When I've done that walk in the past it's taken an hour, but I got a late start this morning so didn't have an hour. I pushed hard, ran a tiny bit (maybe 20 feet) and made the 3.2 mile walk in 50 minutes! I'm very excited that I actually did it. It wasn't too bad either and my daughter really seemed to get a kick out of it - she generally likes stroller rides. Anyways, now that I'm here the only way home is to walk (non-negotiable since nobody who'd offer... Sun, 19 Nov 2006 12:59:04 EST Ick http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=318596 Man, I really overdid it at that party tonight - the second brownie was definitely overkill and I knew it when I ate it - but I still did it. Now I have a stomache. Bluck. Must remember this next time I'm tempted to excessively overdo it - it's not worth feeling this way afterwards. Even without considering the mental and emotional consequences - my body knows it doesn't need or want to eat like this anymore and is letting me know - LOUDLY. Right now I can't even imagine wanting that bro... Sun, 19 Nov 2006 00:15:16 EST Party Hitch NOT Stop http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=318591 Okay, I'm back from the party so feel the need to report. I ended up going over on calories (I think) in spite of my light day. I guesstimated a lot to enter everything in the Food Tracker because of course I didn't measure anything at the party. Anyways, my total for today is 2,422 and my "correct" range is 1200 - 1550. Oops! I did okay on not standing near the food at first and my daughter helped keep me away ;) but they had these huge gooey triple chocolate brownies and I ate two - ev... Sun, 19 Nov 2006 00:05:05 EST Progress is Encouraging http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=318432 I'm feeling pretty good because I had my measurements done on Wednesday and found out that I less than I did 3 years ago when I started working at Curves. I'm still about 7 pounds away from my lowest weight in the last three years - that was after I did the "6 Week Solution" and before I got pregnant - but it's only 7 pounds! This challenge has been a great motivator for me - especially this week as I want to finish strong (even if I can't quite make it to 15 pounds by Tuesday). I was doin... Sat, 18 Nov 2006 17:42:42 EST (no title) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=246264 Well, I haven't been doing great, but thought I'd try this journaling thing again anyways. I'm feeling slightly inspired after reading the featured journal a couple of days ago (though of course I can't remember now whose it was), so I'm trying to journal. Anyways. I've been tracking and measuring my food strictly this week (per my Stage), which hasn't been too hard because I'd kind of being doing that during the last week of FastBreak anyways. However, I'm going out to dinner tonight and... Mon, 21 Aug 2006 19:26:15 EST (no title) http://www.sparkpeople.com/mypage_public_journal_individual.asp?blog_id=229269 We just found out it's going to cost almost $900 to get the van fixed, Don's stressed because he's getting ready for Arts Academy next week, the office (which I'd just organized) is a mess because they moved everything in a hurry when they came to replace the air conditioner last week - which didn't actually happen because all the replacements were broken - and my kitchen is sticky again. I'm feeling frustrated and overwhelmed and wanted to find something sweet and sit down and veg. Instead... Tue, 1 Aug 2006 16:08:20 EST
