Mon, 22 Oct 2012 17:13:32 EST My Cousin's Wedding My cousin got married last night (I caught the bouquet!) I put my bridesmaid dress on for the first time since early August (when I picked it up from the store) and it was too big! It stayed up, fortunately, but it was really loose in the waist, and my boobs didn't really fit in it anymore. <BR> It was a beautiful wedding though, I wish her and her husband nothing but happiness. Sun, 21 Oct 2012 04:18:58 EST Running My Butt Off (Literally) I've been running every night this week. I haven't weighed myself yet, but I know I'm making progress. We do intervals, a little over a mile. Each night I run a little further than the night before. Last night I ran almost a half mile before I stopped to walk. Pretty soon I'll be able to run the whole way. I don't even need to measure myself, my clothes are already looser. Sat, 13 Oct 2012 15:21:13 EST Gym Tonight As soon as Jacob gets home from work, we're changing (well, he's changing, I'm already dressed) and going to the gym together. I figure I'll use the eliptical (sp?) machine for at least 30 minutes, then do a half hour of strength training, crunches, etc. Jacob went to the recruiter today, and he has to lose an inch off his waist, so I know he'll be doing a lot of running. Hopefully he'll be back down to size when he signs his contract next week. Wed, 10 Oct 2012 22:21:48 EST Running Now that I'm not sick anymore, I'm trying to get myself back in the habit of eating right, exercising, and tracking everything. My boyfriend even bought me a new pair of tennis shoes, and we're running together everynight. My other pair fell apart walking around Disney World, clearly they were made more for style rather than durability. My new ones are by Danskin (and they're really cute) and they're clearly made for exercising. We run a little over a mile together, which we usually end u... Mon, 8 Oct 2012 17:16:54 EST I'm Getting Better I got a shot of antibiotics yesterday morning. For the most part, I'm better. My throat is still sore and feels swollen, which makes breathing harder, but it feels better now, then it did this time yesterday. So maybe tomorrow I'll get back on track. I'm still having trouble breaking out of the cloud of laziness I was in, and getting off the couch, but I'm getting there. I'm doing some sort of exercise every day, even if it's just for a few minutes. I'm paying more attention to what I eat and cook. I just keep reminding myself how much I've already lost (and in one week at that), and how much I have left to reach my "goal". Although, to be perfectly honest with you, how much I weigh isn't as important to me as how I look. If I can ge... My eating was terrible today, but the rest of the week I will eat healthy. I've been running around with the boyfriend all day, and haven't had time for a workout, but hopefully I'll be able to fit one in before bed. Sun, 23 Sep 2012 17:17:59 EST Week 1 Well, it's not a complete week since I joined, however, for week one I have completed all of my fitness goals. I'm still working on eating right. I'm getting better. I'm not going over or under the recommended calories, fats, proteins, etc. But it's still not exactly right. I'm getting there though. Sat, 22 Sep 2012 22:40:57 EST Day 4 I didn't get a lot done today, or yesterday. I did go for a walk with my boyfriend yesterday. We spent the day together (it was his day off). We took my daughter to the library, then we bought a wedding gift for my cousin, then took my daughter to the Avenues Mall. She got to ride the train, then we took her to the Disney store. It was his first time in there, EVER. He bought her a Flounder plushie and a set of 'Tangled' pajamas. <BR> Today I took her out side and we played catch. Now ... Fri, 21 Sep 2012 20:30:28 EST 2 Days In This is day 2 of being a member of sparkpeople, and I've already burned more calories than I ever did in any other program. The videos are fun, and the workouts are amazing. Being able to track what I eat, and know my calorie intake (as well as fat, carbs and everything else) has already made me more consciencious about what I eat, and how much I eat.
