Time flies! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4976098 I can't believe we are half way through summer already! I have been very good about logging my food, with the exception of a week's vacation we took to MO. I didn't even remember until Wednesday that I hadn't been logging. Overall, I gain 1 pound for the week. That's great considering I had no accountability for the whole week. I'm back on track now and am seeing progress. I decided to do phase 1 of the South Beach diet to get a handle on my carb cravings. I am half way through week 2 ... Wed, 18 Jul 2012 12:11:26 EST Bicycling is a pain in the "you know where"! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=4936237 So, because my calf strain is putting the kabosh on walking and jogging, I pulled out the old tank, aka, my daughter's bike. The dogs are a bit scary. Only one has actually come out into the road and chased me. Talk about adrenalin rush! <... Thu, 21 Jun 2012 12:27:02 EST The Dreaded Health Screening a.k.a. I sat in a hot room, rapidly expending my deodorant for the day, and had my BMI, BP, Cholesterol and Glucose checked. Overall, my impression was "It could be worse." But the reality check was this. My BMI was .1% from being morbidly obese! Talk about a bucket of cold water in the face! I have always considered myself a little "chunky"; not as heavy as I could be, but not a stick either. But as I traveled through my 30... BUT, I still overdo it on the weekends! I work all week, logging my food, packing my lunch, avoiding soda and artificial sweetners. I lose a couple of pounds and BAM, in two days I pack it all back on again! <BR> <BR> Well, no more! This weekend I stuck with my plan, allowed myself one larger meal on Sunday, and came out of the weekend .4 pounds less than on Friday morning! (Yes, I weight m... Appetite is your desire for or interest in food. Hunger is your need for food. I tend to eat because of my appetites instead of my needs. Like many people, I am an emotional eater. If I am having an emotion, I eat. Anger, boredom, frustration, guilt, happiness, or relief. Food is my coping mechanism, my reward system, my comfort zone. <BR> <BR> My head under...
