I haven't been active for a really long time. I've still been doing my fitness and trying to eat well (emphasis on the trying) and logging that stuff but just not active with anything else. I did start my own blog on blogger because I wanted to be able to connect with more people and if you blog on here, the only people who can comment are members. I would love for you guys to check out my new blog if you'd like. :)

Here's the link ---->
amandaunb... Thu, 30 Oct 2014 20:09:48 EST Been AwayToo Long! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5726495 OMG! My last blog entry was June 3. Not good. I hope everyone has been doing well. I'm going to the dr tomorrow for my yearly lab work on my thyroid. and I'm a little worried about what the scale will say. I've been a little off track lately. Actually, make that A LOT off track. I haven't worked out in a week and a half. 40 2 This has to be the longest I've gone without working out in forever. And my eating hasn't been that great. I'm getting back on the wagon today th... I know my goal was to lose 4 but I am always thrilled to see any loss so I'll take this. I'm now back down to 171. I am 3lbs away from moving from the obese to the overweight category so I'm looking forward to that! Also, looking forward to being in the 160's again because I haven't been there since about 2006. My measurements are down slightly too so that makes me happy.

New Measurements:

NECK: 14 (no change)

CHEST: 34.5 (down 1/2 an i... I've been active on IG cause it's easy to update from my phone but not here. After I write this, I plan on making my rounds to everyone's blogs. Want to see how you guys are doing!

As for me, I haven't been doing too well eating wise. My grandmother was in the hospital all week last week so things got a bit crazy around here. They thought she had a slight stroke but turned out it was just pneumonia that had went into her bloodstream. Thank goodness she is... Tue, 27 May 2014 19:13:15 EST Goals for the Rest of This Week and Month http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5694124 Well, I have missed 4 days of working out! 4! I know I need a break after my grueling two a days on little sleep but 4 was taking it a little too far. I should've stopped with 2 days off. 4 days for me is just being lazy. So time to get back on track!

Here's my workout plan and goals for the rest of this week.

Workouts - I'm going to do my plan backwards because I skipped Legs and Back last week. I never skip that so I want to start with that one and work my way back. ... Tue, 13 May 2014 11:33:41 EST A Update With Some Progress Pics http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5692272 Well, I've lost another 2 pounds! Woo Hoo! Wasn't expecting that really because I binged two times this week. But that is a heck of a lot better than everyday. And I've been killing it with my workouts so that probably helped out with the bingeing. I'm really proud of myself for yesterday because instead of bingeing I just had a couple of handfuls of the chips that I wanted. They weren't in my plan but I just adjusted what I was eating that day to account for the calories. I'm just really hap... Sat, 10 May 2014 22:45:13 EST What's Helping Me Stop Binge Eating http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5687531 I didn't really go into much detail about my binge eating in my other post so decided to make a separate one. In an earlier blog post, I outlined some things I was going to try if I felt like bingeing. I think I said I was going to write a blog post, do my nails, read motivational quotes, etc. I tried the motivational quotes and getting on instagram and just looking at motivational pages which really seemed to help. Also, looking at my goals that I wrote down seemed to help refocus me too. I ... Sun, 4 May 2014 21:55:47 EST Hey, Hey! Everybody! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5687434 So I haven't posted a blog in a couple of weeks so need to correct that for sure. The last time I weighed in I lost, 2 more pounds! Holla!! I was so happy to see that! The inches are down a little too. I've really been working hard on my eating, and I know that's the reason for the weight coming off. Once I finally committed to really working on my eating, I started to see results again. Diet is #1. I can't say that enough!

So I guess I'll go over how I've been doing since the las... Sun, 4 May 2014 19:56:51 EST Last Week in Review http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5681087 This past week has just sucked. For some reason this week, my depression has flared up and I just didn't have the motivation to do anything. I just didn't care if I worked out, ate right, lost weight, nothing. This happens a lot around this TOM. I haven't started yet but about a week to a week and half before this happens. My diet has been really bad for a couple days this week. The rest of the week, I didn't do too badly. I missed a lot of my workouts but this was supposed to be an easy/reco... I slacked on my diet both Saturday and Sunday but I am back on track as of now. Holidays are hard on a person's diet. I should've went into the holiday prepared but I didn't so next holiday, I'll have a plan and that should help. :)

Now for my goals. At least, I got that first good workout in. There is something to be said about working out first thing in the morning.

