell when he gets to the financial section—he slows down. If you’re able to read the paper, you probably aren’t working hard enough. People think, for example, that the elliptical machine isn’t an effective form of cardio, but it can be—anything can be. When you’re on the elliptical mach... Wed, 27 Jan 2010 13:44:34 EST To the large woman eating Cheetos at the gym's bar. Today I went to the gym, armed with good intentions,a crisp white towel and a smile. I signed up for my favorite spinning class and headed to the bar to buy a bottle of one of those taurine-packed diet drinks. I have long vowed to quit that $ 2.99 unhealthy habit of mine for a long time, but I realize that I have developed a psychological dependency to the drink, without which I would not be able to make it through the class.
As I approached the bar, I noticed a rather rotund lady munch... Fri, 6 Nov 2009 18:16:13 EST My dad and me I just got off a phone call with my dad. In the last two years we have been talking almost daily for thirty-forty minutes at a time, like two friends at a dinner table, despite the fact that he lives in Europe and I live on the West Coast of the United States.

We talk about life, politics, and the world, sometimes we exchange impressions about the last book we have read. If somebody had told me fifteen years ago that I would become my dad’s best buddy, I would have laughed in his f... Wed, 4 Nov 2009 13:51:44 EST Rollerblading I went rollerblading on the beach path. It was the first time for me on skates since last year. I skated for more than an hour, and I was literally DYING. I did not remember it being so physically demanding! Once I got home I got asleep on the counch for 15 minutes. I guess the combination of very bright sun and the mental work of scanning the ground for holes/obstacles and making sure I did not fall or stumble really took the toll on me. But it was good. I am hoping to go back this week end.... Thu, 29 Oct 2009 23:17:25 EST Four sugar donuts It's 9.30 pm and I just had four sugar coated doughnuts. I was supposed to go play tennis with my poor husband and instead I chose to veg out on the couch and eat those four donuts. They were pretty good... Tue, 27 Oct 2009 00:35:42 EST Changes to come? No thanks.... Today things have started moving in the right direction. I am very scared and I do not know if I am ready to leave the status quo I am in for a new life and new routine. I know things need to change, it is time to grow up and take responsibility. But part of me cannot help but think that taking a job like that would deprive me of the time I need to cultivate my true passions, and it would only be for not a lot of money, and definitely not a great career opportunity. Every day I realize more a... Thu, 22 Oct 2009 22:30:35 EST Fat days This is so F^%$#@ frustrating!!
I work my butt off at the gym, which I really DO NOT enjoy, I eat clean and controlled, and just because I eat a chocolate bar in a moment of weakness I gain 2 lbs. I feel terrible today.
I know it is childish, I should get over the way my butt looks, but fat days are awful, and today is one of them.
Fri, 9 Oct 2009 16:35:29 EST
