As you are aware this pregnancy hasn't been easy for me.

In fact, last week was brutal. I had a little bit of spotting so I went to my family doctor on Wednesday and he said he wasn't too concerned because it wasn't red blood. But just to be safe he wanted me to go for an ultra-sound later that week.

The next morning I woke up with severe cramps and this time I was bleeding - not spotting - and it was red. (Sorry if TMI). I was in... Wed, 23 Sep 2015 08:49:19 EST Pregnancy Update - Nearly 15 Weeks Well I am nearly 15 weeks pregnant! woo hoo But it hasn't been easy.

My nausea seems to have increased in the past two weeks combined with severe dizzy spells and light-headedness. It's very rough. I sometimes feel like I am going to pass out.

I went to the doctor to get some tests done as I was worried I was anemic again since I do have a history of it.

Nope - iron is perfect. B12 is perfect. Thyroid is even at a good level. Turns out I am having hypog... Wed, 9 Sep 2015 09:48:57 EST Fun Weekend! Whew! I had a very busy weekend. Didn't end up getting in any exercise sessions as I was very active all weekend.

Friday I worked from home and during my lunch break I cleaned the house. Then baked cupcakes for my son's birthday party. Saturday we went shopping, bought all the balloons and what not for the party. I also decorated all the cupcakes, took my son for a walk to the park and finished up some cleaning. I guess I was standing a lot more than I thought because by Satu... Mon, 31 Aug 2015 08:46:45 EST Announcement! Well the time has finally come where I can make my announcement....I am super excited to let everybody know that I am pregnant!! Woo hoo!

I am due March 4th 2016 so I am over 12 weeks currently.

I haven't mentioned this previously because this pregnancy hasn't been an easy one. If you recall I went through some things early in the summer that I wasn't ready to talk about.

Well at 5 weeks pregnant I woke up to some heavy bleeding. It was awful. I spent t... Mon, 24 Aug 2015 09:19:13 EST Summer Update Wow! It's been a very busy few weeks.

Last week we were on vacation with the little guy. We decided instead of renting a cottage or going camping we would do all kinds of day trips with our son. This included going swimming at the community centre on rainy days.

Going to Chuck e Cheese

Going to the beach for a Sand Castle Festival (that's my son looking at the sa... Thu, 13 Aug 2015 08:53:36 EST He Missed Us! Last week my son was at his grandparents with all his cousins for the week. Every time we called him he said he didn't want to come home. Well Friday we decided to meet my in-laws at a restaurant to pick up our son and that way we could take them out to dinner to say thank-you for having our son for the week. Hubby and I were standing outside the restaurant and we could see their van at the lights ready to turn into the plaza where the restaurant was. Our son saw us and started to cry. He ... Mon, 27 Jul 2015 08:58:19 EST Missing The Little Guy - But Enjoying the Extra Sleep! This week feels odd because the little guy is spending the week with his grandparents. My in-laws called and said they were taking my nieces and nephew for the week and wanted to know if my son would like to come as well. My son was so excited to spend a week with his grandparents and cousins.

They picked him up at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday! So the hubby and I were able to get a lot of yard work done and even spent time relaxing, going out for a nice dinner. It's been nice. But s... Tue, 21 Jul 2015 09:07:16 EST Rocking Start to the Week Yesterday when I picked my son up from daycare I was worried I would be in for a rough night. Hubby was going to be out for the night and my daycare provider said my son was tired and she attempted a nap but he fought it.

Surprisingly my son was excellent. I think it's because I was preparing myself for a rough night he decided he would be an angel. Even cleaned up his toys without fight! It was a nice night. He also pretty much went right to sleep. With the hubby out and no fight... Tue, 14 Jul 2015 08:40:38 EST Weekend Family Fun Overall I had a pretty good weekend. Saturday being better than Sunday due to an overly tired toddler...hahah

Saturday the hubby had to go do an all day training course for his work. So I called my parents and asked if my son and I could come for a visit. I then texted my brother and asked if they were busy and he they wanted to also come as I knew my son would love to play with his cousins.

It ended up turning into a fun BBQ. The kids had a great time throwing water ... Mon, 13 Jul 2015 09:10:57 EST Quick UpDate First I just want to say thank-you for all the kind words I have received this week. It really means a lot to me. I am not ready to talk about what's going on yet. So far things are looking up but there are a few more things that have to occur before I can officially breathe a sigh of relief. I think at that point I will be able to talk about it.

As I have been going through some very hard things this week I had to take some time away from my workouts. I am easing back into bec... Fri, 10 Jul 2015 08:40:50 EST Awesome Weekend! I had the best time at the colour run on Saturday. It was so much fun. (Pictures to come soon.)

