Wed, 28 Mar 2012 22:27:16 EST Finally Back on Track Geez, over the holiday season I felt like I just gave up on this whole new lifestyle I have created for myself. All I ended up doing was making myself feel sluggish, stressed out and irritable. I'm not normally a person who believes in making excuses about why you can't do something but I was Queen of the excuses over the holidays, it wasn't pretty.

Not anymore, I am restarting the Jamie Eason LiveFit program. 12 weeks of creating a new body for myself. I don't have a lot of we... Wed, 4 Jan 2012 14:52:28 EST What Am I Doing... I have been on Spark for a little over a year now, tracking all my fitness minutes reading blogs and articles and making sure I get my workouts in and am careful about what I eat. Over these last 2 weeks I have completely derailed. I don't know what happened but I haven't exercised, haven't watched what I have been eating and have just been plain old lazy and I hate it. I know it's no ones fault but my own and I take complete ownership of my own behaviors and choices, but now it's time to ... Mon, 24 Oct 2011 22:18:19 EST Shopping Has Never Been So Much Fun I have always been a shopper by nature, I have always loved to shop but the more weight I gained the less I wanted to, I basically shopped out of necessity to find clothes that actually fit my expanding body. Now I'm on the flip side I have to shop for clothes to fit my shrinking body and I am LOVING IT!!!

It has been a long time since I have been able to go shopping and love pretty much everything I have tried on. I can take size small shirts and size 4 or 6 pants into the dress... Mon, 3 Oct 2011 22:26:05 EST Day 1 Jamie Eason LiveFit Today was the first day for the Livefit 12 week trainer. I was able to stick to the food plan for the day, and get the workout in after dinner. It was a great workout and look forward to tomorrows. I will say the hardest thing for me is getting use to eating all of the food, I was only able to finish half of my dinner I felt like I was going to pop lol.

I am very excited for these 12 weeks and to see the changes in my body. I absolutely love strength training so I know I will e... Mon, 22 Aug 2011 22:14:19 EST I've Realized it's Not the End of the World... I have been on vacation for the past week and a half. Not a vacation where I went anywhere just a stay home and do whatever kind of vacation. I swore to myself I would keep up with my workouts and healthy eating while on vacation and why not I had all the time in the world. Which brings me to this blog, my healthy lifestyle came to a screeching halt while I was on vacation.

I can say I did in part enjoy not worrying about getting my workout in and about everything I ate, it was ... Sun, 14 Aug 2011 16:46:15 EST Stop Being So Hard on Yourself Why are so many of us so hard on ourselves, especially when it comes to how we look? I have yet to figure this out and this is something I struggle with often. There are days when I get up look in the mirror and think "damn, I look pretty good" and then an hour later I could notice one little flaw and then it becomes a day of picking all my little flaws out.

I have lost 28 pounds since September and I am damn proud of it. Although I have days where I think I could be at my goal ... Tue, 7 Jun 2011 14:02:58 EST To Buy or Not to Buy Opinions Needed I was in Kohls this afternoon and tried on a couple of dresses for work. I bought one but was a little undecided on the other. So here is a pic of me in the dress (not a great pic) but I just can't decide if it looks good enough on to spend the $42 on it lol.

I have yet to master the ability to take a picture of myself in a mirror.

<B... Mon, 6 Jun 2011 21:13:47 EST Today Things Change For the past couple of months I have just kind of been going through the motions. I have run a couple of 5k's and gone out for a run or run on my treadmill once or twice a week. I know I haven't been giving myself the attention that I should be. My food has been so so but I haven't really been tracking much and I have definitely been overdoing it on the sweets.

The scale hasn't moved in almost 2 months and it's no wonder why. Today I woke up with whole new attitude. Today is a... Mon, 16 May 2011 10:31:24 EST Sometimes We Surprise Ourselves This past weekends was probably one of the best I have had in a long time. Saturday night my husband and I had planned a date night, it had been a while since just the two of got to go out together. We went out for dinner then headed over to the mall to pick up some Mothers Day gifts. First stop Old Navy, I spied the really cute linen pants that I have been wanting but refused to pay full price for, and wouldn't you know they were on sale for $17.50 WOOT! My husband told be to get 2 pairs... Tue, 10 May 2011 12:04:02 EST Friday's 5K Recap Friday was my second 5k of the season and I was doing it with a few friends which is always great. My lack of training over the last couple of weeks had me a little nervous that I was totally going to be sucking wind and walking a good part of it which was an awful feeling since my goal was to finish between 32 and 34 minutes.

