AMBER353's SparkPeople Blog AMBER353's Blog on SparkPeople, home of free diet plans and a healthy living community Are you lonesome tonight? The un-pretty truth for some of us is... we get lonely.
My aunt is visiting my mom, so she doesn't really need me. She's having a blast.
My brother's fiance is visiting him and so he's a bit preoccupied (we expect no less)
My older kids are at the dad's house.
My 6 year old is here... but still

I am lonely.
I hate to even speak it out loud, but...
I am lonely.

We get lonely but we don't have to eat... right? Thu, 11 Feb 2010 17:15:33 EST My trainer is back and there's gonna be trouble A very dear friend of mine was a personal trainer. He moved away but has just moved back. He's gonna kick my derriere when he see's what the last 5 years look like on me.

The good news:
Great and expert workout buddy who knows all my excuses and won't put up with them.

The bad news:
He knows all my excuses and won't put up with them. (wink)

Drats and WooHoo.

I'm thankful for:
A loving friend to help motivate and keep me going on the h... Thu, 11 Feb 2010 10:24:42 EST Anger and PopTarts (maybe it's PMS) So I did the thing about telling my family about my goals when I started with great responses from the kids. I cleaned the pantry of the "bad stuff". I filled the house with easy, healthy food. I said to my housemate, "You are getting fatter and so am I and I need you "on board" for me to succeed. Please don't bring unhealthy food into my house!"

The past few weeks, the kids and everyone loved the healthy food and the fact that I'm cooking so much. They don't even notice that I'm ... Tue, 9 Feb 2010 09:28:16 EST Women over 40... NOT Andy Rooney This was an email that was said to be on 60 Minute by Andy Rooney
That isn't true

es.php

It's still kinda cool

As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few
reasons why:

A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask,
'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over
40 doesn't want to watch the game, she d... Thu, 4 Feb 2010 06:15:37 EST Chicken nugget baby Well, my daughter (19) and her boyfriend came over last night for a last minute thing and I had made a super healthy casserole. The bf picked at his and everyone else loved it. He appears to be a "chicken nugget baby" so I didn't think it was about my cooking. I know it sounds like I'm being critical (which is possible) but it made me think how grateful I am.

I'm grateful that:
-19 years ago I had a pediatrician who really made a big deal about teaching kids to eat healthy. ... Tue, 26 Jan 2010 07:45:23 EST Step this I invested in a pedometer...
Omron HJ-112 Digital Pocket Pedometer (it records regular and aerobic steps)

So I'm really wanting to step up and get a move on. I have to say that I'm getting really aware of things. Like on weekdays I take about 5k steps and on weekends I'm down to 2k. That was my sample run, now my goal for this week is to up my steps until I'm at 10k.

I pray that I up my steps and get some aerobic steps logged too.

I weigh tomorrow, I want... Sun, 24 Jan 2010 08:33:56 EST Mom Joined Spark!!! Please add caterry353 to your friend list. She's fumbling her way around like I still am. GO MOM!!! Wed, 13 Jan 2010 12:09:33 EST If it's not one thing it's your mother

I'll be at my mom's for the next two days. Today is my father's birthday and he passed away 2 years ago. It's still a hard day for my mom so I spend it with her. I know this sounds sad but it's not. I find great joy in making my mom smile and distracting her from loneliness. I think I should take her to the movies. Any suggestions?

Mom is thinking of starting Weight Watchers (which is fine) but SP is amazing so I'm gonna show her around and loan her The Spark book. Afte... Tue, 12 Jan 2010 06:53:48 EST What a wonderful world I had a wonderful Friday night. I made the version of brownies and no one knew the were good for them (or at least less bad for them). It was nice to have the house full of people. I've been sorta recluse the last few months and it felt good to be alive. I'm really thankful.

BUT (there's always a but) It's so cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stay warm ya'll Sat, 9 Jan 2010 05:43:20 EST Just getting started I'm glad that I joined spark. Still trying to find my way around.

I love that so many people enter food and I have yet to have to add one because other users have entered them.

I'm slightly sore from the strength training, but it's the good kind of sore. I need to get on track with my cardio and the cold weather in Texas shouldn't be an excuse. I pulled out the mini tramp and have in in my bedroom by the weights and sit-up machine. Hard to ignore it now.

Thu, 7 Jan 2010 05:54:02 EST
