Wow, that is really hard. I have to admit I didn't get it done every day. I did manage to do it 5 out of the 7 days which I think is really good. I am trying to keep that habit but take it down to 8 glasses a day. Drinking all that water made me feel really good. I think it also helped out with cravings. Looking back at my calorie intake I ate less on the days that I got 10 glasses in.

Fitness was still not up t... We grocery shop and plan meals for 2 weeks at a time.

3. Involvement-- ... Wed, 26 Sep 2012 18:37:00 EST Stuffed peppers--- WIO cooking challenge We made stuffed bell peppers last night. Instead of the usual recipe I choose one from SP.

Here is the link:

l.asp?recipe=183604

It was very easy and delicious. Talk about filling for 300 calories. A serving is the entire pepper not just half. I would definitely suggest trying this one out.

Sorry my pic won't upload. I keep getting an error message. I will keep trying though. Mine did... Fri, 31 Aug 2012 09:00:06 EST WIO Double Dare Challenge So, for our WIO Summer challenge our current challenge was to read 14 ways to change your walking, try 3 ideas, and blog about it.

I dusted off one of my WATP DVD's. So this is something a little different to my current exercise routine. It has been awhile since I did this DVD (5 miles Fat Burning Walk). One of the ideas in the article was to change up your routine which I definitely did.

This DVD added the elements of Power Walking, changing speeds, changing directio... Fri, 8 Jun 2012 18:48:17 EST Cautiously optimistic After all my struggle with the injury to my hip I am almost feeling back to normal. There are still a few things I cannot do but I am getting back on track. My exercise minutes are up and what I can actually do is increasing. I have peaked at 16 pounds gained thoughout this injury. My weight peaked at 147about 3 weeks ago and now looks like I am on the way back down. I am down 1 pound so far this week. I have been tracking EVERY food I eat. I had really gotten out of that habit. I am ... Wed, 30 Mar 2011 23:18:56 EST A blow to my fitness routine I went to the Orthopaedic specialist on Monday and got the official verdict on my hip injury. Good news is that there is no permanent joint damage and no damage to my back. The bad news is that the soft tissue damage is severe enough that I will NEVER carry mail again. I don't have to undergo surgery thank goodness. I am continuing with physical therapy. I should be all healed in the next 4 to 6 weeks. If I am not then I will have to go in and have a series of injections into the hip jo... Wed, 2 Mar 2011 19:24:39 EST Still struggling I continue to struggle with this hip injury. I am very frustrated as I see the scale continuing to creep up, although it has finally slowed. I am tracking all my calories and am getting better at staying in my range. I still cannot exercise to the level I am use to and that I want to.

I had my MRI last week. I got a summary of my results from my physical therapist on Monday. The good news is that there are no tears in any of the soft tissue and the tendon is healing nicely. ... Tue, 15 Feb 2011 23:16:23 EST Another setback I was so close to being all healed up from my hip injury a couple of months ago. I was feeling almost a 100% when of course I was pushed too far in the amount of carrying time I did. I am now complete off my feet for at least six days when I finish my steroid treatments. I can't tell you how horrible the pain was yesterday when I went into physical therapy. It was bad enough that my awesome therapist got me a doctor's appoitment immediately. Once again I am off work and unable to do anyt... Sat, 15 Jan 2011 10:33:34 EST Starting over. I had a major setback in November when I injured my hip. I have now gained 11 pounds since then. This injury was a major blow to my normal routine. I went from exercising 3 to 5 hours a day to being able to do almost nothing. I could not walk for almost a week. Talk about a blow to the exercise momentum. My body didn't recognize the change in activity very quickly. I had a very hard time not wanting to consume my normal amount of calories that I was used to when I was doing all that ex... Sat, 1 Jan 2011 16:31:14 EST May Snow

You've got to be kidding me right? May 12th and all this snow. Where's the sun? Will winter ever end? Wed, 12 May 2010 10:19:14 EST 26.2 miles I watch the Biggest Loser and am always amazed at the challenges the contestants complete. I was especially impressed with them biking a marathon. I thought today that I would try it. Why not? I am in better shape now so I thought I would give it a try. I got on my exercise bike and started pedaling. I kept telling myself I can do this.