It was a beautiful day and a very well done event. I was super excited to be doing this and to be doing it with friends. It was a little windy but you ca... Sun, 24 Apr 2011 15:27:01 EST Been Busy The past week and a half has been a bit of a blur. I don't think I have known if I was coming or going. Last Thursday my sister went in to have her baby (it was a beautiful baby girl) and I was planning to spend the night with my nephew so her husband could be with her. I worked until 1:00 on Thursday and then made the hour plus trip down to the hospital and her house. I don't think I ate anything from 1:00 that afternoon until 1:00 the following day. Everytime I tried to eat I got side ... Wed, 20 Apr 2011 22:28:35 EST My Weekend: Shopping, Running and a Pedicure This past weekend was probably the best weekend I have had in along time. It was all about doing fun things that I wanted to do. Saturday my mother and I had planned a shopping trip and a pedicure. The first thing we did was get our pedi's I almost forgot how much I loved them 224 . After that we were off for our day of shopping. I got the cutest dress at TJ Maxx, it's that stretchy kinda polyester and cotton material and it looks so nice on, I was pleasantly surprised because ... Mon, 11 Apr 2011 12:46:33 EST Catching Up Hi everyone - been a little while since I have blogged so I thought I would just give a little update.

My first 5k of the season is this coming Saturday, I'm pretty nervous as the training has been as good as it could be, I've been slacking a little more than I like with it but I take complete ownership of it. I am also very excited for Saturday's race, there is something about running a race that just makes me feel so happy and alive. I'm super happy to be sharing this seasons r... Sun, 27 Mar 2011 19:37:37 EST So Much Fun Over this past weekend my husband and I went out shopping so I could get some new clothes that actually fit. I have always loved shopping and buying clothes but the bigger I got the more frustrating clothes shopping was and the less I enjoyed it. This past weekend was a totally different experience. The first store we went in to I grabbed a few pairs of pants (size 8 104 ) and brought them into the dressing room, every single pair fit!! It was the best feeling, I came out of the ... Wed, 16 Mar 2011 09:13:45 EST It's Funny Over the last 6 months I have lost 25 pounds, which is so great! It has been a slow going process but it's what works best for me and allows me not to fall of the wagon so to speak. I have had various comments over the course of the 6 months about the weight loss, mostly from family and close friends. It's funny to me that in the past week people from all over work have been commenting on my loss and telling me how great I look and how much weight I have lost.

What really stood ... Fri, 11 Mar 2011 09:29:29 EST Weekend Stuff This weekend was pretty laid back and lots of fun. Saturday morning my friend and I went for a nice three mile walk and caught up which is always a good time. Then another friend and I got together later in the afternoon for some shopping, tanning and a little healthy cooking. We had tons of laugh and maybe a little too much Sangria but it was a great time nonetheless.

Saturday I used my NuWave oven for the first time I made a whole chicken with red potatoes, green beans and car... Sun, 6 Mar 2011 20:52:51 EST 6 Months on Spark Today is my 6 month anniversary on Spark, I can't believe 6 months has gone by already. I have learned so much over these last months and met so many amazing people and have read so many motivational and inspirational stories.

In 6 months I have lost 23 pounds, gained a lot of my self confidence back (still working on that one), learned that I love to run, and realized that my body can do much more than I ever thought possible. While there is still a lot left to get under control... Tue, 1 Mar 2011 18:03:48 EST Busy, Busy, Busy It has been an absolute whirl wind of a week, and it's a short work week to boot lol. My business partner and I have picked back up with our handbag business again (after a 4 month break, shhh don't tell anyone). I have been putting a lot of time and energy into that over the last few days as well as working my regular full time job which has been busy as well.

I'm proud of myself though, with everything going on I have still gotten my workouts in and have been having my planned ... Wed, 23 Feb 2011 14:39:43 EST Running When I started on my weight loss journey a friend of mine told me to check out the C25K program. I looked it up thought I could probably do it and began the program. I have never in my life enjoyed running, it was always something I did because I knew I needed the cardio. After finishing the program and running my first 5K I fell in love with running. I’m still new to the sport but I really do enjoy seeing how far I can push myself, what my body is capable of and the great sense of pride ... Fri, 18 Feb 2011 13:05:53 EST Looking for Some Help I am a picky eater, always have been. I can remember when I was a kid I would try to spread my food around my plate so it would look like I had eaten it. There were days where I would sit at the dinner table and gag through the entire meal because I didn’t like the taste of what we were having. I’m still like that (very sad).

