I had decided to use the start of February as a way to restart my weight loss plans and get back on track fitness wise. I was doing really well too. I was sticking to my meal plans, more often than not, and was on track with my workouts. Then my TOM came. I struggle with clinical depression and anxiety, and my TOM has always been a bad time for me, even when I'm on medication. I just didn't think about it before hand as being a big deal but it hit me hard a... I was doing well with my workouts, not so well with my eating. I got almost all my workouts in but then just went through a stint of depression. I don't even know what to call it really, but I just had about 5 days of feeling really depressed and not being able to get out of bed unless it was to binge eat and then go back to sleep. I know what triggered the depression but it's pretty personal, so I'd rather not talk ... Sun, 10 Dec 2017 01:10:14 EST Goals for Sunday Dec 3 Just wanted to post some goals for tomorrow so I can plan for my day and visualize success in my head. Here's to a successful day tomorrow! 1. I will complete my leg workout. 2. I will pre plan my meals and stick to said meals. 3. I will implement the strategies I've come up with to defeat temptation and keep myself on track. 4. I will drink, at least, 100oz of water. 5. I will check in here with how I did. (I'll make another post and tell you guys about the strategies I've come up with ... Sat, 2 Dec 2017 21:07:06 EST Getting Back to Basics I really want to start blogging here again both for motivation and accountability. I said in my last post how I gained almost all of my weight back, and I was starting from scratch almost. Well, it's been a bit since I wrote my last post. I'm still struggling. I'm doing pretty good with my workouts. It's my nutrition that's killing me. I really need to set a meal plan and then stick to it. I'm using food for comfort and entertainment, and I have to stop. I know it's only me standing in my way... Sat, 2 Dec 2017 21:01:42 EST Not Such a Great Week The past week didn't go so well. I weighed in at 204.6 so no weight lost. I had a hard time sticking to any meal plan. I ate tons of junk every day. I did get in some good workouts though so the week wasn't a complete bust. On Sunday, I did P90X Plyometrics but then I skipped Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. I did try to rally at the end of the week by doing two really hard insanity workouts. I did Insanity Plyo Circuit on Thursday and Insanity Power and Resistance on Friday. Then I took two... Mon, 9 Oct 2017 18:47:13 EST Another 2lbs Down! Woot! Two pounds down and more inches lost! Things are looking up, my friends! 🤗 I felt the need to document this today because i struggle with chronic depression and anxiety so most days I spend battling my mind, trying change negative thoughts into positive ones, and trying to quell anxious thoughts. Not today though! Today is a good day and I'm going to treasure it. 👍🎉 Tue, 26 Sep 2017 18:33:38 EST Long Time No Blog I'm currently getting back on the exercise and healthy eating bandwagon. I fell off for awhile but I'm back now! For exercise, I'm repeating P90X because I love that program so much. It's such a well rounded program that just hits everything. I've made it to week 2 so here's a great workout week!

As far as my nutrition, I'm kind of going by IIFYM. Basically, I just that to determine my protein number I need to hit every day and then play around with my carbs and fats after that. So... Nothin' to it but to do it! 48
Mon, 9 May 2016 14:00:32 EST Day 1 Down 524 Just wanted to pop in here, and say I had a great day yesterday. Hit my macros pretty well and got my workout in despite feeling nauseous for half the workout. I powered through, though, so I'm proud of myself for that. I just kept telling myself, "You are NOT a quitter" and "Quitting is NOT in your vocabulary!" See, I even wrote it in my notebook that I keep track of my reps in.

<img src=" Tue, 19 May 2015 07:28:56 EST Updates & Back on Track Day 1 So the reason I do have a good reason why I went MIA. I can't go into too much detail but I have been dealing with someone very close to me that is suicidal. They tried to commit suicide last week but they are okay now. I have been dealing with that and just all my goals went to crap. I was emotionally eating all week last week and only worked out once or twice. Since everything is more settled with that and that person is doing better, I think I'm ready to start my goals again.

I ... Thu, 16 Apr 2015 05:52:34 EST Thank You! & Some Updates I just wanted to say thanks a bunch to those of you that commented on my bingeing post. I am going to take some time to visit everyone's blogs today. I am still struggling with the bingeing but I will keep you updated on what I find works for me. I don't binge every day or there is no way I would have been able to maintain what I have lost but I do binge quite frequently which is why I think I am at a plateau.