My mom decided to come and walk the run. My sister and brother-in-law were running it and my Dad came to take photos since he just had knee surgery.

The race warm-up was Zumba! So much fun. Oh man we had so much fun doing the zumba. They did like an hour of Zumba before the run. I think we maybe did 20 minutes. I ended up running the race alone as my sister and her bf a... Mon, 29 Jun 2015 09:02:45 EST Day 54/56: Okay Scale...We Can Be Friends Again Yesterday I wokred from home. My job tends to be very meeting heavy while at the office. I literally have to block off an entire day in my calendar, make it as being busy and physically remove myself from the office in order to be left alone to work. I call these days my 'getting stuff done days'. I tend to accomplish a lot.

Anyways, while working at home yesterday I was upset to see the weather was calling for rain in the evening. I had done my recovery workout but really wan... Fri, 26 Jun 2015 08:37:53 EST Day 53/56: Recovery Day Last night I was able to get in a nice 5 km run. Felt great. And made me feel more ready for this Saturday's run. Cannot wait!!

This morning was Insanity Max Recovery.

Burn baby burn! That's what my abs and legs were screaming by the end of this workout. Tough ab sections featuring planks, side planks, low to high plank moves and standing abs. And it worked because when I woke up this morning I was ready to rock my workout.

Today's workout was Insanity Cardio Conditionning

Intense workout this morning. It is 48 minutes straight no 3 mins on 30 second water break. Nope you just keep going...and going! hahaha But I loved it. I p... Wed, 24 Jun 2015 08:58:10 EST Day 51/56: Everybody Jump jump! Last night was my last yoga class. I thoroughly enjoyed it. After a break next week my friend and I decided to buy class passes instead of signign up for one specific class. We plan on going to this 'On the Ball' class that is 45 minutes of core work on the ball with some stretching! Sounds awesome. But we plan on alternating this with the tougher Wednesday night yoga class too. Looking forward to both.

Last night I slept horribly. There was this big strorm that began around ... Tue, 23 Jun 2015 08:46:33 EST Day 50/56: The Home Stretch!! Wow!!! Only 6 days left in my Insanity Challenge!!! Woo hoo!

I had a great weekend. On Saturday we had family over in the morning for a Father's day visit. My son was so excited to see his grandparents. Than in the afternoon we went for dinner at his other grandparents.

It was a super busy day but I was really proud of myself. In between the visiting I managed to fit in a 5 km run! I knew I would indulge in a treat at dinner so I wanted to make sure I burned a few c... Mon, 22 Jun 2015 08:55:16 EST Day 47/56: Nuts I tell you! Just nuts!! Last night was my hubby's birthday. I surprised him by getting balloons for him from our son that said Happy Birthday Daddy. I also had a card and a gift for him from our son...which our son was too happy to give him. hahaha And my son even sang happy birthday as soon as my hubby got home. He wasn't expecting anything because we celebrated on the weekend but I knew he was having a rough week this week at work and wanted to do something nice.

This mornings workouts were nuts! I am... Fri, 19 Jun 2015 08:51:01 EST Day 46/56: Wow Ten Days to Go!!! Wow this week has been brutal on my stress levels. The company I work for is the Canadian division of a world wide company. I think there are nearly 30 offices/divisions spread across the world. Anyways, the really big executes - think CEO, CFE, Head of Marketing etc...were all in the office. And I had to make presentations on my marketing tactics/results from the first half of the year and what my plan is for the next half.

I had my meetings yesterday - and wouldn't you just kn... Thu, 18 Jun 2015 11:25:30 EST Day 44/56: Found a Solution! Last night my son was so cute. When we got home I told him he could go play in the playroom as I was going to cook dinner. He said he wanted to stay in the kitchen and asked to sit at the table while I cooked. He played with is re-usable stickers and book the entire time I cooked. It was nice as we talked about his day. And I could clearly tell he was elaborating on his stories. hahaha

I had yoga last night and it was a different instructor. I really enjoyed the change up. New m... Tue, 16 Jun 2015 09:07:02 EST Day 43/56: Weekend Full of Fun! I had a really awesome weekend this weekend. On Saturday my son had soccer. He loves it. I love that it's not soccer games they have them do. It's a team of 2 1/2 to 5 years and it's set up like a soccer practice. Object is to teach them to listen to a coach, work together, and basic soccer skills. Much better then trying to make kids that young actually play a game. My son loves it!