Over the last week I have been doing a lot of thinking about cutting most meat out of my diet and I was left with the question, what will I eat? I need to... Thu, 17 Feb 2011 12:34:53 EST Busy Evening Getting Prepared for the Week I have had a busy evening of making food for breakfast, snacks and lunch for the week. I made some granola bars, haven't tried one yet not sure if this recipe is a keeper or not, I'm a little skeptical of the smell lol. Then I made some peanut butter and chocolate granola for some little snacks and that is absolutely amazing! Made a big batch of chili with ground turkey for lunch for the week and then some oatmeal with apples, brown sugar and cinnamon. I'm not a huge oatmeal fan so this w... Sun, 13 Feb 2011 19:22:40 EST Tentative Race Schedule My friend and I have made a list of all of the races for the year that we would like to do, that being said nothing is set in stone it's a very busy schedule. We have races starting in April and ending with a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving.

Here is what we are looking at right now:
April 2nd - 5k Concord NH
April 9th - 5k Moultonborough
April 16th - 5k Rochester
April 22nd - 5k Concord
May 8th - 5k Bow
May 14th - 5k Canterbury
May 26th - 5k Con... Thu, 10 Feb 2011 12:15:01 EST Why I Decided to Change My Life and Stick with It I thought I would put together a little blog listing out the reasons I decided to change my life and lose some weight and stick with it.

Reasons why I wanted to change:

1. Because I was beginning to hate the person I was turning in to.

2.Because looking at my reflection in the mirror made me want to cry.

3. I got to the point where the "big" clothes I had were getting tight.

4. Because I was losing pieces of myself, literally, I lost my c... Tue, 8 Feb 2011 18:40:46 EST Back to It After several weeks on not running I ran last night. I was on the treadmill and I definitely hit the wall I always seem to hit right around 20-25 mins but I did it. I felt so good after getting that run in that it reminded me how much I like it.

I am getting ready to sign up for a couple of 5k races for the spring and I'm really looking forward to it. One of my good friends said she would sign up with me. I think we are going to try a run outside this weekend. I haven't run ou... Tue, 8 Feb 2011 12:58:23 EST Poor Food Choices I had been doing really well sticking with my planned meals and exercise these last couple of weeks, I noticed I had more energy and with eating the right stuff my workouts were even better, I felt stronger.

Then this week rolls around and I should of known TOM was going to completely derail my efforts. Normally I can fight the cravings and laziness but not this month this month TOM won BOO! Yesterday I totally had some bad, bad, bad stuff, I had a regular Coke, I didn't drink it... Fri, 4 Feb 2011 12:04:37 EST Something New I just went out and bought myself the Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown DVD. I decided I need something new to add to my weekly routine. I'm excited and nervous to try this, yoga is not something I've ever really done before. I will have to give an update once I have done the workout a couple of times.

I'm looking forward to February because it means that Spring is just that much closer and I can't wait to be able to go out and enjoy the weather, Winter just seems to be so long a... Sun, 30 Jan 2011 18:29:36 EST Happy Friday! I'm so happy it's Friday and the weekend is almost here just about 7 more hours for me. I'm looking forward to my weekend plans and some time to relax. Tonight I am running home after work to squeeze in a ST workout and then my friend and I are going to go have a drink and then back to my house for some girl time, which is much needed right now!

Saturday will be a day of cleaning, my stepson has a basketball game and then later on another friend of mine is coming over for the eve... Fri, 28 Jan 2011 09:38:21 EST It's Going to be a Good Day! Today is going to be great! I plan to make it a great day no matter what decides to get in my way. I got up this morning and headed for the shower, stepped on my scale and I was down 1 pound 244 . Not only was I down a pound but I am officially out of the 150's and that is a feeling that nothing and nobody can take away from me today. I haven't seen the 140's in probably 4 or 5 years.

The sun is out, the snow has stopped and there is only one more workday to this week,... Thu, 27 Jan 2011 09:18:45 EST Co-Workers "If you don't have anything nice then do not say anything at all."

We all know this little saying, we all heard time and time again as children I'm sure. Then why is it that people as they get older forget that little phrase? It amazes me on how rude, inconsiderate and offensive some people can be.