I ended up with a migraine that would not go away yesterday so I missed my chest, shoulders, tri workout, and my eating was terrible. I was just tired and cranky yesterday so yeah. Didn't meet my goals. I am not happy when that happens but I also know that is life. Things happen, and you just have to pick yourself up and start... Hopefully, you are all working hard and meeting those goals! I have been having a pretty good week myself. Yesterday, I stuck to my calorie goals. I think I am finally getting on board the healthy eating train again. For about five days now, I've been eating really good with no bingeing. No bingeing!! Holla!! It's so hard to get back into that healthy eating mind set. This time around I am doing some things differently though. If I am really craving something and I can fit it into my calories for the day, then I eat it. This seems to help me keep from bingeing later. I ... So you might want to try to find a clean version of some of these songs if you are bothered by that. Wed, 5 Feb 2014 18:58:32 EST Gluten Free Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5613346 I just realized I never updated anyone on the whole gluten free thing. I figured out that I gluten was not causing the swelling and bloating. It's more of the processed foods and eating too much at one time. Not as in eating too many calories at once but eating large volumes of food at once. I don't know why but it makes me swell. If it's healthy stuff, the swelling goes down after an hour or two so there's that. I also was not really calculating my sodium intake correctly. I thought I was t... I think I did pretty well but there is definitely room for improvement.

7
First my measurements are the same. Since last July! Eek! So let's catch up. :) I have been doing really well with the fitness aspect of my healthy journey. I have kept up with my workouts and try never to go more than three days without a workout. I plan for 6 days of workouts but as we all know life gets in the way. I average about 4 workouts a week but I am going to try to step that up in the New Year.

As for my eating, well that has been a ... Tue, 14 Jan 2014 14:06:29 EST Week 6 Review and Going Gluten Free http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5422132 I wanted to do a quick update on how P90X is going. I'm still doing well. I didn't do so well with my sugar free challenge and really did not succeed with it. But I think it was because I was going at it in weight loss/look better mode and not doing it for my health. When you're doing something for the wrong reasons, it usually does end up failing. So I'm going to approach things a little differently from here on out when it comes to food. I'm going to try my hardest anyway. 41 <... Mon, 15 Jul 2013 17:18:18 EST Week 5 in Review http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5412535 Well after I do yoga today, I will have finished up my fifth week of P90X! Still loving it!
We are back to the weights this week, and I upped my weights a little too. I am sore though! I haven't really been sore in the past with this program but I am pretty sore today. Not can't move sore, but still sore. I did Stretch X after Kenpo X yesterday just work out some of that tightness. It helped a lot.

I'm also grouchy! Sat, 6 Jul 2013 16:27:40 EST Confession http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5411538 Well, I didn't do so well yesterday with my challenge. I ate 2 cupcakes. 39 I was ok with it at first saying to myself, I'll just start over tomorrow but then my daughter saw me and got really mad. I have these sticky notes that I've placed on my calendar that I am marking off the days I've went without sugar and she grabbed that off and said, "You don't even deserve this!" And tore it in half. lol I'm sorry. I know it isn't funny but she's like my own little Bob or other personal... Fri, 5 Jul 2013 13:17:27 EST Kick Your Sweet Tooth Challenge! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5409553 Since I started Spark, I think the one habit I've really been able to stick with is fitness. I LOVE working out and working out hard. I love being active. I know I will be doing this the rest of my life. And while yes I am working towards a better body looks wise and to drop weight, that is not why I work out. I work out because I enjoy being an athlete. I enjoy pushing my body and seeing what it can do, and I love the feeling after a good hard workout. I'm hooked on working out and that's no... I'm still scratching my head at that one.