When I lost the first chunk of my weight about 40lbs, I think, I was no... Thu, 16 Apr 2015 05:42:50 EST Bingeing Hey guys! Long time, no post. Sorry about that. My laptop went kaput and I hate blogging on anything else so I wasn't even able to update my blog really for a long time. But I recently purchased a new laptop so I'm back in business! :)

So the last time I was on here, I was doing the Advocare 24 Day Challenge. Well I finished that some time ago and will have to do a review of that soon. Right now I wanted to talk about something I've been struggling with lately, bingeing or is it bi... Tue, 14 Apr 2015 11:01:11 EST Down 5 Pounds!! I am a happy camper this morning because when I hopped on the scale it said . .

168, people! My weight one week ago was 173.8. That's a loss of 5.8 lbs in one week. And I've been eating plenty of healthy food including whole grains. Yep those evil grains. 211 The only things I've been avoiding are most overly processed foods, large amounts of sugar, and any white processed breads/pasta/rice ... Wed, 28 Jan 2015 12:22:00 EST Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 3 So it's coming to the end of day three on the 24 day challenge, and I am still feeling great! I think this is exactly what I needed to get me back on track. I also forgot to give everyone my before pics, weight, and measurements.

I hate sharing these because they highlight some of the weight I've gained back but that's life. Nobody's perfect. The most important thing is that you don't give up. If you notice yourself eating all the fried/fatty food and sweets and gaining weight, th... Fri, 23 Jan 2015 19:33:50 EST Advocare 24 Day Challenge: Day 1 So I decided against getting a fitbit at this time and decided to do the Advocare 24 Day Challenge instead. I've never had trouble keeping up with my fitness. I love to workout. It's my eating that is out of control. That's where this challenge comes in. It's a clean eating challenge that has two phases, a cleanse phase and then a max phase. You still eat the same on the cleanse phase so it isn't one of those only drink juices thing or only protein and veggies, etc. You just focus on healthy ... Wed, 21 Jan 2015 18:50:33 EST Thanks Guys! Thanks for all the tips on activity trackers! Sorry it took me a minute to get back to ya. I've been feeling a little depressed and unmotivated the past few days. This weather has really done a number on me. Here in my part of Texas, we have been hit with snow/ice storms and I am sick of being in this house. I might be able to get out today as the snow has melted and it's supposed to be slightly warmer (40's). I better get out today because it's supposed to just get even colder the rest of th... Tue, 6 Jan 2015 08:12:16 EST Spark Activity Tracker? Who has one and do you like it? What about fitbit? Which should I get or do I need both? I can't afford both right now but I could get both in time. I've been using my phone to track my steps but that is a real pain in the booty. I've only used it one day but it's hard to carry that thing around every time you move. I do have a arm holder thing I got for Christmas. See pic.

But I don't like wearing that... Fri, 2 Jan 2015 20:10:30 EST Happy New Year! First of all, Happy New Year my Spark Buddies!

That pic above is what I did on New Year's Eve. Spent the night on my sofa and it was a good decision because today I am refreshed and raring to go, not hungover/feeling like death and still in bed.

So I thought, I would post my goals for this year cause that is the thing to do on New Year's is it not? So I will be cliche and follow along. ;)

M... Thu, 1 Jan 2015 16:28:28 EST Getting Back on Track Hey guys, I think I will start posting here again regularly. I really need the accountability. I have fallen off the wagon over the holidays. I was doing really well and then both my daughter and I came down with the flu. You would think this would help me lose weight but nope. I actually didn't have any nausea or anything like that with this flu. It was just fever, body aches, and coughing/congestion. My appetite did not go anywhere though and I was only eating comfort food. Also, I couldn't... Sat, 27 Dec 2014 13:15:50 EST Christmas Survey! Hey long time no see, friends! My last blog entry was June 3. Not good. I hope everyone has been doing well. I'm going to the dr tomorrow for my yearly lab work on my thyroid. and I'm a little worried about what the scale will say. I've been a little off track lately. Actually, make that A LOT off track. I haven't worked out in a week and a half. 40 2 This has to be the longest I've gone without working out in forever. And my eating hasn't been that great. I'm now back down to 171. I am 3lbs away from moving from the obese to the overweight category so I'm looking forward to that! Also, looking forward to being in the 160's again because I haven't been there since about 2006. Tue, 27 May 2014 21:09:50 EST Update With Some More Progress Pics Sorry, I haven't been on. I've been active on IG cause it's easy to update from my phone but not here. After I write this, I plan on making my rounds to everyone's blogs. Want to see how you guys are doing!

As for me, I haven't been doing too well eating wise. My grandmother was in the hospital all week last week so things got a bit crazy around here. They thought she had a slight stroke but turned out it was just pneumonia that had went into her bloodstream. Thank goodness she is... Tue, 27 May 2014 19:13:15 EST Goals for the Rest of This Week and Month Well, I have missed 4 days of working out! 4! I know I need a break after my grueling two a days on little sleep but 4 was taking it a little too far. I should've stopped with 2 days off. 4 days for me is just being lazy. So time to get back on track!