This all stems from something that was said to me at work yesterday. It wasn't the most horrible thing anyone has ever said to me but it caught me off guard a little bit. ... Wed, 26 Jan 2011 09:05:51 EST Resistance Bands I love them and hate them all at the same time. My husband just bought a set of these from Muscle and Fitness that you can hook on to your gym and free weights. Last night was my first time using them. The difference between the band training and the free weight training is amazing. I definitely felt more of a burn and worked up much more of a sweat with the bands then I normally do with the free weights. I felt myself on the last few reps of each set fighting for it (I did get it).
... Tue, 25 Jan 2011 12:05:48 EST Getting Back To It This week is all about getting back into the swing of things and putting my best foot forward. I have been struggling over the last couple of weeks to stay on track but have been unsuccessful. My attempts were not only hampered by my own self sabotage but the flu hit me like a ton of bricks last week , I can happily say that the flu is gone and I'm feeling 100 times better!

I started this week with planning out all my meals and workouts for the week. I'm going to do my best to s... Mon, 24 Jan 2011 13:11:47 EST Some of this Weeks Food So tonight I was busy preparing some of my food for the week, mainly stuff to have while I'm at work. Just thought I would share what I made with some pics.

This is my breakfast for the week Light & Fit yogurt mixed with strawberries, yum!

Chocolate peanut butter protein bars that actually smell like a peanut butter cup.

... Sun, 23 Jan 2011 20:32:56 EST Time to Get Back on Track So this past week has been an incredibly rough one for me. Monday night I was in the ER to get something checked out and get some medicine so I could get rid of it as soon as possible so I wouldn't be miserable all week. Tuesday was the quite the day at work topped off by traveling home in a nasty snow storm. Wednesday morning when I woke up to get ready for work I felt the full force of the flu hit me, down for two days ugh! Being sick is no fun and the last time I had the flu like that ... Sat, 22 Jan 2011 22:00:53 EST Lack of Motivation I don't know what's happening with me lately, I'm doing pretty good with food but exercise is a whole different issue. I just have such a lack of motivation lately to either get on my treadmill or get out in the weight room. I'm pretty disappointed with feeling like this. My lack of being able to push through it is so frustrating! 234

I don't know if this cold winter weather 425 has something to do with it or not but I don't like it. My stepson is currentl... Mon, 17 Jan 2011 11:12:16 EST For Those with a Soda Habit I just picked up a daily calendar and as I was ripping out the pages of the days that had passed I found something that was so aimed right at me that I kept it and put it up in my office. I love soda and I have cut back significantly to one or two diet soda's a week but I often have to fight off the craving. Now when I'm at my desk craving a soda I can look up and read this:

Soda is liquid Satan. It is the devil. It is garbage. There is nothing in soda that should be p... Mon, 10 Jan 2011 12:34:35 EST I'm Ready December was a difficult month for me. Until this week I think I had only one other day of exercise. I tried to be real good about what I was eating, I'm not going to lie I did indulge a little. In the beginning of the Christmas shopping season I kindly asked my husband not to fill my stocking with candy and he was so good and didn't put any in so I didn't have that to torture me.

For me this week is the beginning of my new year, I figured why wait. I am looking forward to my c... Wed, 29 Dec 2010 11:18:27 EST Strength Training: Day 1 (with pictures) Today began my strength training. Fortunately we have a home gym and I have a husband who knows all about this stuff (otherwise I would be lost). I have always been a little uncomfortable at the gym and I hated paying for it so this works out for us.

Here are a couple of pics of our gym setup. It's in our garage and not heated so I made sure to take a pic of how we heat it while we are out there and can I just say Brrrrrrrrrrrr.

<img src="http://photos-ak.sparkpeople... Mon, 27 Dec 2010 20:45:13 EST A Note to my Futureself (The Skinny Me) You worked hard to get where you are today. Losing all of that weight was not easy for you but you did it, and you refuse to go back. Remember you need to continue to work on maintenance now. Just because you have hit your goal weight does not mean you can eat whatever passes by and that you no longer have to workout. Remember you chose a lifestyle change and you need to stick with it. DO NOT THROW IT ALL AWAY!

You are happier than you have been in years. You have done thing... Wed, 8 Dec 2010 13:56:15 EST December December is such a crazy busy month, it's amazing how much there is to do and how little time. I have Christmas shopping to do, gifts that I'm making (bit off way more than I could chew), work, working out and finding time to wrap everything phew! How do you all make sure to keep your workouts going strong through all the craziness? With everything going on it's so easy to get off track.