Right after soccer we visited my husbands grandfather. My son calls him Nice Grandpa instead of... Mon, 15 Jun 2015 09:09:05 EST Day 40/56: Sport Superstar Over Here! Last night I was able to get a nice run in. Good thing I did too because it's going to rain all day today! Whew!

I was a busy bee yesterday. I worked from home and the little guy was awake at 5:40 am! I cleaned most of the house while he played. Then took him to daycare. Finished up the cleaning - only had to vacuum. Then started work - I was working from home yesterday. On my lunch break I... Fri, 12 Jun 2015 09:12:45 EST Day 39/56: Back on Top! Thank you everyone for your comments yesterday on my blog. It truly meant a lot to me.

Although last night we still had some issues as the little guy refused to go to sleep...I was able to remain calm. It's very hard at the moment with him thoroughly enjoying being in a big boy bed that allows him the freedom to get in and out of it! hahaha

I was also able to go for a run last night. Ended up running a lot quicker than normal as these dark clouds were rolling in. Then ... Thu, 11 Jun 2015 09:27:39 EST Day 38/56: Oh Patience...Where have you gone? So I am feeling kind of down on myself today as I keep losing my patience with my son and I find myself yelling a lot more than I would like to. What's hard is that I feel like a horrible mom when I do. It seems so frowned upon in the media and with other mom's to yell. I don't want to yell at my son. Goodness I get so overcome with guilt after. But, like last night, in 20 minutes it looked like a bomb had hit his toy room. I asked him to clean it and he kept playing and ignoring me. I must... Wed, 10 Jun 2015 08:57:26 EST Day 37/56: So...Many...Push-Ups! Last night I was so happy to go to yoga class. It was really nice and I needed the stretching. My friend and I even ran into a friend from highschool that just moved to our town! How crazy is that? We all used to live in the city about 40 mintues from the town I live in now. It's been, gosh almost 13 or 14 years since I last saw this girl. And she literally lives down the street from my friend I go to yoga with. It was like a mini- reunion! haha

This morning I woke up ready to r... Tue, 9 Jun 2015 09:08:12 EST Day 36/56: Good Family Fun I had a pretty good weekend this weekend. Saturday morning we took my son to try out soccer. He loved it. Didn't exactly want to listen to the coach all the time but he still really enjoyed kicking the ball and playing the games.

We got gardening done, visited friends, played outside a lot! And enjoyed some BBQ food. It was a pretty good weekend.

I ended up taking Saturday complete off working out. But yesterday I was able to get in a nice run. I am very glad I too... Mon, 8 Jun 2015 09:05:03 EST Day 33/56: And My Body Won. So I know yesterday I mentioned how I really wanted to go for a run. The weather was absolutely beautiful and just perfect for a run. My heart wanted to run. My head wanted to run. But my body just felt exhausted and sore. I decided to listen to my body. I know it means I may not run until Sunday but my body needed a rest.

It was good too because this morning I woke up feeling so energized and my body wasn't sore at all! See you do have to listen to your body. I love working out... Fri, 5 Jun 2015 09:08:56 EST Day 32/56: Hello Sunshine! Last night it was so beautiful out I just had to go for a run. I also bought myself new headphones on the weekend and had yet to try them out. I usually don't spend too much on my headphones as I only use them for running and they get sweaty. I found a good pair at Winners for $19. They are amazing! They are red with silver that. And turns out they are noice cancelling! Normally when I am on the main street of town running I can never hear my music. I am usually not on it lon... Thu, 4 Jun 2015 09:16:58 EST Day 31/56: Burn, Baby, Burn! Whew! Last night was super challenging. Hubby had his guys night out so it was just me and the little guy. When I picked him up from daycare he immediately started crying as soon as he saw me. Super tired little guy. He was just very easy to start crying. But then when it came time to go to bed he was just doing everything he could to mis-behave. I was mad because i lost my cool a couple times. i mean I can only take him jumping off his bed, slamming himself into his door so many times. Not... Wed, 3 Jun 2015 09:17:53 EST Day 30/56: Well Rested and Ready to Rock! Yesterday was a super tough day to get through. I was so tired that I was actually getting nauseous. I beginning to think I actually got only an hour of sleep Sunday and 2 hours on Saturday. My body just wanted to sleep. I almost went home to sleep but I have to save my sick days to use if my son is ever sick. So I toughed it out.