So an update for ya. Last week was kind of a bust. It was supposed to be an easier week, and I took that a little too far. What do you think about this article from Jillian Michaels. It makes sense. I actually like eating bigger meals because I do feel more satisfied but I always thought I should try to eat several small meals a day to boost my metabolism. Maybe, that is not necessary afterall? Below are the main points of the article. Tell me what you think? Do you think eating several small meals a day is better and increases your metabolism? Mon, 17 Jun 2013 21:55:07 EST 2 Weeks and 2 Pounds Down! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5391026 Well, I am starting the 3rd week of P90X today. I am very excited with my results so far. My diet has not been good. I've indulged in a lot of things I shouldn't have and overate a couple of days each week but I still managed to lose two pounds and some inches! I can't imagine how much I could have lost if I had stuck to eating really cleanly. I am fine with the results though because this is something that I can maintain. I'm able to indulge in things I like like some chocolate or a cookie o... Sun, 16 Jun 2013 17:30:43 EST Review of Sunday Workout and Eats http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5384035 I'm really proud of myself for my eating today. I've stuck to my meal plan almost completely. I had 3 chocolate covered almonds at my mom's house but that's it. You see that's where I get tempted everyday. My mom lives next door and since I am a single mother and only have one child, we always eat dinner over there. It's just nicer having a big family around the dinner table instead of just the two of us eating alone. So, anyways, they always have tons of goodies over there and it is hard to ... I'm writing this after midnight so it's Saturday already and my rest day. It'll be the second one I took this week so I might get in a light workout when I get up on Saturday. I dont' know yet. It'll be 30 minutes of Coach Nicole's cardio workouts or something like that and some stretching. They are pretty easy for me so I might do that. We'll see.

So here's a review for how I did this past week.

Workouts 319

I must say I ... It was nice, and I'm ready to go again today!

On the schedule is Legs and Back and Ab Ripper X. Sun, 2 Jun 2013 19:57:18 EST A Year in Review and a Plan to Get Back on Track and Reach My Goals! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5375250 7 Well, I have been plugging away on this weight loss thing for a full year now and have had some successes and some failures but I have finally decided I am ready to commit 100% to both my fitness and my diet. I have been giving 100 to 110% on fitness lately, and I'm proud of how far I've come in that. Diet, on the other hand, is where I have crashed and burned and we all know that's what makes or breaks any weight loss goals. I am ready to get back on this weight loss track thoug... Sun, 2 Jun 2013 03:47:51 EST Week April 28 - May 4 in Review With Pics! http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5347958 I thought I would post an update to how I am doing with my plan. I am doing very well being committed to my fitness plan. I have been doing the 30 Day Shred with 5 lb weights and today I completed my 6th day on Level 2. It's still very hard for me but it is easier than it was on the first day. I still have to stop to catch my breath a couple of times but I don't let myself pause for longer than a count of 10 or 15 (this is fast counting in my head). I pause the video while I catch my breath s... For the past three weeks, I've been going strong though! And this past week, I decided to start doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. I've been doing two days of the shred, one day of an hour cardio like tae bo or some other exercise dvd, two days of the shred again, and one rest day. I'm also using five pound weights. I just co... Fri, 18 Jan 2013 07:02:55 EST Just a Little Update http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5211691 So this is what's been happening the past two days. Tuesday, I was lazy and did not do my scheduled workout. I didn't sleep well the night before and was exhausted all day. Then yesterday, I got up and ate the most horrendous breakfast possible. A glazed pastry thing similar to a honeybun and two small blueberry muffins. 640 calories right there and 30 grams of fat!! When I put that in the tracker, it freaked me out and I was determined to turn the day around. I planned out the rest of my mea... Thu, 17 Jan 2013 14:41:07 EST Review of Monday http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5208015 So there was good and there was bad. . lol

I did my P90X Core Syn. workout again. It was really tough but I did it all including the bonus round. So I'm proud of myself for that.

Now for the bad, well, I didn't do as well as I wanted on my diet. But I did stay within my calorie range. My daughter and I ate dinner with my parents which we do a lot because it's just the two of us and they are just next door so it's a nice family time. My mom made homemade chilli. But it ... Tue, 15 Jan 2013 09:05:44 EST Starting P90X Again . . http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5206379 Well, I never did get back into P90X. I kept feeling tired and out of it and had a hard time getting back to feeling better. I did tae bo the day before yesterday but nothing else. Sooo I'm just going to start over but this will be the ONLY time I am starting over. It's balls to the walls this time! If I get really sick again, I'll take time off but I promise this time to get right back into it as soon as I feel better. No more excuses! And no more eating crappy! That's another thing I've bee... Mon, 14 Jan 2013 09:48:33 EST Sick . . http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=5197895 Well, I've been sick the past couple of days so I am way behind on my workouts. I am planning on starting week 2 tomorrow. I don't know if I should start all over with the workouts or just keep going forward. I was supposed to start week 1 Sunday but have been sick and not able too. The plan calls for the same set of workouts for the first three weeks anyway, so I'm trying to decide whether I should do another three weeks or just continue with what I was doing which will just be 2 more weeks ...
