I can come up with almost any excuse not to workout. The main reason is just because I'm lazy or I get down in the dumps & the last thing I want to do is workout... when in all reality working out would get me out of that slump and into a good mood. I am so glad I have my husband to push me to go to the gym when I really don't want to because I always feel better that I went in the end. I'm in a better mood. My husband has been doing it for a few years and I never understood how anyone could workout so hard to the point where they were going to lose their lunch. I started Crossfit back in June... Other times, it comes as easy as going shopping! A coworker of mine told me that one of the local stores was having great sales, so I stopped down after work to check it out. So, I've come to the conclusion that although it's good to have a weight goal to obtain, it is equally as important to have a workout goal to meet. So, for this week I have set my goal to do cardio 5 days a week and strength training 3 days & I knew if I stuck to it during my work week, I would be less likely to fail with the weekend. Sat, 23 May 2009 11:11:45 EST The benefits of breaking up your cardio... Wow... how quickly workout minutes add up when you break it up throughout the day. I did 73 minutes of cardio today!!! I spent 30 minutes during my lunch break walking around town at a fast pace. It was great therapy, too, because boy was I having a stressful day. Tue, 19 May 2009 20:13:00 EST Boot Camp Day 3 I wanted to get my 30 minutes of cardio in, so like yesterday, I worked out during my lunch break at work (I failed to mention that I did that in my last blog)... I walked 2 miles in 35 minutes on the treadmill and was exhausted by the end of it today... Did I mention I only got 2 hours of sleep last night? Tue, 6 Jan 2009 20:05:41 EST Boot Camp Day 2 Whew... what a challenge! I incorporated today's video into my circuits... This made it even more challenging and made my workout very long! I did it twice through. I can't say I was a fan of the single leg squats, but I could feel the results imediately! I got on the treadmill after my workout (as usual), but was able to push myself to run a full 30 minutes (a new goal met for me). Wed, 11 Jun 2008 07:42:33 EST My Wedding Dress So, every so often (when I feel like I'm having a good day), I will put my wedding dress on and see how much bigger it has gotten on me... I'm really hoping to get the reaction from the seamstress (when it comes time to have it alterred) that I bought a dress that's way too big for me!!!