I was so worried during Yoga class that I would fall aleep during the meditation at the end...and well I almost did! hahah Yoga class was rough last... Tue, 2 Jun 2015 08:59:16 EST Day 29/56: Feeling Tired Today I had a pretty good weekend. We couldn't do any of the yard work we wanted to do because of all the rain but we still had a great time. Saturday we even had a birthday party at the rec centre. My friend had rented out the pool for an hour followed by a dinner. My son had a great time. I think he especially liked eating the cake! hahaha

Saturday I decided to do Turbo Fire HIIT 30 Class.
<img src=" Mon, 1 Jun 2015 09:08:08 EST Day 26/56: Feeling Empowered Last night I got in a great run. It was really beautiful out so I was happy I was able to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a run. Now if only those little fly bugs would go away I would be super happy. I swear I got one in my eye, and my mouth last night. Yucky!

This morning I woke up and got ready to do Insanity Cardio Power and Resistance.

At first when I began I re... Fri, 29 May 2015 09:17:47 EST Day 25/56: It's Recovery Time Last night I was super happy that the storm held off and I was able to get in a great run.

It was really windy but humid as well. The wind actually felt nice while running. At one point I looked up and the sky in front of me was all clear and blue, while behind me was these big black clouds. Yep...I picked up the pace and high-tailed it home. Legs were on fire from running faster than no... Thu, 28 May 2015 09:26:27 EST Day 24/56: Sweaty Good Time Last night ended up being a tough night with the little guy. Just having one of those 'I am not going to do what Mommy says nights." But I survived! hahaha

This morning I woke up feeling like I did get a good night's sleep and rocked Insanity Plyometric Cardio Circuit.

Holy moly was I sweaty this morning doing this workout. hahaha I was really please with my level 1 drills which ... Wed, 27 May 2015 09:08:35 EST Day 23/56: Felt Like Highschool Gym Class! I didn't realize just how much I was looking forward to my yoga class until it was time for it to begin last night. I think because there was no class last week my body missed it more than I thought. I thoroughly enjoyed it last night and felt awesome when I got home.

I even slept much better last night! Thank goodness! It's always so tough to get through Monday's as I hardly ever sleep well Sunday night.

This morning's workout was supposed to be Insanity Pure Cardio... Tue, 26 May 2015 08:52:33 EST Day 22/56: Great Weekend! I had a very nice weekend. We decided to just take this weekend to have fun with our son. We spend all of last weekend doing yard work and I was so stressed out last week at work that a fun weekend was needed.

Saturday my son and I had a baking morning where we baked loafs of banana bread and chocolate chip cookies. It was fun teaching him how to place the cookies on the sheet. And he loved watching them bake.

I went for a 45 minute run Saturday afternoon.
<im... Mon, 25 May 2015 08:52:15 EST Day 19/56: Staying Strong Sorry for being MIA this week. I unfortunately hit a breaking point with my work stress. I ended up breaking dow to my husband Tueday night and confessing just how stressed out I am and how much I have been holding in. Hubby said I shouldn't of tried to hold it in for so long. But I was trying to be strong and not let things get to me.

But it's become very tough at work. Everyone is out for themselves, and trying to make themselves look good while simultaneously making someone ... Fri, 22 May 2015 09:47:07 EST Day 16/56: Great Long Weekend! I had a very nice long weekend. The hubby and I managed to get the garage all cleaned out, and a lot of yard work done. My son was super happy to be playing outside all weekend while we worked. And we took breaks to play with him of course! I taught him how to play hop-scotch. He just liked jumping from square to square. hahaha. but we had a great time drawing with chalk on the side-walk, playing in dirt and enjoying and ice-cream cone treat.

I also managed to get a run in eve... Tue, 19 May 2015 09:30:23 EST Day 11/56: Feeling Great and Ready for a LONG Weekend So after yesterday's blog my day was jam packed full of meetings right up until the end of the day. I mean I literally was simply moving from one meeting room to the next...all day. But when I got home my hubby had decided to tell his boss he needed to get off work early. So he was home in time to help me get dinner ready. He said he realized how stressed out I was yesterday and wanted to help. That was honestly so sweet of him to do.

I also was able to get in a run and talk ... Thu, 14 May 2015 09:12:16 EST Day 10/56: Is Feeling the Stress Today I have been really struggling this week to not give into pressures and stress. Makes me feel off. Been feeling off all week. I have been trying to simply not think about certain stresses or distrat myself with tasks but this week I am having a hard time doing that.

