ANONDIETER's SparkPeople Blog ANONDIETER's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Snacking it up It's the little things about my gym that I appreciate- like the small plastic bags provided for your damp swimming costume or the Molton Brown body lotion in the changing room. I've only been going for three days now, but it feels good- and I've already lost a bit of weight!

Only thing is, I'm worried a bit about my snacking. For breakfast I had a banana and coffee, took my dog for a walk and then had a low-fat yoghurt (which I didn't even consider the sugar content of- later foun... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 13:48:11 EST Summer, Sauntering, and Samphire So Summer is coming up and I'm starting a new exercise regime on the 1st of June (well that's when my gym membership starts). Today however, I went on a 5k walk with my dog. Very lovely day! I also tried the vegetable samphire for the first time today, it's sort of like salty tasting asparagus. It's pretty delicious, I'm glad to have an additional green to add to my plate. I'd highly recommend it.

Anyone else ever tried this samphire? What do your summer plans consist of? And wher... Sun, 26 May 2013 17:41:53 EST Dietbet I recently joined the american website which allows users to bet money (I think the minimum is around $25- or £18) and that gets added to a pot. The bet is to lose 4% of body fat in 28 days and at the end of the month, the pot gets divided up amongst all those who achieved this weight loss goal. So, I placed a bet of $25 and start on June 3rd. I'm hoping this can help me reach and stick to my goals. Yay for added motivation! Sat, 25 May 2013 16:46:51 EST The Color Run 5k Although I haven't started training yet because I'm still finishing up exams, I signed up to do The Color Run 5k in London today! I start training June 1st and have 6 weeks from then until the Run. I've done couch to 5k plans in the past, but always sort of given up after running for 10 minutes straight, I always have to walk for about two minutes. I'd like to be able to run for 30 minutes nonstop which is why I also bought a Running Logbook recently (aka a small notebook which I shall fill u... Sat, 25 May 2013 12:24:35 EST Virgin Active Gym So I've pretty much decided to go ahead and make the investment of going to Virgin Active Gym (beginning next month- after exams). It just seems like I would be much more motivated to go there firstly, so I wouldn't feel like I was wasting my money and secondly, their facilities are just much more impressive than any other gym I've been to so far (I've had memberships to about 6 different ones). So yeah, I'm looking forward to the spa, swimming pool, and classes- but I also know it's importan... Sat, 4 May 2013 15:54:17 EST Back on the Wagon Well, I haven't been on here in a while! And I really haven't lost much weight as of late. I got rid of my 'Christmas weight' about 2 weeks ago but since then have only lost 1 more pound. Still, it's better than nothing I suppose! Perhaps it's because I now only go to the gym 4 times a week instead of 6 so things are bound to happen slower...Anyway, if anyone has any motivation to share- I'd love to hear it. I'm trying to lose 2 pounds a week but that hasn't been working so I'm a bit disappoi... Sun, 27 Jan 2013 06:04:39 EST Stay outta that cupboard, buddy So I lost 5kg but after 2 or 3 weeks gained back 2. This sucks but I know I can lose it again...I was going to the gym for those weeks, but I wasn't eating very well. It's quite irritating because mother still keeps buying junk food. Starting monday again, I've gotta keep to avoiding biscuits, cakes, tarts, pies, and other sweets that are around or else I won't lose enough weight in time for college. Sat, 21 Jul 2012 09:17:16 EST 2 weeks without weight loss... I've been going to the gym daily and had a couple of cheat weight has been down to 81.0 but gone back up to 82kg. WHYY?! Feels like I could've been sitting on my butt for the past two weeks and had the same results. Is this something to do with it being that time of the month? Or is this some horrifically bad plateau? Tue, 12 Jun 2012 07:03:26 EST I enjoy seeing results on my scale I've lost just under 2kg in a week and a half and yet I'm already becoming addicted to those scales numbers. I'm happy today because I'm almost at 81kg even though I've only been doing 40 minute gym sessions this week. Ok so I have hardly lost anything but these tiny wins keep me going. I've managed to avoid the apple pie in the fridge and brownies in the cupboard. How much weight have you lost? What do you use for motivation? Wed, 23 May 2012 06:52:30 EST Well that sucks... So I worked out for seven consecutive days last week. Got down to 82.8 or something and in two days it was back up to 84. I went to a barbeque and then the next day had work where I didn't even eat very much but in the evening had a slice of crappy pizza. Anyway, I'm back to the gym today and I hope the weight will drop back off again- sadly I don't think it works that way. I had a chocolate chip muffin for breakfast so I've gotta be extra good for the rest of the day/week. Trying to avoid ma... Sun, 20 May 2012 07:36:20 EST Dear cupboard, lead me not into temptation.... So my mum likes to buy food that is unhealthy. Currently I'm battling going to the cupboard and eating the jaffa cakes there. There's also crisps, rich tea biscuits, custard, and jelly...ok jelly isn't bad at all (except on my belly) but still! When I get back from the gym I feel like eating all of it. Anyhow, day two at the gym. Going well so far... my brother said I have initiative today. What happens after initiative? That doesn't last forever... Sun, 13 May 2012 13:24:01 EST 1st gym day So today was my first day at the gym....I needed it especially because I decided to have some apple crumble for dessert today. Hopefully I'll be good for dinner. Treadmills/ellipticals are just so boring! One day at a time.... Sat, 12 May 2012 13:51:24 EST Nomnomnom So it's summer and I've decided it's time to head back to the gym. I am currently the heaviest I've ever been at 83.4kg...I don't even want to convert that to pounds! Anyway, I'll hopefully be working out around 6 times a week- 30 minutes on the treadmill, 30 minutes on the elliptical and eating healthier - ie. no more biscuits/cookies, tart, chocolate (all the things my mother likes buying). I'll also be trying to avoid carbs at dinner.

Usually for motivation seeing Victoria's Se... Fri, 11 May 2012 16:35:20 EST Cookies anyone? Food. I consume it, it consumes a way.

I realised today I'm not in great shape at all and with summer coming up...I'm mildly embarassed. Not a very active person, per say. I go to college, do piano and driving lessons, and that is my life. It's quite busy and I tend to enjoy my free time too much to be going running during it.

Oh wait! I do pilates on Thursday. At least I do something...that's very sad. Anyhow I'm trying to limit my calorie intake. Easier said... Wed, 10 Mar 2010 18:21:33 EST