Next Saturday I will be hosting a family Christmas party at my house. I'm super excited to ... Tue, 7 Dec 2010 19:43:06 EST I Ran My First 5K I did a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning. I was very nervous, I have only run outside once since I started running in September, all of my running has been on a treadmill. I was nervous about my breathing in the cold air, I was nervous that I would be the slowest and I was nervous that I just wouldn't be able to do it.

We all lined up to start the race and I thought to myself well if I just walk it there's no harm in that, and there's not other than the fact that I told myself... Fri, 26 Nov 2010 19:57:13 EST The Holidays I don't know about everyone else but I am really looking forward to the holiday season. I love that my family has small celebrations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, nothing over the top just good food, and quality time with the family.

Last year I put on my first Christmas party at my house for family and friends. It was so much fun to have everyone here and to celebrate. I'm really looking forward to it this year as well.

What is your favorite part of the holiday sea... Mon, 22 Nov 2010 21:24:30 EST Thank you! Thank you to my Spark friends for your kind words on my blog about my 5k. The more of your wonderful comments I read and the more thinking I did I realized what I did was an accomplishment. So I didn't run it but I finished it and I made pretty decent time. Not only did I finish it but when it was over I turned around and walked the entire trail back to the car.

I was able to have the experience of what it's like to participate in a 5k and see what it's all about before I actual... Mon, 8 Nov 2010 21:28:52 EST A Little Disappointed I signed up to do a 5k today. I originally had not intention of running it just enjoying a nice walk. As it got closer I convinced myself I was going to run it. I decided I had the training so why not. Well.....I chickened out and walked it 24 I walked as fast as I could and finished in 45:18 which I thought was ok time for walking.

I'm disappointed in myself because I knew I could of run it I was just to scared to try. I was pretty hard on myself throughout the wa... Sat, 6 Nov 2010 15:57:20 EST Weekend Plans So excited for the weekend. On Saturday I am participating in a 5k, I haven't decided if I will run or walk yet. I'm still a little nervous and have the fear that I won't be able to do it. I know it seems silly but nonetheless it's how I feel 29
On Sunday I have a 6 mile walk planned with some friends. I'm really looking forward to the fun weekend plans. It's great to know that it's going to be an active weekend and I get to do it all with people I love.

One of... Thu, 4 Nov 2010 22:02:51 EST I Like Me I like me, words I haven't said in a very long time. As the pounds have been put on I have liked myself less and less. With every increase in pant size my confidence fell by the wayside. After almost 2 months on Spark and beginning to change myself I like me again.

I can't believe how good it feels to like myself again. My cheekbones are beginning to make an appearance and to my surprise I have ribs and hip bones (who would of known). I like putting on certain outfits and look... Mon, 25 Oct 2010 20:31:52 EST Running So today begins my outdoor running. I have not run outside in years. I have been running on a treadmill and I know that it is completely different. To me it seems running outside may be a little more difficult as I don't have something giving me any momentum other than my legs. I think it is going to be very interesting to see if I enjoy this or not (I'm hoping I love it). I am beginning this because my darling friends LCHADBOURNE and her husband have talked me into running my first 5k w... Mon, 25 Oct 2010 12:18:31 EST My Favorite Jeans Ok so a little while back I posted a blog entry about a pair of jeans that I haven't been able to wear in a little over a year but I was able to get them on and button them just had the muffin top going because they were a little snug.

Well....after a little over a month on Sparkpeople they fit. I was so excited I had to take a couple pictures just to prove it lol. So I will share them with you, they are just pics of me from the hips down, I didn't think it was necessary to share... Sun, 17 Oct 2010 18:41:04 EST What One Month on Sparkpeople has Done for Me I have been a member of Spark for a little over a month and in that time I have tracked my food daily and very rarely gone over my calories. I am paying close attention to what I am eating and planning to the best of my ability what I will be eating each day. I can now run for 28 minutes straight without stopping (or dropping dead). I am beginning to feel better about myself. The scale is slowly moving but I feel good.

I have met some pretty amazing people on this site and am t... Wed, 13 Oct 2010 21:54:15 EST 3 Day Weekend I had a wonderful 3 day weekend. My husband and I attended a wedding on Saturday and when I put my outfit on to go I couldn't believe how much smaller I appeared, I don't know if it was the cut of the clothes or me but I loved it, I felt so good.

Saturday was really the only day that we had plans so it was nice to take the rest of my long weekend to get some stuff done around the house. We moved a couple of rooms around yesterday and I had to finish up the little things today. A... Mon, 11 Oct 2010 22:08:01 EST
