AMYC0128's SparkPeople Blog AMYC0128's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Wednesday, November 12. 2014 My surgery went well my urologist was able to break up all of my stone, she put in a shunt that I had removed 3 weeks after the surgery. I did develop a infection while I was in the hospital and had to stay an extra day.

My neuropathy is really bad this year there have been a few days that I could barely walk. I do not know if this could be a sign of a bad winter ahead.

I reported my daughter as missing person today, I got off the phone with a Detective of the Denver ... Wed, 12 Nov 2014 16:16:54 EST Saturday, August 30th My surgery to remove my kidney stone has been delayed to September 17th now because the anesthesiologists will not touch me because of swelling of my optic nerve and my Intracranial Hypertension until I get the results of my MRI's that are scheduled for September 9th. Depending on the results it may be delayed even further. So I go on in pain, today I had bad nausea and vomited a few times, I spent the majority of the day in bed. Sun, 31 Aug 2014 01:41:24 EST Tuesday, August 26th I have been having a lot going on lately. I have been to the ER quite a bit for myself and also my dad and my youngest son.

I have a huge kidney stone on my right side that may require 2 surgeries to get rid of it. I have surgery set for Thursday, September 4th with an overnight stay in the hospital. I hope that it is the only surgery that I will need. I am in on and off pain, when I have the pain it hurts bad I am now up to two 5/325 mg of Percoset a time and when that don't help... Tue, 26 Aug 2014 04:43:54 EST Finally...a Diagnosis The neurologist called me this afternoon. My spinal tap showed that my cerebral fluid pressure is very high. She says I have Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension. This is what has been causing my headaches, I forgot to ask if it is also what is causing the numbness and weakness attacks as well. She prescribed me a medicine and when I went to pick it up the pharmacist said that it could kick up my sulfa allergy. They are going to call the neurologist about another medicine. Tue, 27 May 2014 23:48:02 EST May 23rd A day after the Spinal Tap I developed a backache, dizziness, nausea and a wicked headache that they call a spinal headache. I shouldn't of exercised the day after I guess. I went to the ER last night as advised by the neurologist and they treated it as a migraine and gave me a migraine cocktail. So far it isn't as bad as it was last night so I am hoping that I don't have to go back to the ER. If I go back the next thing they are going to do is another Spinal Tap to make a blood plug to seal ... Fri, 23 May 2014 21:33:17 EST May 21st The spinal tap was a lot better than I expected it to be. The only thing I felt was the numbing shot. I was so relieved that it wasn't like m bone marrow biopsy. About a couple of hours later I got very tired an I just slept a lot. I should hear from the neurologist the results of the spinal tap and the EEG by Monday.

Wed, 21 May 2014 18:40:35 EST May 16th I have had a couple of days now where I have been felling better. I hope it continues.

I finally got a hold of the Speech Therapy department and went in for my swallow evaluation. She says I have Dysphasia level 2 and my recommended diet is thin liquids and some soft foods. Which is hat I have been doing already anyway. She wants to have another barium swallow test which is different from the one I had previously. She is to get with my doctor about getting it set up. It has been a... Fri, 16 May 2014 21:30:57 EST May 1st I am starting to crack with all the things that ate going on with me lately with my health. I am now having anxiety attacks on top of it all. Have a lot to talk about with my therapist when I see her on the 5th.

I went to the Neurologist yesterday and didn't get any answers as of yet just referrals for more tests I have to get an EEG done in which I need to be asleep for a portion of it. I have set that appointment up for the 8th. She also wants me to have a Spinal Tap to find out... Thu, 1 May 2014 22:55:55 EST April 13th, 2014 It is 19 and snowing here after a few days of temps in the 70's.

I really like my new Doctor and she has been getting me moving to specialists. I have developed some new health problems which are more than likely all part of the same problem. I am now having a hard time swallowing, I had a tube put down my throat on April 1st biopsies were taken and came back fine no cancer and no sign of infection, my throat was dilated. Before the Endoscopy I was not able to eat and was even hav... Mon, 14 Apr 2014 00:31:29 EST February 26th Today was the 28th anniversary that my late hubby and I met. I had many errands for Relay to run today to really reflect back on the day.

Tomorrow I have my MRI for the headaches that I had been having. The headache lasted for 17days. I have been headache free now about a week. I am hoping that they are still able to figure out what was causing it without me having one.

I am switching Dr.'s and clinics. I need to see a Dr. that is closer to where I live. Last time I w... Thu, 27 Feb 2014 00:36:14 EST Finally Moving Forward! I went to my Dr. today, she has ordered an MRI of my brain and brain stem I will be getting a call from the imaging place within the week to set up and appointment. I have had a constant headache for 2 weeks now it has spiked to severe a couple of times in which I went to the ER for. My 2nd ER visit they gave me a migraine cocktail via IV as well as a steroid via IV. I also got a prescription for Percoset today as well and I really hope that it works.

The neurologist office final... Tue, 18 Feb 2014 17:46:39 EST February 9th I haven't blogged in a while. Things are starting to move forward. I finally have health insurance and I just got the letter of referral in the mail today for a neurologist which just happens to be the same one I saw right after having my stroke in 2009. I am still having my numbness and weakness attacks about 3 times a week and they last for hours. I just take a nap when I have them as I am unable to do anything. It is an adventure just getting to the bed to take the nap. After my attack ha... Sun, 9 Feb 2014 02:45:01 EST November 27th Tomorrow is Thanksgiving which this year happens to fall on my late husband's birthday. Even if his birthday wasn't on Thanksgiving we celebrated his birthday on the holiday so it is bittersweet. My daughter will not be with the family this year because she has to work from 2pm-10pm. I really hope people don't go shopping on Thanksgiving and take a stand against greedy corporations having their employees working on the holiday! I really hope my daughter copes okay tomorrow.

My you... Wed, 27 Nov 2013 18:42:31 EST October 13th It is 12:15am and I am surprised that I am still awake! I have had a good couple of weeks. My car died and I traded it in and ended up getting a 2014 Chevy Cruze! I asked if they had any that were a stick and they did. I love my new car! I got it for the same payments that I had with my old car and the insurance is only $6.00 more so not bad at all! It is great on gas so much better than my old car which was a 2004 Chrysler Sebring.

I ended up raising $2,500.00 for the American C... Sun, 13 Oct 2013 02:38:42 EST October 1st Happy October! This is my favorite month of the year!