After 1 hour 42 minutes, I did it. I pedaled 26.2 miles on my exercise bike. I just completed a challenge that the Biggest Loser contest... Thu, 29 Apr 2010 19:53:05 EST Rough couple of weeks!! I have had a rough couple of weeks. I was doing so well down to 132 the lightest have been in 10 years. I guess maybe I was getting too confident. I stopped tracking food, which is big for me. I was still doing okay with the exercise. Some days are no choice but to exercise or not go to work (most of you know I carry mail at the post office a few days a week). I ended up gaining 5 pounds over the last two weeks. I got up to 137 again. Talk about a slap in the face but what did I expec... Sun, 25 Apr 2010 13:44:05 EST My husband noticed Just had to let everyone know that my husband actually commented on my weight loss achievements. this morning I was talking about some pants that I remember fitting tight I now have to sinch up to keep on. My husband said "yeah I noticed your pajama pants this morning were saggy in the butt."

I know he has noticed but has not said a word about how much weight I lost. 244 Sun, 4 Apr 2010 13:12:23 EST 132 OMG!!!!! 48 244 104 345 236 224 30

That's how I felt this morning when I stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh in. I knew I didn't have a great week food wise but rocked the exercise. I was expecting something in the 135 range, that is where I have been hovering for the last month or so. To my surprise I stepped on and 132 was the number. I couldn't believe my eyes. I got off my scale moved it around on got on ag... Sun, 28 Mar 2010 13:01:27 EST Does this time change bother anyone else? Today has been such a struggle. I knew the time change was coming, my body could feel it. It never fails every year about this time sleep becomes a big issue. I not only have trouble falling asleep (even when I am dead tired), but I wake up 3 to 4 times a night (always at the exact same times). I have no problem in the fall, that extra hour of sleep is great. Of course my day got off to a slow start with waking up an hour later than normal. My whole day was thrown off. It was a gloomy,... Sun, 14 Mar 2010 22:12:56 EST My new haircut For all my Sparkfriends that were wanting a picture of my new hairstyle.... here it is. Let me know what you think. I have gotten lots of good comments today.

Fri, 5 Mar 2010 19:09:50 EST I just about ready to scream!! I need a neutral place to talk about this where I won't get yelled at and get attitude. I know this is a safe place to let this all out.

My family is driving me crazy. Emotionally I am about ready to burst. I am almost in tears just typing this.

Anyway this is the story. My brother has always been the favorite. I know it, I've dealt with it, and I accept it as much as I possibly can. There has always been a bit of conflict between my husband andthe rest of my fami... Mon, 1 Mar 2010 13:23:15 EST I couldn't believe it..... I was on the computer doing my sparking this morning like always. I also had the no so local news on (where I live sometimes Denver, CO. news is as local as I can get) listening to the weather for the day. They had a story on about how to lose weight and keep it off forever. So I turned my attention to it to see what they had to say. A lot of the sparkpeople concepts were on the list. To my surprise at the end of the story the anchor said that there is a great website that has all of the... Tue, 2 Feb 2010 20:17:07 EST Biggest Loser Wii I have done 3 challenges now on the Biggest Loser Wii game. I have done very well. I just really didn't get the hang of it or something. Today I won my first challenge. 244 It wasn't an easy one either. It was the challenge where you have to light up your lights by cycling. Well to get the bike to pedal I had to alternate between tire jumps and football runs. Neither of which is very easy for me, but I did it. I lasted all seven rounds and came in first. What a great feeli... Sat, 23 Jan 2010 20:17:34 EST Need a new favorite pair of jeans!! This morning on pulled on my favorite pair of jeans. You know that pair you just love. I discovered that I need to find a new favorite pair. I can pull them on and off without unzipping and unbuttoning them. 244 The waist is now so big a belt doesn't even help. I have to hold on to them when I walk to keep them from falling down.

I knew I have lost quite a bit of weight and several inches off my body but this really brings it home. This is one of the WHOO HOO mom... Sun, 17 Jan 2010 15:08:52 EST Mealtime frustration I am blogging mostly to vent. I am so frustrated with my family when it comes to deciding our dinner menu. Breakfast and lunch are no problem. My husband usually isn't home for either and my daughter eats both at school during the week. I use the Spark meal plan as a guide for both of those meals.

