Dad and i stayed at the hospital last night...likely will again tonight. Theres a bit of good news..first off shes pulled out of the downward spiral and her vital signs have evened out for now. Her kidney specialist believes her body started to shut down because her blood pressure had dropped very low, apparently there are two types of kidney failure, the type that there is no cure for and the kind cause by low blood pressure and the organs shutting down. Today was my first workout in about 2 months felt amazing! Covered a bit more than 6 miles in about 30 was soooo nice to break a sweat! My mom is in bad health and ive been taking her to all of her doctors appointments but we try to make it fun by going to lunch together too or or both! Ive been keeping up on my workouts and my eating too. Today I weighed in for the first time in a while cause my scale was on the fritz but im proud to announce ive lost 51 lbs since Christmas!!! This week i wore a pair of jeans i havent fit into in 2 years and broke the 400 mile mark for the year so far! Ive been riding about 30 minutes at a pace of around 14 mph and feel really good! Im kind of nervous that ill mess up my hip again and im sure i will be for a while because that sucked!!!! Lol! But im just taking it easy and keeping at my eating and 30 minutes is much much better than no minutes! Well as normal as i can manage anyway lol :p..ive been slowly working up time on my bike this week and im finally up to 30 minutes at between a 12 and 14 mph pace but somehow never just 13 lol! ( my bike included!) i had to take an extra week off cause i majorly messed up my hip..majorly. But im all good now! I started off slow tonight with just 15 minutes or so and it was almost 4 miles.. broke a sweat and it felt amazing! My hip is still good after which also feels amazing! Good news..he is so happy with my weight loss and dedication to getting fit! The bad news..i strained a tendon and have to wait one more week before i can work out again. Blarg! But all is well.. got a shot of anti inflamitory and meds to help the pain and im gonna stay right on top of my eating so i dont lose any ground and do some light toning work! Lol okay ya'll...i made the mistake of overtraining for back and hip were just getting worse and worse so i took 2 days off..this is day 2. Doing alot better than i was 2 days ago and im gonna refigure my workout plan..5 days a week..45 minute rides at a 12 to 13 mph pace then working up from there slowly. The odd thing is that it doesnt actually hurt while im biking so theres no way its gonna keep me from that! Just frustrating..sometimes i feel like its trying to hold me back and i cant have that. I know everyone has days where the energy level just isnt willing and today was one of those days for me! I fiddled around the house for alot of the day trying to find that energy to get on the bike and was so close to calling it my rest day but i bucked up and climbed on and did 14 miles today! Had such a blast yesterday with my mom...we shopped our buns off, I found 4 new super cute tops and a cute new bracelet all for just 13 dollars at goodwill! For this entry to make sense you have to know about me that at 20 a drunk driver hit me on my way home from work. The accident had me in the hospital for 6 months and in a wheelchair for another 6. I wasnt expected to live thru the first night, then when i lived i wasnt expected to straighten my left arm completely or walk again. So...i do walk.. very well lol. So tonight i made myself an amazing dinner... i had baked salmon and tilapia with steamed veggies and then I tried the garlic steamed rice by uncle ben? Well i found out it had quinoa and i'd never tried it but had wanted to so i was excited for the new experience... well i have to tell is like delicious little nutty nuggets of YUM!!!!!! I do weight watchers points plus and track my food here ( the log here makes i so easy to figure the points!) so i had 4 points i had to use up...and it dawned upon me the two might be a taste sensation so i tried it.. 1 tablespoon of biscoff spread and a handfull of carrot chips i had left over from stirfry the other night. It was amazing how it tasted just like carrot cake for a fraction of the calories or points and low fat too! I fully recomend it! <em>3...