The main stress is work. With all the cut backs I have been thrown into a more senior position...but I have had little training and have pretty much been left alone to figure it out. Now I do love a challenge but I ha... Wed, 13 May 2015 09:19:26 EST Day 9/56: Motivated to Stick With It Last night I was super happy with my body during my yoga class. My flexibilty has come such a long way since January. I am glad I made the decision to incorporate yoga into my weekly workouts. I am able to hold poses much longer than before and perform the majority of the advance options in my class. The only thing that bugs me is the very first time I go into warrior 1 pose with my right foot in the back (so left lead) my right foot cramps up all the way through my toes. It's painful. A... Tue, 12 May 2015 09:25:19 EST Day 8/56: Back to the First Insanity! I had a very lovely weekend. We decided to eliminate my son's naps as he was beginning to stay up until almost 10 pm! And it works. He is out and a sleep now at his normal bed time. Yes we have to deal with a bit of grumpiness right around his bed time but at least he is now going to bed on time.

I had a great mother's day and we really enjoyed the nice weather. Even did some visiting with family. It was a really nice weekend.

I also successfully completed all my wor... Mon, 11 May 2015 09:13:50 EST Day 5/56: Woo hoo It's Friday! Last night was crazy. I didn't think I would get in a run- but surprisingly I did! hahaha

It started out okay - even having some fun. We get a telemarketing call about getting our ducts cleaned at least twice a week. (yes we are on the do not call list and I have filed a complaint). THey called last night and I handed the phone to my son. He was thrilled. Just kept asking -'What's your name? What is YOUR name? No no - YOUR name?' And then the guy hung up. hahaha

Then ... Fri, 8 May 2015 09:16:25 EST Day 4/56: Strength Time I didn't end up getting a run in last night as it ended up being a very crazy night. Little guy didn't go to bed until 9:30! By the time he finally did - I was tired too and also went to bed. hahaha Hoping the little guy goes to sleep better tonight - or at least doesn't try to continually get up.

This morning I woke up and rocked my day 4 workouts. I began with Insanity Max 30 Tabata Strength

Oh ... Thu, 7 May 2015 09:02:31 EST Day 3/56: All About The Sweat! Last night I managed to do a bit more cardio but not much. I attempted to do the 25 minute Rockin' Body dance workout. But my son is still playing games at bed time. I think it took me nearly 2 1/2 hours to get him to stay in bed and fall asleep. As much as I love getting time during the day to myself I am thinking it may be time to elimate his afternoon nap. But going to bed close to 9 pm or sometimes 10 pm is way too late. So my daycare provider and I came up with a plan. We are slowly... Wed, 6 May 2015 08:51:08 EST Day 2/56: Tabata Time! Last night I thoroughly enjoyed my yoga class. Although I believe I still haven't caught up on my sleep as I almost fell asleep during the mediation time at the very end! haha

This morning I woke up ready to rock day two of my challenge. It began with Insanity Max 30: Tabata Power

Whew! Twenty seconds going all out with a ten second recovery. My legs got worked with jumps and lunges, abs got work... Tue, 5 May 2015 08:57:06 EST Day 1/56: New Two Month Challenge Begins! Hi Everyone!! Last week was crazy. I was away at a sales conference in Jasper, Alberta all week. OMG! We drove through snow blizzards, saw deer and elk on the side of the road - and I even saw a bear!!! The internet connection wasn't any good up there but we did lots of walks. It was beautful.

I packed the wrong USB - thinking I had packed my USB with all my workouts on it...and I ended up actually packing my back up digital photos USB! haahha THank goodness I threw in 2 Turbo... Mon, 4 May 2015 09:16:10 EST Making Flexibility Gains!!! Yesterday was a crazy day. Yes it was my birthday but there was so much happening we decided to post-pone celebrating it until tonight.

Yesterday I was busy at the office and than had to rush home and cook dinner while also completing my packing for my son. My in-laws arrived at 6:30 pm and I managed to have everything packed up, my son fed and ready in his jammies. Usually I cry when my son goes away for a few days. I am not going to lie - I did get teary eyed while cooking dinn... Tue, 28 Apr 2015 09:07:24 EST Feeling Confident in My Own Shoes I had a pretty good weekend this weekend. We are still struggling with getting my son to bed each night but I am hoping this improves soon. I think not having the soother anymore has set him back a little in putting himself to sleep. But we are determined to push through.

Saturday it was a little rainy out and cold so I decided to do an indoor workout. Now since I know I am beginning my Insanity Max round 2 May 4th, and I am going to be away for the majority of this week I have ... Mon, 27 Apr 2015 09:15:40 EST We're Making Progress! Yesterday I ended up being able to work from home. I decided to do my cardio during my lunch breack since I was at home. That way my evening would be free to spend with the hubby. (he's been working late and I haven't seen a lot of him lately. hahah)

I made the decision to do Turbo Fire - Fire 55 EZ Class

Love this workout! I had a blast doing it. If felt awesome! I have to admit I was able to go ... Fri, 24 Apr 2015 09:24:59 EST