It is dinner that is the KILLER!! I want to follow the Spark meal plan. It is already decided for you, how easy is that!?! My family on the other hand isn't so excited. They eithe... Fri, 15 Jan 2010 14:06:50 EST 2010 I have spent the first few days of 2010 thinking about what I would like to accomplish this year. I came to the realization that right now I am pretty happy with where I am. There are a few things that I would like to conquer.

1. Continue my success on SP. I have really made a lot of progress in the last year on SP. I am at the lowest weight I have been in a long time. The last time I was at 137 I was 4 months pregnant (right before going on bed rest for the rest of my pregna... Mon, 4 Jan 2010 21:46:10 EST Happy New Year Wishing all my friends a Happy New Year. It has been a great year. I have met a lot of GREAT people here on SP. I have accomplished a lot in my journey to be healthier. I am determined to keep it up in the new year.

Hope everyone has great New Year's celebrations and look forward to meeting more wonderful people here on SP in the year to come. Thu, 31 Dec 2009 21:36:54 EST Merry Christmas Just a quick note to all my Spark friends to wish you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas. Hope everyone has an enjoyable day surrounded by friends and family. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone. Have a special day. Fri, 25 Dec 2009 12:46:10 EST Early Christmas present Every year my husband and I get each other on big gift for the both of us. To my surprise, this year he suggested a treadmill. I have been wanting one for a very long time. I asked him if he was sure since this is suppose to be an "us" gift not a "me" gift. He said he would also use it, which really surprised me. (Maybe I am getting somewhere with him on fitness!!-- keep your fingers crossed)

So we did some searches, compared models, and prices. We both found one we agreed on ... Fri, 18 Dec 2009 10:20:26 EST Down but not out On Wednesday I was carrying the mail route and had my first accident. It had snowed here about 6 inches. It has been so cold that of course no one has been out to scoop walks. It is really hard to see curbs, edges of steps, or anything else that was in my path walking. Needless to say, I walked up to a mailbox, delivered the mail, and as I turned around I missed the step. Down I went. My boot caught the edge of the step but the rest of me went to the ground. I was 2 and a half blocks a... Fri, 11 Dec 2009 12:20:53 EST Fighting the urge to eat everything in sight!! Since I have been so much more active I have also been so much more HUNGRY. It is really hard on days I am out for 5 to 6 hours a day burning 1500 or more calories to eat healthy. I usually do very well at breakfast. That's the easy one.

Lunch time is of course rushed. I am only allowed 30 minutes. If I am running behind I usually take less time than that. So lunch is usually anything I can grab quick. I keep bananas on hand so I grab one of those. Then I usually have a s... Fri, 4 Dec 2009 10:25:56 EST Wii withdrawal The Wii has been such a big part of my life since I got my Wii Fit and especially since I got my Wii Fit Plus. I have been working so much lately that I am just so exhausted when I get home that I have not been on it in over 2 weeks (other than to bowl in the leagues I am in). I am having trouble finding the motivation to start it up and do something on it.

The Wii has always been my way to relax. It like my me time. I have all the excuses not to do it when I get home from wo... Thu, 26 Nov 2009 11:22:39 EST It kinda feels like cheating. A little over 2 years ago I gave up my job as a social worker, very sedentary and high emotional stress job. I started working at the local post office. I was initially hired to work in the office. With staff retirement and other issues with staffing I have started carrying the mail route periodically.

When I start I thought I was going to die. I hadn't walked 10 miles in one day in I don't know how long. Now not only was that expected of me, I was expected to walk that with ... Sat, 21 Nov 2009 23:24:04 EST Happy birthday to me!! I normally don't blog as I never know what to say. With today being my 33rd birthday I thought it would be as good as day as any to start.

Yesterday I went shopping with my family. Kind of a tradition on my birthday. It has not always been a fun tradition. After the birth of my daughter in 1999 and a high stress job I managed to reach my highest weight of 169 pounds about 2 1/2 years ago.

I started Sparkpeople about 2 years ago when I just had enough of the weight g...