Here's my workout plan and goals for the rest of this week.

Workouts - I'm going to do my plan backwards because I skipped Legs and Back last week. I never skip that so I want to start with that one and work my way back. ... Tue, 13 May 2014 11:33:41 EST A Update With Some Progress Pics Well, I've lost another 2 pounds! Woo Hoo! Wasn't expecting that really because I binged two times this week. But that is a heck of a lot better than everyday. And I've been killing it with my workouts so that probably helped out with the bingeing. I'm really proud of myself for yesterday because instead of bingeing I just had a couple of handfuls of the chips that I wanted. They weren't in my plan but I just adjusted what I was eating that day to account for the calories. I'm just really hap... Sat, 10 May 2014 22:45:13 EST What's Helping Me Stop Binge Eating I didn't really go into much detail about my binge eating in my other post so decided to make a separate one. In an earlier blog post, I outlined some things I was going to try if I felt like bingeing. I think I said I was going to write a blog post, do my nails, read motivational quotes, etc. I tried the motivational quotes and getting on instagram and just looking at motivational pages which really seemed to help. Also, looking at my goals that I wrote down seemed to help refocus me too. I ... Sun, 4 May 2014 21:55:47 EST Hey, Hey! Everybody! So I haven't posted a blog in a couple of weeks so need to correct that for sure. The last time I weighed in I lost, 2 more pounds! Holla!! I was so happy to see that! The inches are down a little too. I've really been working hard on my eating, and I know that's the reason for the weight coming off. Once I finally committed to really working on my eating, I started to see results again. Diet is #1. I can't say that enough!

So I guess I'll go over how I've been doing since the las... Sun, 4 May 2014 19:56:51 EST Last Week in Review This past week has just sucked. For some reason this week, my depression has flared up and I just didn't have the motivation to do anything. I just didn't care if I worked out, ate right, lost weight, nothing. This happens a lot around this TOM. I haven't started yet but about a week to a week and half before this happens. My diet has been really bad for a couple days this week. The rest of the week, I didn't do too badly. I missed a lot of my workouts but this was supposed to be an easy/reco... Sat, 26 Apr 2014 16:59:39 EST Goals For the Week Since it's Monday, I guess I'll put up my goals for the week. I slacked on my diet both Saturday and Sunday but I am back on track as of now. Holidays are hard on a person's diet. I should've went into the holiday prepared but I didn't so next holiday, I'll have a plan and that should help. :)

Now for my goals. Stick to my calorie limit at least 6 out of 7 days.

Don't go crazy on that 7th day.

Plan my meals out each day and stick to them.

Drink ... Mon, 21 Apr 2014 22:23:20 EST Yesterday Was a Fail! :( Well, yesterday was kind of a fail. At least, I got that first good workout in. There is something to be said about working out first thing in the morning.

I ended up with a migraine that would not go away yesterday so I missed my chest, shoulders, tri workout, and my eating was terrible. I was just tired and cranky yesterday so yeah. Didn't meet my goals. I am not happy when that happens but I also know that is life. Things happen, and you just have to pick yourself up and start... Mon, 17 Mar 2014 14:50:57 EST A Little Update Thought I would stop in and give a little update to how I am doing. I think I am finally getting on board the healthy eating train again. For about five days now, I've been eating really good with no bingeing. No bingeing!! Holla!! It's so hard to get back into that healthy eating mind set. This time around I am doing some things differently though. If I am really craving something and I can fit it into my calories for the day, then I eat it. This seems to help me keep from bingeing later. I ... Wed, 19 Feb 2014 23:37:11 EST I Found An Alternative to Hot Cheetos! I'm so excited guys! Sat, 15 Feb 2014 14:00:36 EST A Workout Playlist Music pumps me up like nothing else, and since I'm always looking for new songs to add to my workout playlists I thought I would share some of my favorite songs to workout to right now.

I love hip hop/rap and rock to workout to so some of these songs have some pretty graphic language. So you might want to try to find a clean version of some of these songs if you are bothered by that. I'm not easily offended so I just listen to the original versions.

So onto some of my ... Wed, 5 Feb 2014 18:58:32 EST Gluten Free Update I just realized I never updated anyone on the whole gluten free thing. I figured out that I gluten was not causing the swelling and bloating. It's more of the processed foods and eating too much at one time. Not as in eating too many calories at once but eating large volumes of food at once. I don't know why but it makes me swell. If it's healthy stuff, the swelling goes down after an hour or two so there's that. I also was not really calculating my sodium intake correctly. I thought I was t...
