So around 6:30 I gave up and went to the clinic to have my cyst drained. It was huge, I was in pain, and it didn’t look like it was going to drain on its own. I feel sooooo much better now! I’m still on antibiotics for a few more days and have to go see a doctor tomorrow or Friday to have my dressing and the packing changed. Maybe tomorrow I’ll finally get to the gym. Wed, 4 Jul 2012 20:21:15 EST Infected Cyst Please Go Away! I haven't posted in a while. I believe I had mentioned a few days ago that I have an infected cyst on my shoulder that has been giving me grief. I've had this cyst for a few years now. Normally doctors would just cut it out and that's the end of it, but because I scar really badly, they don't want to risk it.

Friday I noticed that it was swollen and painful, I could barely stand a bra strap rubbing against it. I went into the clinic that evening and got a prescription for antib... Tue, 3 Jul 2012 10:11:45 EST Sorry for Disapearing Hey everyone!

I’ve been gone for a while. Life got crazy, but I have not given up. I’ve been a little down lately because I hit a plateau in April, thought I had overcome it with a 2 lb. weight loss, but now the scale isn’t budging again.

Fortunately, I am now done my job, so that’s a huge source of stress gone, also I now have the time to go to the gym and actually get some sleep. I appreciated the paycheck, but the job and the people where I worked just brought to a... Sat, 26 May 2012 17:14:20 EST Post-Conference Weigh-in (posted late) So last week I was away at a conference and didn’t get to weigh-in. Two weeks ago I weighed in at 188.2. When I weighed in on Wednesday I weighed 189.6, so that was a pound and a half gain. I wasn’t really surprised given all the traveling, the chaos of the conference and the lack of workout time. I refused to beat myself up about it. Since I started this blog in November, this was the first week that I gained weight. I checked my weight this morning though and I was down to 187.8, so I... Fri, 20 Apr 2012 21:34:21 EST Update This can’t really be called a week review, since it’s Tuesday night, and I will not be weighing in tomorrow, it’s just a general what-the-heck-is-going-on. I’m in Portland Oregon right now. I got here last night and it has been a total blast so far. The registration and reception for the conference I’m attending here was tonight. Before leaving for Portland, my grandmother, aunt and I went shopping in Barrie and the GTA. I loved getting to go to all the outlet stores and picked up some r... Thu, 12 Apr 2012 01:46:29 EST Weekly Weigh-in (Thursday Edition) My scale was being weird yesterday, so I left it be and tried again today. Last week I weighed 198.2 lbs. This week I’m down another pound to 188.2. I still can’t quite believe that I’m in the 180s. I’ve come such a long way from 243!

Anyhow, I’m keeping this post short because I am completely exhausted. I’ve been lucky if I got 5 hours of sleep a night, and I don’t function well with a lack of sleep. Goodnight everyone! Fri, 6 Apr 2012 00:09:28 EST Week Review I’m posting this a little late, but at least I’m posting.

This was my second week of work and I’m still managing the weight loss quite well with another 2 lbs. lost this past week. Friday night I made an awesome chicken satay and peanut sauce for supper. It was even boyfriend approved! Saturday morning my boyfriend was volunteering so I got to go to the gym for the first time in the two weeks I’ve been working. I had missed the gym so much! Saturday was also my first full day... Mon, 2 Apr 2012 21:30:11 EST Weekly Weigh-in Since it would be way too much for me to blog here and on my Tumblr, I will cross-post on both.

Ok, so I haven't been around much and have really been slacking with the whole blogging thing. My job is exhausting. I get up at 5 am, walk to work and start from 7am until 3 pm. It is mind numbingly boring and high pressure, but it pays well. I would go crazy without my iPod and podcasts! I get home by 3:30ish, make super, pack my lunch, prep for the next day, clean, maybe get a wo... Wed, 28 Mar 2012 20:52:48 EST About Me This is directly from my Tumblr page, but I thought since I am becoming more active in the Sparkpeople community that I should introduce myself a little.

I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t overweight. I was lucky enough to never get teased about it, to have great friends, and to still have a fairly active lifestyle. When I was in high school I played flag football, badminton, curling, tennis, and soccer.

I think the biggest change in my life was going to university.... Tue, 27 Mar 2012 21:53:15 EST
