I feel like if I have a bit of a challenge and am held a little more accountable for my weekly weight loss, this could really benefit me in reaching my goals.

During the next 10 weeks I hope to lose weight and become more in tune with my body. Learning what works and what doesn't will help me greatly. I'm still learning what the appropriate workout limit is. I can work out and burn 1000 plus calories in a session and not lose a p... Fri, 14 Feb 2014 13:17:21 EST Restarting my 100 day challenge... fell off the wagon. Well the first week went so well and after a mishap of giving in, I got right back on my juicing wagon and am at it again. However, even with my mess up I still lost 2.4 pounds this week.

I was emotional and just having a stressful week and gave in to eating. It's amazes me daily how my will power to do this can be swayed so easily.

I went to see a movie with my husband and had made the point of not eating. I drank an extra large glass of juice so that I could fight the... Tue, 4 Feb 2014 13:20:45 EST Trying not to gag while drinking a glass of the " Healthy Stuff" Its been one week since I started my 100 day juice reboot and have lost 13.1 pounds. While I am happy with the loss this week, I'm even more happy with what I have learned.

If you have never done a juice fast before, here is a small glimpse at what happens. You go from eating to not eating but drinking your calories. All of which comes from freshly juiced fruits and vegetables, mostly vegetables. You will convince yourself that you are taking the right steps, that wont taste as ba... Mon, 27 Jan 2014 14:21:08 EST My 100 Day Challenge: Day 1 My 100 day challenge is a 100 day reboot with juice. There are many out there who have seen the documentary " Fat, Sick and Nearly dead" and if you haven't I would highly recommend it. It's a documentary describing how increasing out Micro-nutrient foods(our fruits and vegetables) we can significantly change our bodies and help them for the best. I have discussed this before and can not rave enough about the amazing changes I have seen when I do this.

Now I have tried this before... Tue, 21 Jan 2014 19:05:02 EST Weight loss pics so far

It's that time again to post the photos. This month feels like I had hardly any progress. can see some differences but not a lot like before. I have been so busy with work and visiting family that it has taken away from my workouts that I would like to do. I only did cardio this month instead of my resistance and weight training. I feel disappointed that I didn't give it all I had...but am pleased that I continue... Tue, 30 Jul 2013 10:39:26 EST Starting Fresh...again. So I lost complete motivation for the past 5 days. I ate out everyday, didn't workout, didn't really get much needed sleep and was just in a funk. I hyper-extended one of my knees during a workout last week and have been trying to let it heal. However, during my healing time I just let go. I know I should have been more strict and followed my regular routine while not working out but it was hard. Since I starting this I had been diligent about not eating out and making fresh food at home, it ... Tue, 16 Jul 2013 12:26:19 EST 15 Week Challenge Today is the start of My "Sexy Body Challenge" . I will be focusing for the next 15 weeks on doing everything I can to get a sexy look for our vacation, feeling more confident and losing more weight. I would like to lose at least 62 pounds for a total of 100 pounds lost( in 6 months) by vacation. I'm determined, focused and I do believe it is possible if I keep going. My BIG goal is to be out of the 300's by vacation, but I'm trying to push myself reasonably.

Each week I will be ... Mon, 1 Jul 2013 17:45:32 EST Crash diet approved by Dr. Oz? So recently there was a Woman's World magazine issue that featured Dr. Oz ,on the front it had a caption about the only crash diet that doctor Oz approved of. I found it intriguing that it was on the cover of the magazine at my local health food store. I stood there a while thinking that I wasn't going to pick it up and read it. I was making progress and doing it the healthy way. I didn't need my head filled with inappropriate suggestions to lose weight quickly. I continued to read the cover ... Thu, 20 Jun 2013 13:06:30 EST A runner in the making After some long deliberations and watching a few old Biggest Loser episodes, I've decided that I'm going to start training for my first 5k ever. I use to run in high school for track and soccer, but after splitting my knee cap in half( slammed it into a goal post during a game) and recovery I never started again. It still causes me pain to this day. However, changes, challenges and new beginnings are never easy.

I watched some old episodes where they make some fairly large people ... Wed, 19 Jun 2013 13:50:03 EST Stressful week I have been so busy that i have had a hard time trying to stay on track. My sister in-law graduated from college so I had that, her party, spending time with my mom, going to the Hanuman festival, fathers day and spending time with my brother who has been helping put out the fires here, stressing about family I have in the hospital, not to mention living my normal life between working and trying to spend what little time I have with my husband. I'm pooped! I have continued to eat healthy bu... Tue, 18 Jun 2013 15:49:29 EST I love Myself enough to make a change...but am afraid of the outcome. Let me start this by saying I know I'm healthier than I was a month ago. I know that the decisions I have been making are the best ones I could be making for myself and my health. The fear of succeeding has been messing with my head recently. I keep thinking about the outcome and what it might be like when I finally lose all my weight. I imagine I will be more confident, happier, stronger, healthier and just have a better outlook. I also imagine what it would be like to be skinny. I think abo... Fri, 7 Jun 2013 13:48:56 EST Moving on Well its Monday, it's June, it's summer time, and I changed my mind yet again! I originally did the juice fast for 13 days, broke once, and then started another juice fast. I had decided that I was going to do this for 100 days. I've made it less than a week into my second attempt and I'm done. I'm tired of juice. I wont stop drinking my green juice, I just can't have it for every meal every day. So I've decided just to go back to my plant based vegan diet and just doing that while trying to ... Tue, 4 Jun 2013 02:19:27 EST Taking a chance on healing myself I found out what was wrong with me almost 6 months ago and was put on 5 different medications. All medications that would cause my body to do things that it should naturally do. Without researching or looking for alternative ways I decided that I would take the medications and see if they would help.

