ATROXSILENTIUM's SparkPeople Blog ATROXSILENTIUM's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community No weigh-in and excuses So I've had almost a whole week pass me by with no exercise.. AND horrible eating. Desert at restaurants at least twice, wine, HALF a pizza (at least it was "small").. Didn't track at all.

Yesterday was the first day I ate within my calorie range and tracked it. No exercise though.

On top of losing my Pop-pop and my job this week, I also had one of the worst TOM's ever. Cramps like you wouldn't believe and I felt very sluggish and anemic. So those are my excuses. B... Wed, 29 Jul 2009 09:29:09 EST How this week feels.. I normally just blog each week about weight, but some HUGE things have taken place and I feel I should write about the emotional things in my life.

Last Friday I was notified that I would be laid off at the end of the month.. it was my "two week notice". While it is a little scary and I'm concerned about what I am going to do about health insurance, I have hated this job since I got it 3 or 4 years ago and have been searching for something better ever since. I'm viewing it as a "... Tue, 21 Jul 2009 09:38:37 EST Week 9 I am officially beginning to get discouraged. Scale said 136 this morning. I gained 3 pounds!? Give me a break. That thing is begging to be thrown out the window.

I DID have a cheat day on Saturday, but it was around 2,000 calories and I hiked for almost 3 miles even though it was my "day off". I don't know where I'm going wrong. For now, I'm bumping up the exercise to 60 minutes a day, 5 days a week. If I can't work that in, I'm making sure that I'm burning at least 2500 ca... Thu, 16 Jul 2009 11:38:13 EST Week 8 I weighed in yesterday morning at 136! GAH! This morning I re-weighed myself and the scale said 133. I knew this going in, but now I'm convinced that relying on the scale for signs of progress is the wrong way to go.. at least for me. Anyway.. I'll assume I'm probably in the range of 134.

People at work refer to me as "skinny" now. :P One of the older women keeps saying she's so jealous of my "flat as a board" stomach. haha! I tell her I've been working hard, but it's the simp... Fri, 10 Jul 2009 09:03:43 EST Week 7 Weigh-in this morning: back to 135. At least it's not another gain.

During the week I bought No More Trouble Zones and a copy of "Making the Cut". Haven't cracked open the book yet, but I love NMTZ.

I know I need to start getting in 5 hours of exercise per week, but I will have to re-organize my schedule to make that a possibility. I hate spending 40 minutes excercising when I get home from work because I only have the evenings with FH as it is, I can't imagine trying... Thu, 2 Jul 2009 10:15:11 EST Week 6 Weigh in yesterday: GAINED a pound! Double-checked this morning in case it was water retention or something, but nope.. definitely up a pound.

While I certainly didn't want to see that, it makes me aware that I need to kick it up a notch. I did still lose a half inch on my hips and a half inch on my waist.

Positives of the week: I started Couch to 5k with the fiancé! He's actually fairly committed and it's a lot more fun to jog with him than without. It's rather ni... Fri, 26 Jun 2009 09:34:18 EST Week 5 Weigh in this morning: I'm definitely on the big line! 135! I can read it standing up! haha

So that's 5 pounds in 5 weeks! Not too shabby. I'm still off of the "goal line" in the reports though.. but since my goal is actually 5 lbs more than I actually expect to lose by October, I don't mind.

I lost just a half inch at my waist, but I can definitely see a difference in my tummy area. I no longer have to "suck it in" to hid a gut.. it's just not there! I also put o... Thu, 18 Jun 2009 09:28:05 EST Week 4 I can't believe I've been at this for a month already!

Weigh-in this morning: I'm definitely down to at least 137. Having not lost that pound last week, I'm rounding up - I may be at 136.

I can't wait for 135.. the weight I will be able to actually read on the scale :P

Measurements went down about a half inch, except for waist - I think I must have measured wrong last week. It's still lower than the week before that, so I'm good. Overall, I feel better, my... Thu, 11 Jun 2009 08:39:59 EST Week 3 Weigh-in this morning showed what LOOKED to be the same weight. Holding steady at 138.. from what I can tell. I probably won't be SURE of my weight until I hit 135 and can tell that the needle is on the BIG line that I can actually see from a standing position :P

No worries with the weight.. although now in my weigh-in report, there's a red "goal" line that I'm now not in line with. I've been eating within my calorie range, but I need to step it up to higher quality foods. Fitt... Thu, 4 Jun 2009 08:55:14 EST Week 2 Weigh-in this morning: Looks like I lost 1 lb-ish and maybe a half inch off of my hips.

My work slacks which were becoming anything BUT slack are fitting much better now. I don't have to strain to get them buttoned or have to admire a muffin top in the mirror before work anymore. Victory!

I got the Jillian Michaels DVDs in the mail over the weekend and I've done BFBM once (almost killed me, but I actually made it all the way through with a few breathers) and Level 1 ... Thu, 28 May 2009 13:52:59 EST Week 1 So, my first week on SP! According to my not-quite-accurate and not easy to read scale, I've lost 1 pound! I've also lost inches off my waist and hips!

I ordered 30 day shred and Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism and they should be arriving on Friday. I hope to challenge myself by working out everyday. I kind of coasted along this first week as far as working out - doing routines I knew I could complete without much trouble. Hopefully, the new workouts will be enough of a change to e... Thu, 21 May 2009 09:57:36 EST All good things to come.. Last Saturday, my fiancé and I set the date for our wedding! July 18, 2010 is the big day. I am absolutely in love with the venue we booked and couldn't be happier. The wedding day will be exactly 1 year and 3 months from the day of our engagement - April 18.

Beyond wedding planning (and dreaming.. mostly dreaming) we're saving to purchase our first home soon after we return from our honeymoon. We should be well on our way to having a full 20% down payment saved by the time we retu... Fri, 15 May 2009 14:56:28 EST
