After I gave birth to my second son in Feburary at a whopping 222lbs, I started sweating bullets. I didn't know how in the world I was going to get down to 156lbs by November...when I had to take my first post-partum Physical Readiness Test (PRT). For anyone that has no clue about the Navy, the PRT is a semi-annual physical fitness test. For someone of my height, I have to be at most 156 lbs or no greater than 33% body fat. If I didn't make weight, I wouldn't be allowed to take the physic... Mon, 19 Nov 2012 17:49:04 EST 2-month update I can't believe it's been 2 months since I started working out with Justin, my personal trainer at Rawman Fitness! Not only has it been 2 months of training but 2 months of low-carb dieting. Well...sort of. Even though I cheated a little here and there, I still managed to lose 15 lbs and ~4% body fat! I haven't focused on weight training in many many years. I've always been fighting the fat and put weight training on the back burner. To remain in the navy, you must remain within body fat standards and pass the semi-annual physical readiness test – combined, it’s called the physical fitness assessment (PFA). I've always thought that a calorie is a calorie, not matter the source. But in the last week or so, I realized that may not be true. So far it's only been just over 7 weeks since I started my post-partum diet. I've had to adjust my caloric intake a few times becuase what I was doing just wasn't working.