I won't lie, some helped, others made me very ill. After some thinking 2 months ago I took myself off 2 medications( 1 being Metformin) leaving me with 3 others. Last month was the fi... Thu, 30 May 2013 02:41:56 EST --This blog will not be one of my finer moments-- --This blog will not be one of my finer moments--

I broke today... I have just felt beat up and tired and have just been crying for the last 3 days. I don't know what happened and I don't know why I'm so emotional. I was doing so well even after writing a blog this morning about my success with this weeks weight loss and how my husband helped me through the hard time on Friday. I blew it...screwed up...I did it again!

Why is weight loss so freakin' hard.

Why... Tue, 28 May 2013 00:37:08 EST An Emotional Breakdown This is a compilation for days 9-11

Well, no one said it would be easy.... But I felt I had gotten past the real struggles. In the back of my mind I knew that events might be difficult, but they just were brutal. My Husband had a 4 day weekend and it was the first he had in a very long time. I was thrilled we were going to have more time together.

Besides it being Memorial Day weekend his birthday was coming up in this current week and we had decided that celebrating it ... Mon, 27 May 2013 13:39:48 EST Day 8 and going great Well its the end of day 8 and every thing seems to be going a little more smoothly. I still want to eat food out of habit but the cravings and temptation was not as bad as yesterday. I look at going into this weekend as a challenge. My husband has a three day weekend and with him being home more means cooking more and more temptations.

He is understanding of my struggles and willing to help me. I don't see a way that he can help me yet. If he takes over cooking his food than I nev... Fri, 24 May 2013 00:22:18 EST Day 7 of Reboot and plotting to sneak food? I meant to get this in last night, but felt it was best to be no where near the kitchen. So, I went to bed. Last night, I was having some real issues on this reboot. For some reason it was like I was trying to self sabotage and plotted how to sneak some food. It was such a mind game last night. For the first time I felt like I was in one of those cartoons that show the angel and devil on the character's shoulder. I stood over the stove cooking my husbands dinner, fighting with myself. It was ... Thu, 23 May 2013 12:31:58 EST Day 6 of Reboot Today is Day 6 and its keeps looking up from here. Im feeling better daily and am so happy with the decision I made to start this. There really is nothing bad I can report about today's juicing. NO side effects and the juices taste better every day that I have them . I feel really refreshed in the morning and don't have the tiredness creep in in the afternoon anymore. Its amazing what all happens in just under 1 week.

I will say that it does make it a little difficult watching show... Tue, 21 May 2013 22:03:48 EST My juicing combos So after several request, I've decided to make a blog about the combinations of fruits and vegetables i use for my juicing. When doing my research about the reboot I have noticed that green drinks are the best for you and they will help the most with my weight loss. However, there are benefits of having a wide variety of colored fruits and veggies in your juicing as well. So I will include a few combinations of fruits and veggies that I use and why.

For myself I know that there are... Tue, 21 May 2013 17:32:22 EST Day 5 of juice fast and things are looking clearer So its day five of this juice fast and things are going pretty good. I can say that its been easier every day I continue this reboot. The nice things that I have noticed is that my skin is clearer, I have more energy and feel good over all. Something I didn't notice was that my eyes are clearer. My husband actually stared at me today and said " Wow, your eyes are the clearest I have seen in a long time!" That was such a nice surprise. When I took the time to really look at them, they are clea... Tue, 21 May 2013 02:26:42 EST Day 3 and 4 of Juice Reboot Got distracted yesterday forgot to post yesterdays juice fast. So today i will be posting about both.

Day 3:

Today I felt better than the day before. It seems to be getting a little better each day. The breakouts are clearing up and feeling like I can do more throughout my day. I did have some headaches but as soon as I started juicing I felt better. Nothing to big to report from the last few days. Not hungry anymore and looking forward to my juices. Some juices are gett... Sun, 19 May 2013 21:56:33 EST Day 2 of Juice Reboot Well one more day down and plenty to go. I have to say I'm feeling a little better now that my day is almost over. I did wake up with a headache and felt that my joints were sore and stiff. All these things are mentioned as side effects of detoxing. After several drinks later and plenty of water it continued to clear up and I felt better throughout the day.

I did notice that I had more energy than usual, a nice surprise. I managed to get some things done today that I've been putt... Sat, 18 May 2013 03:30:58 EST Day 1 of Juice reboot Well I meant to get this up last night, but it looks like Sparkpeople was having some issue. So here it is now :)

Day 1:

I will say that I think this is a lot of work. It's much different than just grabbing something quick and convenient and getting on with your day. I will also say there are really some veggies and fruits that really shouldn't be put together. I'm approaching this head on making sure that I drink lots of green juice with the occasional fruit added. Tryi... Fri, 17 May 2013 12:59:28 EST My starting pictures and new commitment

This is me and I'm ashamed.

