If you have ever been on a cruise you know it is not the place to lose weight. Delicious food is always available and wonderful desserts. I gained 4 pounds during that trip and I've had a really hard time losing them. But I think (considering up and down a pound everyday) I have finally trended down to my regular maintenance place. The physical trainer there didn't really challenge me and I became weaker. Now that I'm retired my retired friends encouraged me to to join their fitness club. It is called active age and their focus is on functional strength. Most of the members are a litle bit older than the usual people at a club. I signed up for a fitness class three times a week. The classes are very small, rarely more than five people, so it is almost like ahaving a physical traine... It's being taught by a private person who plays twice a week. She was a special ed teacher for many years.