I've never shown anyone pictures of myself like this but I feel this is the best course. I'm holding myself accountable for how I look. Yes there are things that have happened that have caused my weight gain but that is not the only thing to be blamed, I blame mysel... Thu, 16 May 2013 02:13:03 EST Preparing for the storm Within the last two weeks I have lost 14.8 pounds and am thrilled! I have a lot of weight to lose. But I'm here to do the work . And when you do the work it pays off in the end. My goal this next week is to keep going and do what I can. Ideally I would like to lose enough weight that I'm out of the 390's and into the 80's.

This coming week will be one that I'm dreading. Its not with my normal schedule. Work picks up again, I have court this week on Thursday and Mother's day celebr... Sun, 5 May 2013 23:12:03 EST Just One Bite" This is my second week and I'm determined to pull an awesome number for weigh in this next Monday. It's day two of my new vegan, gluten free, limited sugar, no caffeine lifestyle. Now, I did great all morning and afternoon. I had my steel cut oats in the morning, my 36 oz of homemade green juice and almonds and some crackers. I was even good through dinner, no issues., even turned down dessert.

It was after dinner I went to make my husband and bagel and cream cheese for his breakf... Tue, 30 Apr 2013 23:18:50 EST My Game Plan #2 My Game Plan Pledge: I will complete seven of these in a row to review and see how I did at the end of the week. I'm doing this to see where I can improve and where I'm headed in the right direction. 5 more to go.

I will follow a vegan and gluten free diet, with minimal sugar and no caffeine.
Accomplished, but difficult today. Blog to follow....

I will take the dog for a walk in the morning after breakfast and then after dinner. Remember, even if I'm tired, its no... Tue, 30 Apr 2013 22:45:40 EST Using the past to guide my future The mental part of losing weight often times deals with you realizing why you have put on weight. Why did you let yourself go? Do you even know? This took a long time for me. There are lots of reasons, but when I look back to when the weight really started piling on, it was because of what i will share with you today.

*I truly feel I have dealt with the situation and no where the problem is for me, but have not forgotten and may not have fully forgiven, though I want too*
<... Tue, 30 Apr 2013 13:48:50 EST The Game Plan #1 My Game Plan Pledge:

I will follow a vegan and gluten free diet, with minimal sugar and no caffeine.
Completed!

I will take the dog for a walk in the morning after breakfast and then after dinner. Remember, even if I'm tired, its not for me, its for the dog.
I only did the morning, my husband then took him for his evening walk. This is fine with me as long as the dog gets his walks.

I will try my best to improve each workout and add a little time... Tue, 30 Apr 2013 00:22:41 EST My Dogs Fat Over The Weekend:

My dog's fat, really?! I know that my weight not only effects myself but my family and quality of life. But I never really thought about it when it came to my dog, Shadow, who has put on a significant amount of weight. His harness hardly fits him any more. Over the winter season, I kept telling my husband that it was his winter weight and that it wasn't a big deal. This statement was slightly true because he doesn't go out as much during the winter.

We... Mon, 29 Apr 2013 14:10:48 EST The gym was awful As you know I'm having a competition with my husband( read previous blog if you would like to know more) and yesterday was our first day back to the gym. I was prepared and really excited to start again. That all changed five minutes in on the elliptical... actually it was more like three minutes in,you get the idea. My mind said you can rock this out and do 20 minutes, that's not that long, and it would be over before you knew it. My body said that it was way too much. My husband was on the ... Thu, 25 Apr 2013 12:44:34 EST A Little Competition First off, let me just state that I'm a very competitive person, it's in my blood. I like to work hard and win. But this time I have to win! My husband and I were taking our measurements yesterday and prepping our weight loss journals so that we would be prepared for today. Today is our first day to the gym. The same gym that we have had a pass to for the last year and some odd months and haven't gone. We started off strong the last time but life and excuses got in the way. We gave up and the... Wed, 24 Apr 2013 14:51:35 EST Planning a vacation 6 Months away...Oh the hesitations! My husband and I have decided that we need a break away from our hectic lives and need some time together. Now I had mixed feelings about this right off the bat when we first began talking about it. He said he wanted it to be one of those romantic getaways. Something we would just do to get to get close and enjoy each other. Sounded fun until he told me his ideas :(

He wants to go swimming, window shopping, hiking, nice dinners and whatever else seems pops in his head. Red flags p... Tue, 23 Apr 2013 12:01:36 EST My Story I have always been bigger but was always active. The need for change was due to the following story....

This all started because my husband and I were trying to have children. We were excited but after a long time nothing happened. I also noticed that since I had stopped birth control I had not had a period. After 14 months of not cycle it was time to see someone. On top of that I was in pain. I felt like someone was stabbing me in my pelvis and that my ovaries were being squ... Mon, 22 Apr 2013 15:16:10 EST
